Being Cassandra (Ohhh what about Contessa? lol) it's at least a lot easier to identify as a different person, which should make it easier to distance ourselves from Konrad. A lot depends on when we are actually starting, but right now I'm not convinced to give ourselves up to the tender mercies of the Imperium cough Inquisition cough until Guilliman is awake.
No clue how he would react, but he at least would see the value in a second Primarch who can take the sort of jobs he wasn't made to do.
Otherwise? Maybe clear up some threats to the Imperium discreetly. Not too hot on Chaos either.

If I remember the books correctly, even up to 40k the Night Lords generally took pride in having their gene-seed be as pure and uncorrupted as possible, to the point where their average marine had access to all of the gene-mods available to a space marine. I think it would be great fun to lead a Renegade fleet around the galaxy fucking over Chaos's plans.

We could be the pirate primarch (Piramarch?) If we wanted to, gathering renegades and traitors that would've otherwise fell to Chaos or died to the Imperium maybe?

Kassandra Kurze sounds cool, not gonna lie-
now that we are going full edgelady, may I suggest finding a way to train our combat prowess? Because while Kurze has a long record of fighting primarchs… it's the winning part that's the problem. Frankly, getting the shit kicked out of us by a naked Vulkan is not an experience we should repeat.

I prefer we go make our own faction, Chaos is Chaos and the Imperium is a rotting corpse that doesn't realize it's already dead.
To be fair, Vulkan is literally unkillable, he lost the duel to Lion when Corswain stabbed him in the spine after the Lion cheapshot him, and Kurze was strangling him before that, and Sanguinius is Sanguinius. He also took on the Lion and Guilliman later on and won.
Did he win? I thought he ran off?
He did... After detonating the place they were fighting on top of them and almost killing them both if it wasn´t for Barbaras Dantioch. So I´ll count that as his win.
I suppose that's fair.
Just an idea
If Kurze/Kassandra's gene seed is compatible with women can we make well not female space marines more like seers and assassins. Where space marines are largely a sword the seers and assassins are more like a surgical loupe and scalpel, inflicting small but dangerous wounds upon important enemy locations and personnel like commanders, supply lines, strongholds.

Night lords during the GC were more terror troops who came in, skin a bunch of people alive and then leave before anything capable of fighting back arrives.
Also no seers because Konrad hated Psyker.

But he had a Librarius. He shut it down after the Edict of Nikea iirc but he wasn't like Mortarion or anything. Hell, he knew Sevatar was a latent psyker
