Chapter 01
Humble Beginnings
USA,2021 AD
It was a normal Rainy day in the USA, Marcus was working on his thought experiment in terms of concerning the hypothetical and theoretical existence of GN Technology from Gundam 00. From the theoretical designs to the theory crafting on how a GN Drive and GN particles might work. Frantically with flash drive plugged in, he types away on the laptops keyboard as he begun rectifying errors in his mathematics.
Chuckling as he typed away for his own amusement. Until her begun to hear echoing from where he was typing. 'wait echoing?' he thought to himself, until he ended up within one of Ashford academy's classrooms. When someone entered the classroom that was empty. They said to Marcus Bluntly, words that would make his world turn upside down.
"Come with me, Ruben Ashford would like to see you"
Area 11,Ashford Academy, Ruben K Ashford office, 2011 ATB
"So let me get this straight, you've been theory crafting this 'GN' Technology for the last ten to twenty years? And you want patrons to fund your research, though I might not be able to spare the cash I'm sure my acquaintance Mr. Stanfield would love to fund and provide resources to make this theory of yours a reality" said Ruben K Ashford, the older man furrowing a brow. Though despite realizing the GN drive Tau's military potential, decided to humour Marcus's request. The man next to him another lesser noble by the name of Mr. Stanfield. Saluted Ruben and greeted Marcus.
"Salutations, I am Mr K. Stanfield, look forward to working with you for however long this project takes" Stanfield said, his formal demeanour not fading once. Marcus saluted the man, smiling.
As Marcus turned after the salute to leave, Ruben Ashford let out one last thing.
"Oh and if you do succeed in developing a GN based power source, it may cause more harm than good" Ruben K Ashford said, causing the thirty-seven year old man that was Marcus to nod back in acknowledgement of the warning that he was given. With laptop and flash drive in hand, Marcus opened the door and left for Hokkaido.
The next five years dedicated to developing and testing the GN drive Tau, which would prove to be nearly fatal for him and the hundred people under him. As there would be Nobles who plot against him. In the incident that would become known as the 'lark hill' Incident.
Hokkaido, Lark Hill Proving Grounds, 2012ATB
"This is Marcus Eisenhower, and this the thirty-seventh test of our GN Tau Project"
With that Marcus pressed the button that would start the test of pseudo-Solar Furnace, at first it seemed all was going well. The whirring of the flywheel could be audibly heard from the bunker in the distance. However something felt off to Marcus and the scientists. Just as the drive was about to generate it's first GN particles,the drive begun to spark and a power outage in the facility. Causing the emergency power to kick in and the GN tau Drive prototype going offline. One of the scientists in his team sighed in frustration as they all knew on paper this technology could theoretically work. With a Sigh, Marcus said to the faulty GN tau Drive.
"I'm or rather we are not giving up on you, you don't understand this yet but there will be people who need you so everyone let's restore power and get back to work"
December 24th, ATB 2012, Lark hill Proving grounds, Eighty-Five Failed tests Later
"This is Marcus Eisenhower and this is uh, the eighty-sixth test, testing centurion pattern GN tau Drive"
Marcus then hesitantly pushed the button that started the centurion pattern GN drive Tau. The Whirring from the prototype jet fighter engine sized Tau Drive, something in his gut felt this was right. Like they finally got it right, as the drive activated. The distinct orange glow came from the GN Drive, and particles begun to flow out of the drive in a controlled fashion into the prototype GN condensers attached to some Glasgow's they bought for testing. Marcus and the science teams eyes widened at the sight. Marcus knew the thing was running at minimum particle output and said "Increase the particle output!".
It was then the scientists to his left begun to turn a dial, slowly the particle output of the GN Drive Tau Prototype begun to rise until it eventually hit maximum output for it's size. Fortunately the particles were relatively safe, this was slowly going according to Marcus's plan. Lelouch wanted a gentler world for his sister. A Selfish yet noble goal, but Marcus was aiming higher.
He wanted Humanity to evolve and eliminate the horseman known as war from this world. He hoped Lelouch or rather Zero would understand. Little did he nor the scientists knew that orange light could be seen from the Tokyo settlement.
The Next Day, December 25th,ATB 2012, Tokyo Settlement
Mystery Orange Light Seen in Hokkaido
'Last night at 10:30PM, a Strange Double helix shaped orange light was spotted by several viewers within the Tokyo settlement. Rumours speculate that this might be a test for an allegedly new power supply. However the likely hood of it being a new type of particle is unlikely, as Clovis spoke saying that they are investigating the high energy anomaly. Though the Japan Liberation Front did point the finger and accused it of being a secret Britannia military project, while vice versa was accused by the military, more updates on this at a later time.'
Ashford Academy, Ruben Ashford POV
Ruben K Ashford was sitting in his office, watching the news. With a mixture of shock and horror on his face. Knowing what kind of Pandora's box was just opened, Horrified by the thing that Marcus's team was able to create. The older man had to restrain his mind from causing him to have a heart attack. It was then his grand daughter Milly Ashford walked in. When she saw the fear struck look upon her grandfathers face she asked "Grandfather, what's wrong?".
It was then he let out the words that would let Milly know that the world would never be the same.
"Oh Marcus Eisenhower, What have your team done!? Your technology could doom us all!".
All that Ruben knew was science fiction had just become science fact. What was worse was that this technology he knew was potentially dangerous to all in the wrong hands. Concern swept across Milly Ashford's,face the Blonde didn't know who this Marcus person was, but if her grandfather was concerned. One thing was for sure.
If Milly met Marcus Eisenhower she would confront him on why her father was so concerned about his research.
Viceroy's Palace, Clovis's POV
Clovis and his staff were looking over the footage that was recorded with such interest and vigor. With a furrowed brow he watched the footage once more. His generals and Bartley on the other hand were beginning to panic. They all knew the potential implications if this was a new power source. It could be a potential asset or a threat.
"We should look for the source and destroy whatever monstrosity they've built!" One general shouted, feeling like the status quo was being threatened.
"Wait a minute, how can we certain it's terrorist made?" Another spoke up, trying to calm down and rationalize the situation. As the General was not sure, if this was the work of terrorists.
"Both of you make good points" Clovis said, before telling Bartley and his generals "We'll have to wait and see what kind of development this actually is, if it's hostile yet useful we can just send the OSI in to secure the scientists and data, I'll have to console my Brother in the homeland about this".
Everyone in the war room said in unison "Yes Milord" before disbanding for the day. Though little did Clovis knew that what they saw was the future of warfare.
