Name: Gilgamesh
Universe: Type-MOON
Powers:
- Well, first off, he's far faster, stronger, and more durable to a human. In terms of Servant-level fighters, he's pretty weak though.
- He is King of Uruk, and all that comes from it. More specifically, he has all the dosh. Just... All of it. The answer to the question "How rich is he?" is "Yes" for simple value of the fact that he'll always have enough money for anything that requires it. He could buy a country if such a thing was possible.
- It's hard to pin down, but there's a quality to him that makes people want to listen to him. In essence, it's like a curse that compels people that meet him to regard him as an ally, unless he takes hostile action. However, in the end, it simply influences others, not controls them. It's not all that strong, as far as curses can get, after all.
- Lastly, and most importantly, is the Gate of Babylon.
- It takes the form of golden ripples in the air, which can be reached through to pull things out. Or the things can simply be dropped out of a vertical portal due to gravity. Or, as his main method of attack, they can be shot out, with both high speed and power. Of course, this is only useful when using the weapons that exist in it. Anything else would simply break.
- There can be more than one portal, up to 15 acting at once. They have to be relatively near Gil to exist, so the standard firing line is a number behind him. When one's close to him, the different an
- Portals can take items in as well as take em out. If one telegraphs their shot, the natural consequence is seeing it snatched from the air. The portals themselves aren't quite instantly-forming, though, so it's of limited use.
- One portal shooting a weapon is slow enough for any Servant-level person to deflect or dodge the projectile. With more... It depends on how strong/fast/experienced they are. Saber, for example, would be able to hold her ground against a barrage without issue, though advancing would prove difficult.
- She wouldn't be able to do so against his adult self, due to his ability to use more gates, at different angles, and with projectiles with unusual effects mixed in to the "generic" NP swords. As a child, however, Gil's treasury isn't as extensive, and he only knows to shoot people with the gate by knowing he does it in the future. So his experience with it is rather less.
- The main use of the Gate, though, is to hold all of Gil's thing. And these things include quite a few marvels. A tent that's more like an opulent mansion on the inside, an umbrella that turns into a forcefield that blocks all water when used in the rain, an indestructable soccer ball that bursts into flames when hit really hard, etc. Lots and lots of things. More importantly for hostile interactions, aside from the number of generic but weighty in Mystery weapons, is Enkidu.
- Enkidu is Best Chain. Best Noble Phantasm of all, actually. The King of Heroes decrees it, and therefore, it is so. The base form of this chain is as always. Practically teleports around the enemy to bind them, strength is comparable to the target's Divinity, yada yada. However, it's not really useful against those without Divinity at all. Just a sturdy chain. Therefore, Gil's gotta find a way around that.
- By wrapping it around his arm, he gives it some of the strength it would have against his own level of Divinity, something more than a simple, sturdy chain. It's nowhere near as ridiculous as it is against half-gods, but it's fully capable of moving fast and staying durable enough to intercept a volley from the Gate of Babylon. He can direct it, but only that. While it's generally agreeable enough to do what Gil wants it to do, it'll prioritize keeping him safe over anything he directs it to. Their friendship is written into Enkidu's body,; even now, without his soul, what remains of him will not allow his friend to come to harm.
- Technically possesses the qualifications to become Grand Caster, eyes that see far more than what is reasonable. However, it's boring just knowing everything, so he's sealed them away. He can't seal them entirely, so he's quite perceptive regarding the character of those before him, but that's about the extent of it.
- He miiight break them out if it's something that both doesn't matter at all objectively and matters a lot to him personally, though. In other words, never play cards against him if the prize is something he wants.
Personality:
Rather divorced from his older self, he's generally an upbeat person, not taking most things seriously. He doesn't have any responsibilities in this age, after all, so he might as well simply experience life and enjoy himself. Of course, experiencing life on one's own isn't all that entertaining, so he enjoys meeting and interacting with interesting people. He might even help them out if he thinks they deserve it, he's in a good mood, they offer him something he doesn't already have, etc. Most of the time, though, he stands back and watches. It's their life, after all, and their struggles. The struggles of those he tends to interact with are often quite interesting to watch, though, and he has quite the supply of popcorn in his treasury.
Also, he's a bit of a magpie. Not so much that he goes to collect shiny things, as those just come to him naturally, but if he sees something he doesn't already have, he greatly desires it for his own. Of course, he wouldn't do something like steal it, but he'd bury the current owner in gold if he sees something he wants, make a wager of some kind that he's confident in winning, etc.
He takes most things pretty easily. Insults, attacks, whatever, he doesn't see any need to get mad at them. But that doesn't mean he's without his temper. Even in this age, without responsibilities, he still feels compelled to defend his kingdom. He will not allow anything to wreak havoc among civilians, Grail War or not. He absolutely hates the person he becomes, and tries not to think about the certainty that he continues to age. And most of all, he will not allow others to use one he sees as a friend.
