Eh, the desert is unforgiving and they are rather independent. Worst come to worse I imagine them just retreating into the desert and making the life of any imperial who dares search for them a living hell.

Like we were doing anything else. The Duke would screw us over if we tried to get one of those healings as a Sheikah, doubly so if he figured out who we really were.

Yeah, bird-person anatomy is odd. It lets them hold the deadly soup ladle though.

The Rito have been forced out of their land and made nomads? Oh, yeah, that sucks. Sure, the Gerudo rely on the trade lifeline and it's hard to do much to a landscape that's already an active volcano. The Zoras and Rito are priorities 1 and 2.
I also bet Kass knew exactly what he was doing with that song. Zelda's been one tightly-wound bundle of rage just waiting to find an injustice to set right, preferably by as much slaughter as possible.

Those roving bands have got to be very unhappy with the empire by now. If Kass should whisper the right words into the right ears he can easily provide an army for Zelda when the eventually goes out for an uprising. There have got to be quite a few Rito that are ready to fight to reclaim their homes by now and Zelda is there best bet to do it.
Yea she was kind of useless in that temple but not as bad as Makar who had to carry you everywhere when flying around inside the temple IIRC.

They live in the FREAKING desert, the same desert where the Bazaar has been set up by Hylians who hate the Empire, IIRC the Gerudo helped set up the Bazaar and the Empire can't invade because they don't know how to get through the desert.
(I think the QM said something about it before.)
