Pointing and clicking is faster against normals than claws. If they're juiced up on the supernatural though, they could ignore the bullets.

I'd argue San damage through the scream might be more effective to break their resolve. The claws were more a backup if they don't fail their save.

The goal is to save Jackson unimpeded. The danger in a gunshot might be Jackson being held hostage or get caught in the crossfire.

Edit: removed shoot vote on deliberation.

EDIT: adding in a compromise solution

[X] Shoot them while roaring, then call for help

We have more pressing concerns, though.. Assuming we are successful in bringing Jackson over how do we save his life?

I don't think the garden would react to him like it did with Larkin, who was contaminated with the Eldritch god.

As far as I can see, our options are turning to Emily for help.. Maybe she could use her brand of Dream god magic to draw another dreamself of Jackson - especially now that she has the gemstone as a focus.

Another option could be.. while Emily pressures his wound open the doorway to home in the physical Red house and rush him to a hospital. But it's not a guarantee that Jackson won't pass from bloodloss or the subsequent surgery.

Another option could be to rely on the garden, for the flowers to root in his wounds and become a part of him that way.

Oliver himself could try something with colour magic and essentially paint away his pain metaphyisically onto canvas. We managed to put pieces of the dead eldritch creature in the well like that.. surely we could paint away a bullet? And then transfer the colours of halness and life onto Jackson..

Seal him in a portrait as a last resort if we need time

Invoking Isis could be another option. But she has never physically healed anyone, only soothed pain.

Rather late in the voting process, but I figure it was worth a shot

This is most sensible, actually. I feel this quest should have argument as a factor for voting as well. Sometimes people tune in to vote after the update and forget to check for later development.

We can portal Jackson to the red realm if medical attention isn't immediately available.

@Tascion Could we include a portal option though as a conditional if help doesn't arrive - or worse, more cultists come?

Investigation
You opened your mouth and let out what you had planned to be a roar, but in fact came out as one of those unearthly deep threatening rumbles that Nemo could make. The cultists turned to face you, leaving one to keep Jackson pinned. You could see him still struggling, the cultist unable to finish the kill with how much he was fighting. That was good, that gave you time. You pulled out your gun and shot at the cultists, doing your best to not get near Jackson but fully willing to kill to protect him.

Shot Accuracy
Roll: 11

You clipped them with your bullets, but didn't secure any kills. That was fine, they were injured and off balance. It gave you room to run in and start hitting them up close. You were quickly reminded that they had these curved cleavers with them that they were swinging around. Thankfully your scales deflected the blades from cutting into you, and you were able to disarm one of the men and throw him back into the one pinning Jackson. That gave room for your friend to draw his own gun and shoot.

The cultist fell back. Jackson had much better aim with a gun than you did, that was for sure. You knocked the next cultist back. "Ready to die?" you growled at them.

The cultists looked at each other silently before falling back, injured and trailing blood, but alive.

You let out a deep breath and turned to Jackson. "You made it." He grinned weakly at you and fell back on the bed.

"It's gonna be alright, I'm getting a doctor," you promised. You rushed to the phone and called reception. "Hello? I need a doctor, room 410, immediately! There's been an attempted murder!"

The receptionist panicked before promising to get right on that. You turned around to Jackson and grabbed the sheets from the bed to help staunch the wound.

"Listen, I'm not going to be of much help to you," Jackson said. He coughed again.

"You don't need to be of help, you're my friend," you told him.

He grinned and shook his head. "Not-not what I meant. There's-it's bigger than I thought. Larkin," Jackson coughed again. "Larkin was an offshoot. There's more of them."

"More of the fat vampires?" You grimaced.

"More cultists," Jackson corrected. "Check my notes."

Paramedics arrived then. They rushed over and began to look over Jackson. He looked at you gravely. "Be careful! Don't tell anyone!" He was carted away, leaving you standing in the bloody room with police.

An investigator stepped over to you. "Can you tell me what happened here?"

"I-I don't actually know. Jackson called me to meet and talk with him, he said it was important. When I arrived there were three men in the room trying to kill him." You gestured wildly and pointed to the trail of blood leading out of the balcony. "They ran when I interrupted them and helped Jackson fight back."

The investigator nodded. "Any idea why your friend was targeted?"

[X]Say no, keep quiet

Well he did pretty directly tell us not to.
First thing we do we read the notes.
Second thing, maybe arrange security for Jackson's hospital room in case they try to finish him off?
Or try to track down the cultists based on their scent trail.
It depends on what the notes say.

[X]Say no, keep quiet

Every time, that I can recall, involving mundanes without a clear plan or story they can grasp simply harms their sanity or causes them to decide they know more than us about the next appropriate actions.

[X]Say no, keep quiet. And..
-[X] Afterwards use your familiar's senses to check on Jackson's condition.
-[X] Use your social charm or money on the nurses to get additional info and for them to dedicate giving the best possible care to Jackson.
-{X] Should his condition be critical, arrange a scenario where you can spirit him away to the Red realm for esoteric means to save him..

Most sensible, Jackson explicitly warned us to stay quiet too. Memetic effect might be in effect?

The detective will either be a cultist, a mundane or stubborn enough to stumble to the occult

Edit
Also I think its best if he had someone watch over Jackson in the Hospital dont want any assassin taking another friend
