Well not just boys, though that would be a good way to segue onto the matter of Kyousuke (and let Homu help you pressure Sayaka into avoiding poorly-thought-out contracting over him)

Day three without an update.

I don't know if I can make it much longer. The sands go on forever, and there are no updates. Possibly, I've been wandering in circles, journeying in a fruitless circle in the same old, dry thread. I can't feel the back of my throat, but I can feel the sun. It's hot, so hot... I've found shade behind this large post, but I don't know how long it'll be until someone else posts a wall of text large enough for shade.

If only the lurkers had posted. If only I had finished Worm all those years ago, and maybe been able to find myself to one of the sixty billion Worm quests on this site... If only, if only. I could spend an eternity wondering about if onlys.

I'm leaving the rock. I figure I'll take this journal with me. If someone finds this, out here in the desert, remember one thing...

On account of finals, my quest has been stalled for five or six days now.

Sorry, if anyone is actually wondering. I'm not used to a low number of votes, so my fucked up brain is going "Leave it, maybe poke the thread, it'll get more votes!" because I'm wired weird.

It's fine. It is a fairly low number of votes; that's what the jab at the lurkers was for.

I see you down there Ubeone and zeebat.

But I figure three days, especially on a board this active, is usually infrequent enough to justify posting a proper update if you don't have a schedule. Larger quests can get away from that for longer, because discussion can keep the thread afloat, but for a relatively small quest like this one it's usually best to bump with content often, to try to attract more people.

Also what's with the popularity of Worm here and on SB? It's like Wildbow conquered the board long ago and his cultural impact still remains, like some kinda literary Genghis Khan. Worm was good and I am 100% throwing Skitter in as a persona in my game (as I am a few other "unknowns" like Dr. Terrible and Ratman [the Japanese one]), but I dunno if it was that good.

Um. Sorry. I've taken a break from voting for quests, after the... debacle in PMAS thread. They are just running in circles over there, with the ever-increasing amounts of text and ever-decreasing politeness. So I watch that trainwreck and learn votecrafting.

Well, on one hand, midterms are over. (Praise the lord!)

On the other hand, I'll be going on Christmas vacation pretty soon, and might not have access to the internet then.

Also, I mean no offense by this, but I noticed two things that kinda broke my SoD:
  • Mami being a magical girl for only a year; I'm not sure, but I think its canon that she and Kyoko had their spat at least two years ago, and Mami was already an experienced meguca by then.
  • I know it was more than a few updates ago, but Walpurgisnacht's power coming from her nature as the Witch of Helplessness. I think she's so fuck-off powerful because Wally's been around for several centuries, and has had plenty of time to assimilate muggles and other witches. Walpurgisnacht is a name feared by magical girls.
Again, no offense.

About the first, I'm not sure.

About the second, the power of the Witch depends on many things: its age, the nature of her Wish, potential of the girl that Witched out, the number ( if any ) of people and Witches she nommed up until that point.
In Walpurgisnacht, they all sorta combined together to create fun for the whole family.
There's a theory its core was formed from Jeanne freaking D'Arc.
 
I knew I was taking liberties but I wasn't trying to shatter any SoD's.
