This is a story of a japanese person who reincarnated without a body. With their Cheat Ability to use a Gacha System that will give avatars resembling their favorite characters from different Gacha Games, they will try to live in another world while enjoying themselves to the fullest.
Hello, this is Levelgap. Don't worry, I'm still writing the Otherworlder's Skill Grinder. This idea just kept popping into my head that I can't focus on my other story.
So I decided to write this one and see what happens. There are no definite plans for this story. Only rough ideas of what I want to happen.
The basic premise is that the protagonist doesn't have a physical body. They can be considered a non-entity. The only way they can interact with the world they found themselves in is through their avatars which resembles characters from different Gacha Games that they play in their past life.
The Gacha Games that will be introduced in this story doesn't exist in reality. Just like that one story I wrote on SB about the Idle Gamer, all Gacha Games that will be introduced are solely imagined by me. Though it will have various references or even ripoffs of popular games from our reality.
I hope you like this story, and sorry again for writing another story again... now onto the story!
Who am I?
Where am I?
It's dark. So dark. I don't see anything. I don't feel anything other than my own emotions. There is no sense of contact. Even the sound of my breathing doesn't seem to register in my ears.
What happened? How did I get into this situation?
I am.... I don't know. I know I live in a country called Japan, though I can't remember whether I was born a boy or a girl, who are my parents, what did I do to my life, how does it end, etc. Even my name is missing!
There is something I remember though. It's those precious days when I got addicted to Gacha Games. I don't know why I got addicted to Gacha Games. The only memory I have is I liked it since I got into highschool.
Since playing the very first Gacha Game I discovered, I felt like my world has become so bright that I wanted to just spend my whole life playing it.
... That is weird. How come I only remember every Gacha Game I played instead of my whole life? I don't even remember the name I usually used when I'm playing online games!
Did I die? Is this the final thinking moments of my life?
I will admit, I really loved Gacha Games that it became an obsession to me. I don't remember much, but I know every Gacha Games I played, no matter what genre or the quality it has, I remember it all dearly. It might be why it's the only thing I can think of before my thoughts truly ceased to be?
Despite not feeling my own body, I tried to look around with what I consider my eyes. Though there is nothing around me. Only that prompt that seems to be stuck on my sight. Even though I can't feel anything that can be considered my eyes.
What is this?
It says that I can roll the Character Gacha for free. How do I do that?

This is....?
I just recall a certain Gacha Game that I have. It has something to do with people getting reincarnated to another world, and the Player is the God or Goddess who takes care of summoning, reincarnating, or transporting characters to another world.
The common trope from that Gacha Game is that those people that the player transported, summoned, or reincarnated to another world always have a cheat ability of their own. Is that what is happening to me?
Did I get my own cheat ability?
I really like Gacha Games, so having an ability like this is a very joyous occasion for me!
Though what kind of characters will I get?
What about my situation? There is no need to think about that!
If this is the last vestiges of my conscious thought, then I might as well enjoy myself and think that I am getting transported to another world or something.
And so I look at the Character Gacha, and was surprised when I carefully look at it. There are a lot of characters being shown on the side. Introducing them briefly, and showing an artwork of them.
Those artworks are very familiar to me. In fact, those characters are my favorites!
Milistine Fornucia from Night Hunters, Freya from Mythical Breakdown, Tamura Shizune from Gun Angels, Neva Liselotte from Decadere Collapse, Arche & Telos from the Deus Collapse, Sefros from Continuum Break, Sasha Wollund from Sin Administrator, and a lot more!
I know all of them. Most of those are the protagonist or the first main heroine from the Gacha Games that I played.
All of them are inside a single Gacha banner? It would be impossible for me to get the character I want if that is the case! Because if this truly merges every characters from every Gacha Game that I know of, it will easily reach a thousand of them!
.... Nah, it doesn't matter. I'll just pick the free spin option and let fate decide who I will get. I don't even know what I will do after I got the character.
Do you want to spend your free spin on Character Gacha?
After mentally confirming the query of the prompt, it shows me a simple card. The card has a bronze color on it.
It didn't change. It just stayed on the bronze color before it flips to the side. Showing a familiar character that I know.
Lize (1★)
I got Lize. One of the starter characters that I will get from the game Last Bastion. If I recall correctly, the game's setting is both fantasy and post apocalyptic. The basic summary is that multiple catastrophes struck the fantasy world of Lastos, and the one that acts as a stand-in for the player is the faceless leader of Last Bastion, which is an outpost for every survivors of the apocalypse.
Lize is pretty good. If I remember correctly, building her up until she gets to 5 Star with the rank 21 equipment sets will make her a decent nuke to every PvE situation. She can easily deal massive damage on Raids and Event Bosses. Her 6 Star version is also pretty busted.
Though I am only speaking through gaming terms. I don't know what's this cheat ability can do with this character?
Can I summon her personally? Will she help me from this eternal darkness I found myself in?
I was just musing that to myself, not really expecting anything to happen when I felt a sudden sensation within me. It's not like it was me, but rather something seems to be connecting to me.
I am surprised. What happened? I felt like my consciousness was suddenly pulled somewhere!
Ow... the ground feels so rough on my back. Why am I laying on a hard ground.... wait...
I immediately stood up and quickly look around my surroundings.
I just noticed, I'm not in that in that eternal darkness anymore. Around me is a vast expanse of tall grasses that reaches up to my waist. The feeling of the warm sunlight and the fresh breeze of the air makes me certain, that I can finally feel my body.
"Hm?" No, this is weird.
I just saw it. As I look below me, I saw my pale and delicate white palm, and just noticed that I am clutching a really good looking staff that has a blue orb in the middle of the metallic crescent tip on it.
My clothes also. It looks like I am cosplaying, but the outfit itself looks genuine. I am now wearing a violet outfit that seems to be a mix of a military uniform, school uniform, and a witch's suit. It exposes my shoulders and half of my arms, and my forearms are wearing some sort of fluffy white fabric. There are a lot of ribbons on this outfit, and I have a short purple skirt. I also have the black thigh highs, and the cute violet doll shoes.
Though the most surprising thing is the feeling of another limb both from the top of my head, and from my back. Looking to the side, I saw the tip of a black tail from it, and I felt like my ears are twitching.
Quickly, I tried to touch where my ears are supposed to be, and found out that I lack human ears. Now moving my hands, I felt a shiver run my whole body as I felt incredibly sensitive as I touched a clearly fluffy part atop my head.
Something that I can consider my ears. My cat ears!
And this outfit looks familiar. Which means....
"Uh.... Wait, did I just become Lize! Woah, even my voice sounds like her!?"
Right, I'm really surprised at this development!
I'll write this while I'm thinking what to do with my other stories.... I hope you enjoy this one...
If you want to support me, you can go to my Kofi account here.
So currently, I am Lize. One of the starting characters you can get on Last Bastion. Her role on the game is a rear line mage so it is obvious that she deals magic damage. Most of her kit leans on dealing massive amount of AoE magic damage to her foes, and clearing a wave as soon as possible.
The game mechanics of Last Bastion is like that of an idle combat with a bit of strategy in it. Each characters has their defined roles, with their own default positions. The roles are physical, magic, and support. This is further separated by DPS, Tank, Nuke, Healer, Buff, and Debuff by the players themselves.
Lize is considered a rear line magic type nuker. Obviously, rear line characters uses range attack.
In combat, there is what we call as waves or scenes. In each wave, there will be a group of enemies, with a maximum of five enemies. Players can put five characters from their side. Normally players put one vanguard physical tank or vanguard magical tank, two or three DPS on either rear line or mid line that is either magical or physical, and then put one support whether they are on mid line or rear line.
The battle will start with characters automatically attacking who are on their front. Sometimes they use skills based on either chances or predetermined behaviour by their AI. These skills are helpful as it will show just what a character can do.
Then there is this bar that the characters can fill which the game calls as the Limit Break Bar. It can either be operated by a player, or let it automatically activate on it's own. Professional players manually operates the Limit Break as it is faster than letting the AI takeover, who always has a delay on their operation by a second.
Limit Break is the ultimate ability of a character. There are special animations with it, and most of the time it changes the state of the game. This is why timing is always needed when using Limit Breaks. That is why professional guilds on the game prefers manually using their Limit Break on raids just so they can have more scores than the others.
That's the basic explanation about the game anyway.
If we are going by lore, Lize is pretty strong. One of the surviving mages on the post-civilization age, she is one of the recruits along with the two other girls on the expedition group. Their earlier purpose is to just get by and survive as much as they can, though as they ventured outside the Last Bastion and learn more about the apocalypse, while at the same time dealing with different monstrosities and godlike beings who causes some of the disasters that puts the world on the brink of destruction, their purpose slowly becomes that of saving the world.
Through the progression of the story, it has been discovered that Lize is a really big deal on the time when civilization is still thriving. She is directly related to the Stellar Sage, which is one of the most busted mages in Gacha Game history ever. This also meant that Lize is very talented when it comes to magic.
So where am I going with this?
It's like this. I wanted to know if I can use Lize's canonical talents, or am I limited to what she can do in game!
So I look around. My ears kept twitching despite me not consciously doing it as I felt the breeze of the air gently brushing against my cheeks and hair. The subtle feeling of my tail touching the blades of grasses around me is making me twitch constantly, and I can't stop it because why I am so sensitive on those parts!?
Anyway, my eyes are strangely sharp. I can see through far distances. Also, it might be a beastman thing, but I have this sense of certainty within me that whatever I am smelling are just dirt, and the raw scent of nature around me. Even my instinct seems to tell me that no one is near my vicinity.
"Hmm... I think there are no people around here. Then maybe I can test my powers then!"
Now that I finally felt like no one is around me, I finally focused my power within me. The game didn't elaborate on how they use their magic, so I will just have to think of what she can do and how she calls her magic.
Specifically, I am going to use her Limit Break. The strongest Limit Break that she has on her six stars version. I am only going to use the basic Lize magic, not the variants and alternate costume versions of her. I have to see if I can use her true power or not.
"Over Fallen Nova!"
I clutched the staff and pointed it to the sky just like how I see her do it in her Limit Break animation.
.... Silence....
"Eh? This is weird... I can't use her ultimate ability? How about her normal Limit Break?"
Characters' Limit Break changes when they reach six stars. On one to five stars, they only used their normal Limit Break, which while good, it didn't have as much flashiness as their six stars version.
"[Fallen Nova]"
Just when I thought of doing that, instinct seems to have override my control as I raised the staff on the skies while feeling a bit of some sort of energy leaving my body and flowing onto my staff.
Three circles full of runic and angular symbols surrounds the blue orb on the middle of my staff's metallic crescent tip. Before a purple beam shoots into the skies where I am pointing it. The skies was then dyed purple, before a huge pillar darkness slams to the ground.
My whole surroundings was quickly surrounded by dust as an intense gust brushes through my body. Though I am somehow unaffected by the shockwave, there are still a lot of smoke that I instinctively covered my eyes with my arms. Feeling some of the dirt and grasses hitting my body due to the impact of my magic.
"This is.... so strong!" I can't help but mutter like that.
I didn't thought it will be this strong! The game only shows her pointing it at the sky, and a large orbital beam covering the enemy's side of the screen. Who would have thought that it will be accompanied by a strong explosion like this!?
My ears are ringing when things are finally done. I don't feel the strong gust of wind anymore, and it took awhile before I noticed that I am actually coughing a lot. The taste of dirt seems to have clung to my lips, and it is not a pleasant experience overall.
".... Oh..."
Right. Oh.... the whole surroundings looks like it has been bombarded by artillery strikes. Nothing remains other than the large hole that is still sizzling for a moment, and the blackened dirt around me with barely anything green on my surroundings. The skies has also became clear now.
".... Uh, I can't use Over Fallen Nova, but this Fallen Nova is just like the one she uses on chapter 11-7 on the story mode!"
Right. Lize is a walking nuke on the lore. Though it might be the creators themselves feeling lazy, they only show her using different variations of Fallen Nova when she is attacking. If she didn't point it on the sky, she is directly pointing it on someone and causing a whole building, or even a region to ceased to exist, or collapse on itself, whatever the creators decided.
She barely uses any spells. If I recall correctly, she have some other spells under her sleeves like that one sleeping spell she uses when she got controlled by one of the antagonist of the story, or the ability to create clones of herself. There is also this feat that she can control monsters, and even manipulate the memories of people.
Though I don't know how I can use it, because it wasn't directly shown on the story. Only offhandedly mentioned, or if it is shown, it's through the visual novel format which is just a text.
And that game barely explains what is happening other than telling that she uses magic, and it's brief effect.
I just barely knew how to use Fallen Nova because she kept using it on both game and the story itself.
Then, is the Lize I am using her story version?
If so, where is the related knowledge for her supposed vast repertoire of magic? I don't know anything at all!
"... Forget it. Now that I confirmed just how strong is my magic, I think it's time to explore the place."
I still have to see if I can use some of her magic. I also felt that mysterious energy within me being sucked when I used Fallen Nova, so maybe I can try and manipulate that mysterious energy while I am looking for any signs of civilization?
It's fun, but I have to look for a place to stay. Lize might be canonically good at living anywhere due to the apocalypse, but for me, I would prefer going on a safe place with a bed and safe shelter. I don't want to sleep on a hard cold ground. That's just uncomfortable! There is also a worry about beasts or other dangerous animals suddenly assaulting me while I sleep!
So I have to find any signs of civilization first before night comes! Good news, I found a sign of civilization. A dirt road!
Bad news, I have been walking straight on this dirt road, following it for some hours now. I can feel my hunger, and while I am strangely not feeling tired physically, my mind is getting bored not seeing anything other than the dirt road and the vast expanse of grasslands around me with the occasional path of trees here or there.
The sky is slowly changing colors into orange, which means evening is closely approaching. If I still didn't see any signs of life at all, then I will feel really depressed. There is also the anxiousness for my safety, because I am definitely not good at being aware of my surroundings even if I am sleeping.
Can I even sleep on a cold hard ground? I might not remember my whole life, but I am definitely sure I don't sleep without at least a futon with me!
As I walk for a moment, I heard the sound of flapping wings. Looking up, I saw a flock of birds, each of them being larger than a human, flying above the skies. My sharp sight enables me to see their exotic brown feathers that has some sort of black and white streaks on it, and their face that looks like a bird mask instead of a bird's face.
I occasionally encounter creatures like that. Not just that, I also encountered one of the common enemies on fantasy games from Gacha Games. The one known as the Horned Rabbits.
These white or brownish rabbits that has spiral horns on their forehead mostly runs away whenever I get closer to them. Not once did they try to attack me, unlike what I am expecting them to do.
I might be force to hunt these rabbits just for my food if I don't see any signs of village or cities anywhere.
I'm feeling more depressed as the sun slowly sets, and I noticed the two moons above rising to replace the falling sun. One of the moon looks like a shaded grey, though the other is greenish in color. It really shows that this world is a fantasy world, if I am still not convinced with my encounters on those flock of giant birds and those horned rabbits.
I was just thinking of giving up and preparing myself to hunt some rabbits when I heard it. The sound of wood running along on the dirt behind me on the far distance. I turned around and peer my eyes on that distance.
With my sharp sight, I immediately saw it clearly. A wagon being pulled by two horses. The one sitting on the front seat is a young man, and there are two girls and one guy sitting on the back. Their coachman seems to wear simple hemp clothes, though the three people are armed.
This is my chance! I can finally get to the city!
"Hey! Over here!"
I waved my arms around, trying to get their attention as they got near me. They seem surprised when they noticed me after awhile. Before they arrived and the coachman stops besides me.
"Sorry for calling out to you! I am lost, and I don't know where I am right now! Are you by chance going to a city or town?"
The man sitting on the back of the wagon looks at me for a moment. He looks strong. Just the muscles alone and that scar running from his left eyebrow up to his cheek makes him look like a veteran warrior.
"A cat ear in this region? You are a long ways away from your land! What'cha doing here lass?" Even the way he talks is a bit crude, but I don't feel any malice in his tone.
A cat ear? So that is what they call people with Lize's features. And thinking about his words, that would mean people with my animal features is rare on this place!
"I told you. I am lost. A lot has happened, and I can't really explain it without me sounding crazy..." I said it honestly. I don't think there is no need for me to make some weird background for myself.
I'll just let them fill in the blanks for me!
"... Oh my..." The brown haired girl wearing leather armor and has a bow around her shoulders gasps as she covered her mouth. The other girl, a blonde haired one, looking at me in pity.
"Yikes. Ya look like y'have it rough, lass!" The man said with a shake of his head. "Then get on! W're just near our stop so it's your lucky day, lass!"
"Thank you very much... uhmm..."
"Call me Garand. I'm the leader of this group!"
"Nice to meet you, Sir Garand. I am Lize. Sorry for not introducing myself first..."
He just shakes his hands at that. "Dont'cha worry! Just get on and let's head to the city!"
Sweet! Now I can finally get to the city!
I quickly go to the back of the wagon and sits besides the girls. The two of them are now gazing at me with some concern or pity.
"Uhmm... what is it?"
"Sorry... this is our first time seeing someone from the Cat Tribe." The blonde woman wearing a clergy's clothing told me before she lowered her head to me in a polite way. "I am Selis. A follower of the Goddess of Light. It is my pleasure to meet you, Miss Lize!"
"And I'm Rinne, Garand's brother! Nice to meet you, Lize!~"
"Likewise." I said.
It seems like the coachman is just someone who they are escorting back to the city, and it seems like we are nearing that place. I'm glad to know that!
I decided to talk to them, and learn more about this place as we slowly get closer to the city they are talking about.
I decided to write this in tandem with the Otherworlder's Skill Grinder.
I hope you have fun with this chapter!~
If you want to support me, you can go to my Kofi account here.
These white or brownish rabbits that has spiral horns on their forehead mostly runs away whenever I get closer to them. Not once did they try to attack me, unlike what I am expecting them to do.
Rabbit: "Oh no. It's her, the cat girl with an orbital cannon. Run for your lives!" Lize: "...Guess it's better this way. I would rather not keep destroying chunks of this world I just arrived to."
Luckily for her, the first people she meets seem to be actually nice. Although those pitiful looks... Did something happen to the Cat Tribe? Lize can truly say she has amnesia, maybe that way she will get some information now.
"Thank you for driving me to this city. I think I can take care of myself here..."
"If your good lass, then we'll leave now. Take care of y'rself!"
"Okay, Sir Garand."
"If you find yourself in any trouble, just look for us at the Honeyworks Tavern!" Rinne followed up as they leave me while waving their hands.
I waved goodbye to the good adventurers that escorted me to the walls of this large city. It is exciting as this is the first time I visited an actual medieval styled city.
The roads are paved in cobblestones, and the houses are either made of some sort of concrete or bricks. I am not that knowledgeable on structures and their histories, so it's not possible for me to compare it to my world's civilization era. The only thing I know is this is pretty medieval-ish. Houses are at most, two stories high and doesn't go above that.
Anyway, thanks to talking to them until we got here, I learned a lot of things.
The name of this city seems to be Hamil. It is one of the larger cities of the Bremen Kingdom. The city seems to have a population that almost exceeds 300,000. I think that's a decent amount of people inside a medieval city, though I'm not an expert so I can't be really sure.
The Bremen Kingdom seems to be dominated by humans. There are only a few people from the other races who lives here. That might be why I am feeling the gazes of the other people from me as I walk on the streets of this city.
As to where I am going? I'm going to a place where I can get money!
That's right, I'm going to the Adventurer's Guild!
Garand and the others seems to be an adventurer group. They work at the Adventurer's Guild of this city. The Adventurer's Guild seems to be a place most people goes to if they want to find work without getting any identification.
I would say that is dangerous because criminals might use it to fake their identities, but it seems like they have some sort of magical tool that can detect whether a person has a criminal record on any cities or not. That sounds extremely convenient.
I do need money to pay the fee for registering as an adventurer, but I think I can sell them something that Lize has.
"Is that it?" I think I found the place they told me.
They said it is a large building that looks like a mansion or a warehouse. It has a large door that many people can enter and exit with, and it is always open from morning and will be closed after the evening passes.
I am seeing a large mansion-like structure made of wood and concrete. Or maybe it is clay? I don't know, but it looks well made with a good foundation in it!
There is a wooden plaque sign hanging on the top right corner of the door showing the symbol of two swords intertwining with a shield. I think that might be the Adventurer's Guild then!
Walking inside, I felt the others gazing at me. Some of them even looking me up and down. That felt a bit creepy, so I decided to walk quickly until I get to the counter. There are three beautiful ladies manning the wooden counter further on this first room, and I choose the one that is free.
"Ah.... this is a first time I saw a Cat Eared Beastman visiting this city. What can I do for you?" The short haired blonde girl who is slightly shorter than me asks me.
"Hello. I'm Lize, and I wanted to register as an adventurer!"
"You have to pay the fee first before you can register. The fee is 15 silver coins."
The system prompt implied it when I was still stuck in that darkness, but it seems like they are really using silver and gold coins as their currency.
"Mmm... sorry, I don't have any money with me right now. Can I just sell something and use it as replacement for the fee?"
The receptionist's eyes widened for a moment, before she gave me a strained smile. "You didn't have to Miss Lize. We can register you as an adventurer, but the payment for the requests you completed will be taken by the guild until you paid the required fee for registering. Will that be alright?"
Oh, so I don't have to sell Lize's staff. That sounds great!
"Let's do that then!"
With that, she gave me a paper that I should fill up. The form only asks for my name, age, race, and then what I can do. I wrote my name as Lize, and uses her canonical age when the story starts which is 21. Race is a Demihuman Cat. Then I just simply wrote Mage in the form that asks me what I can do. There is also the part about my birthplace and the name of my parents, though it is optional so I simply ignored it.
"Okay, so your name is Lize. Age is 21. Your race is a... Demihuman Cat?" She seems confused about that, but still continues. "And you claim to be a mage. I saw that you have a staff, though can you clarify what kind of magic you can do?"
Yeah. Just writing Mage won't give me a leeway!
I don't know what kind of magic this world has. I'll just think of something....
"Uh... is dark magic good or was it a bad thing?"
"Oh, so you wield the dark element? Yes, it is fine! There is nothing wrong with bearing that element!"
"I see. Then yes, I can use dark magic." I simply said.
I think that's not really Lize's magic, but the game didn't elaborate what kind of magic she is using. Lize always calls it magic, or offensive spells, but the game didn't say anything about it. Even the wikis didn't tell me anything about Lize's magic.
She nodded at me and wrote something from the form I filled up awhile ago before telling me to wait for a moment. She took something from the counter, and then finally revealed it to he some sort of mechanism with a large crystal orb in the middle of it.
"First, please touch it before we can proceed."
I am sure nothing bad would happen if it was part of the procedure to become an adventurer, so I did as she told and touch it. The orb glows for a moment with a gentle light and when the receptionist told me that I can stop holding it, I did so and she takes it before smiling at me.
"It's all good. Finally, please put a drop of your blood on this card here." She said before sliding a metallic looking card with a silver-ish sheen on it.
I took the needle that she offered me, and decided to do it. It wasn't really that scary, even with the feeling of a slight prickling pain I felt on my index finger as I use the tip of the needle on it. Then I let a drop of my blood hit the card.
Something magical happens as the blank metallic card changes. There are now some texts and my own image in it.
"Congratulations on becoming a part of the Adventurer's Guild. I hope you have a great journey ahead of you!" She told me with a bow of her head.
After that she told me that I can ask her, or I can go to the guild archives which is just beyond the door besides the counter. I decided to take her up on that offer and go inside the guild archives after thanking her.
So why did I become an adventurer anyway? Well it is simple really.... I want to use the Gacha!
Garand says that so long as you are competent in combat, anyone can become rich by becoming an adventurer. Lize is strong on the lore, so I think I can easily get that 100 Gold to make a spin!
That's what I wanted. If I can make some money as quickly as possible, then I can roll as much as I can. That's the only thing I wanted to do!
I didn't want to ask the receptionist about the general knowledge of this world because I don't want the others to look at me weirdly. It's really a great thing that she offered for me to read some info on the guild archives.
I can understand their written language as proven when I was filling up the form for registering as an adventurer. So I think I can also read the books within their archives!
I have to learn everything first before I started my adventuring career! That evening, in a tavern mostly frequented by adventurers, a group of one man with a long scar on his face, and two slender girls are drinking together in a stupor.
"Ah! That boy is very generous! I'm really glad I took this escort request!" Garand exclaimed as he drinks another mug of ale without any hesitation.
"Hey big bro! Stop it! It will be hard to wake you up again tomorrow if you continue drinking that much!"
"Shut up! Its rare for us to drink this much.... lemme have this for today!"
The woman clad in a clergy's outfit shook her head while looking at them in amusement.
"Oh right... about that girl..." Rinne, the little sister of the man who continues drinking more suddenly speaks as she turned to Selis. "I can't believe that a nobility from the Cat Eared Tribe will find themselves in this land! It's my first time seeing a full-blooded beastman!"
Selis simply sighs. "Right... she must have a rough experience before she got to this place."
"Tsk! Those buncha slavers! They're scums to the highest degree! I woulda cut off their heads an' hang them on the city walls!" Garand suddenly exclaimed as he leaned closer to them.
"Keep your face away! Your breathe stinks!" Rinne immediately pushes his cheek as she says that, while her face scrunching up in disgust.
"I am sure the Goddess Lumine won't condone that action. The deeds of those from Cantor has been too grievous for the heavens to forgive! I believe their deaths won't be a sin in the eyes of the almighty!" Selis said in a solemn tone as she clasped her hands together.
"... Still, I thought the Cat Eared Beastmen were being sheltered by the Beast King. Is something happening on the Beast Kingdom?" Rinne wondered outloud as she puts her cheeks on her hand with her elbow on the table, while her other hand grasps the mug of ale that she has and stirs it for a bit.
Garand rubs his cheeks for a moment, before taking another swig of his mug and then slamming it on the table. Much to the surprise of his sister who flinches.
"That lass' planning to become an adventurer, yeah?"
"Mhm... she said that after asking us what's the fastest way to get money in this place. I'm sure she is not looking to go to banditry. She doesn't look like the kind of person who would go low like that!"
"Do ya think she planning to...?"
"Of course she is!" Rinne immediately interrupted her brother. "The Cat Eared Tribe has been razed to the ground. The way to the Beast Kingdom from this land is separated by two human supremacist nations like the Cantor Empire. There is no way she is not planning on settling down on this city!"
"Yah, makes sense." Garand nodded at that.
"A shame. We can't help her right now as we are still in the middle of an escort mission. I hope the Goddess Lumine protects the poor cat eared beastman in this land." Selis once more clasped her hands together as she muttered that in a solemn tone.
"I hope so too...." Rinne said before quickly turning to her brother. "Right! That explosion really startled me when that happens. I thought an ancient dragon is fighting against a demon lord!" Rinne changes the topic once more.
"Oh... that pillar of light we encountered this morning?" With Rinne's nod at Garand's question, he continues. "Right. Can't believe we'll see something like that!"
"I know right! I wonder what happened there... when we got there, it looks like the land itself has been scorched!"
"We must be thankful for the Goddess Lumine that we haven't encountered them! It is certain that we will cease to exist if the one responsible for that pillar of light is a malicious being!"
"Oh... stop putting your own religion in our talks! Here, drink more Sister Selis!"
Rinne grumbled as she put her own mug to the mouth of the priestess who gasps in surprised, before sputtering at being forced to drink the ale. Garand just laugh at the face Selis is making as she held the mug and tries to stop Rinne from leaning it much more.
"Heh... That lass' gonna be fine! She can't get to this place if she's weak!" He simply muttered under his breathe before raising his hand as a waitress walks near him. "Hey! Another set of ale here!" He called out.
And so the three talks of another topic once more as they are drinking and having merry with each other. In the Adventurer's Guild, on the Guild Master's office.
"So... where is the Cat Eared Beastman?" An old man asks.
"S-she is still staying at the guild archives and busily reading our books, Guild Master." The girl, the blonde receptionist that Lize talked to awhile ago replied to the old man.
He sagely nodded at that. "It seems like she is planning on settling down to this city. A Cat Eared Nobility who has a talent for dark magic.... this is a good thing." He nodded. "Are you sure she has a tail when you saw her?"
"Yes. Along with the typical cat ears that a cat eared beastman has, she also has the tail of a cat. It looks like it has been groomed carefully. Her outfit also... it looks fancy..."
"I see. Then make sure not to antagonize her. The Cat Eared Tribe has been endangered since the war between Cantor Empire and the Beast Kingdom occurs. We can't afford to lose one of the Cat Eared Tribe, or it might become a political issue if that happens!"
"Understood. Then we will try and make sure she only gets safer jobs!"
The guild master nodded, and after that he dismissed her from his office.
I am in the mood to continue this story for now, so I will be updating this. I will go back to Yumeko's story if I am in the mood again... sorry....

So she didn't go with "I have amnesia"... Makes sense, avoiding some risks that way (including too much exposition right at the start). People are already staring because Lize is a catperson, so she doesn't want to attract even more attention.
Now I'm wondering if this world has a history of outworlders suddenly appearing without prior memories. Is she the only one of her kind? Would people recognize her as a figure of hope, or dread? I guess we will find out.
...Yes, selling your main (and only?) weapon does not sound like a good idea.
Nice to see the receptionist helping Lize, instead of making things harder for her. Actually, it's quite refreshing that the MC starts somewhere with good people instead of a bunch of assholes making life miserable. *cough cough* Konosuba *cough cough* Shield Hero
The guild is going to close soon, and it seems like there is a room in the guild that members of the Adventurer's Guild can use to stay the night. It can only be used by the adventurers who didn't have any place to stay with.
I just learned about that when the receptionist told me that the guild is going to close soon. I decided to stay there for now.
The room is pretty wide, and there are long wooden stools and some patches of leather that the people are using as a sheet to either cover their body, or laid on the floor to sleep better.
There are some adventurers there, most of them look more younger than me. It seems like those who are friends or are in a group are occupying their preferred corners. Each individuals or groups are separated half a meter or so away. There is corner in the room that isn't occupied so I took one sheet of leather bundled on the side and go to that corner. Laying the leather flat on the wooden floors before lying on it.
".... This is uncomfortable..." I can't help but whisper that to myself.
I almost tried to stand up when I felt a strong shock on my bottom. I quickly realized that it was my tail, and I squeezed it with my weight unintentionally.
"... How does Lize sleep with a tail like this?"
I tried turning to my side, and it makes it more bearable now. Though I felt a bit uncomfortable at this position. I think I prefer sleeping on my back on the sheets, rather than doing it on my side.
Well, I'll just have to make myself used to it. For now, I have to process what I learned from the Guild Archives. Like the common knowledge itself.
The name of this continent is Veltria. There are many nations in this continent, and the Bremer Kingdom which is where I am currently located is one of the superpowers in this continent. This kingdom is located south of this continent, in it's landlocked region.
The neighboring countries are the Cantor Empire to the north, the Drychie Kingdom to the south, and the Ludville Union on the west. The eastern side is an unclaimed and undeveloped land that is only called as the Grand Forest of Elysia. It is rumored that the Elven Kingdom is located deep within it.
Drychie is the southernmost kingdom with access to the ocean. So that kingdom is known for their naval and sea vessels. They are also known to be specialized in dealing with seafood.
The Ludville Union seems to be a mercantile state. Home to a lot of merchants, and almost everything can be traded there, including slaves.
It is interesting, but the Cantor Empire on the north intrigues me. Just reading the brief facts about that nation immediately gave me a reason not to visit that country.
As to why I am intrigue at that nation? It's because the Beast Kingdom is located just above the Cantor Empire and the Holy Principality of Ylisse!
The Beast Kingdom is said to be the home of the Beastmen Tribes. It seems like unlike human nations, the Beastman Tribes subscribes to the might makes right mentality. It is why those who are strong are well-respected on that nation.
I'm just curious how I can get to that place. I'd like to see that nation at least once, and see their reactions when they see me. I haven't seen any Demihumans on this place when I got to this city, so I am really curious.
Both the Cantor Empire, and the Holy Principality blocks my path to the Beast Kingdom. Based on the books I read, there are no other way to the Beast Kingdom other than using the path to those human supremacist nations. If I want to find another route, then I will have to do it at my own risk as most paths that I need to get there will be on unexplored areas. Which meant I have to fight a lot of monsters if I'm going to avoid those nations.
Reading those makes me understand why Garand and the others are surprised to see me. It's literally impossible for a beastman to get to this part without encountering anyone from those nations. Both Ylisse and Cantor saw Beastmen as inferiors, and seems to consider them as less than animals. Or so what the archives about them says.
As I have no other source of information, I have to believe in that.
I learned a lot more other than that, like the Beastmen only gets the ears of the animals they represent when they were born, and that having the tail symbolizes that they're beastly blood are purer than the average Beastmen, and Beastmen greatly respects those whose appearance are closer to a beast than a human.
I learned some interesting facts about Beastmen too, like the general disposition of the Cat Eared Tribe is being lazy, but are extremely sought after by the Beastmen Royalty as court ladies due to their natural beauty. It's the same beauty as those from the Rabbit Eared Tribe, Fox Eared Tribe, and the Winged Tribe.
I wonder how they will rate Lize's beauty compared to the average Cat Eared Tribe. For me Lize is pretty cute, though I haven't seen her real appearance as I don't have a mirror yet. I can only imagine the game portrait of her.
I'm pretty confident that Lize is cuter than the others. They are my favorite characters, so I might be a bit biased here.
Anyway, going back on the topic about me learning a lot of things. I also made sure to read about the general knowledge about this world. Like how people universally uses copper, silver, gold, and platinum coins as their currency. Any civilization uses it. They call it as the Universal Currency, and it seems like the God of Commerce and his churches oversees the distribution of these currency.
There is also the fact that elves rarely leaves their nation, so it can be considered a blessing if people encounters an elf. Dwarves are surprisingly solitary, though not as much as the elves. Unlike elves who seems to have some sort of hatred to any races other than themselves, dwarves welcomed those who comes on their abode which is mostly under a mountain.
I took note of those knowledge as I might need it when I get my new avatar.
Talking about my avatar, it seems like this body doesn't move without my prompting. There is no disembodied thoughts of Lize telling me what to do, or any foreign thoughts that indicates Lize's consciousness is active within me. It's just me inside her body, doing whatever I want without her memories in it.
It also made me aware of how I am not really attached to this body, but is just connected to it. Like the feeling of my finger being connected to my hand. It's that kind of mental feeling.
I wonder, what if I reduce my connection to Lize's body?
No, not really eternal darkness as I can still see the guild, and Lize's body whose eyes is close now and clutching her staff.
Uh.... it seems like I now have a third person view of Lize. The one I am using to interact with this other world.
So this is what happens when I reduced the feeling of connection I have with my Avatar. It seems like they fall asleep. Or maybe this is what happens when I sleep with my avatars?
I tried to strengthen the connection I have with Lize's body, and as I strengthen it more I can feel the lethargic feeling of my body, and the sensations that I might have felt if I am now sleeping as her.
And then a prompt suddenly occurs, which I simply dismissed. It seems like strengthening the connection I have from my avatar will cause that body to awaken. I think I have to let Lize's body sleep first while I am thinking about what to do next.
I am still incredibly curious about my powers so I wanted to look into it first.
.... Still, I am really surprised. I honestly don't know how to feel about the fact that I only seem to control Lize's body. I don't have any body it seems, or maybe I have a body but I'm just existing on some sort of place that is naturally this dark?
I don't know. I don't feel anything that can be considered my limb. Only my thoughts and my emotions are pronounced without the feeling of my physical body. It is weird not even hearing my own breathing.
Anyway, I decided to open my Gacha list by thinking about it. Then look at the available options I have in it.
I wonder why there is a Character Gacha, and why it is separated on the Common, Premium, and Supreme Gacha. I am dreading the answer to that as I look at the list of what I can get from those three Gacha.
.... Oh no.... the dreadful feeling within my heart has come true. Now I know why Character Gacha is separated from them.
Unlike the Character Gacha which is only limited to the characters from every Gacha Game I know of, the three earlier gacha options seems to include every items and other random stuffs that you can get from all of those Gacha Games!
The only difference between these three options is about the chances of whether you can get a decent one or a common one. All of the objects you can get in these Gacha seems to have been categorized by their star rating. All of them. Even those which is supposed to be using other grading systems for their items.
My powers seems to have categorized everything in the Gacha in a singular manner. Everything seems to be using Star ratings.
This is still not good though, because the fact that every thing you can get from every Gacha Game has been merged into each of these options makes it impossible to get what I truly want. If merging all the Gacha Games I know will give a total of thousands of results for the characters alone, then including everything like items will put my chance of getting what I want a one in a million!
That means Character Gacha is much more preferable, than these three other options. Because what I like are getting characters rather than getting items that I really didn't care about.
It would be bearable if I get something useful like a high class weapon or armor, but if I get something trash like say that one garbage item called Scrap Metal or Burnt Wooden Chips, then I will be really mad.
And looking at the list of items I can get from these Gacha, there are a lot of garbage items rather than the good enough items like the Iron Sword or the Health Potion. There are a lot of trashy 1★ items like Broken Skull, String, Bottle of Water, Crumpled Paper, Rotten Meat, Burnt Bread, Smelly Boots, etc.
What would I do with those!? Will that help me in my life here! Am I going to spend a hundred gold coins for a single chance of getting something from the Common Gacha?
The Universal Currency in this world is pretty steep. A single silver coin is equivalent to a hundred copper coins. This is also the case for a single gold coin compared to a silver coin. The money denomination of the coins here are by 100. Which meant if I need to spin at least once, then I will need a large amount of money.
I read the books, and I know that a single gold coin is impossible to get unless you somehow got lucky.
.... If I am planning to spin on the Common Gacha, then I have to do some dangerous quests that will pay me handsomely. Then I have to pray that I somehow got something decent instead of those trashy items that litters the list of items I can get.
.... Right. I have to find a way how I can get tickets. It is impossible to accumulate a lot of money for a short time. I need something more profitable.
With that in mind, I spent my whole time contemplating about things while letting my avatar to sleep comfortably.
I once more felt myself breathing as I opened my eyelids. I felt strangely refreshed as I stood up. Not once do I feel sore despite having slept on a fairly hard floor and leather.
After my long contemplation last night with my true body, I made some plans to myself. It's a simple plan. I just have to find a way to get tickets so I can spin the Gacha frequently.
That's a more viable way than accumulating a hundred gold for a single spin.
With that plan in mind, I decided to go to the reception area once more. There are a lot of adventurers already crowding the area. Their gaze is going to my figure once more, though I ignored them as I lined up to the counter where I registered yesterday.
It only takes a few minutes before it is my turn. The same girl that lets me register perks up and smiled at me as she greeted me.
"What can I do for you, Miss Lize?"
"I am looking for work. Do you have any recommendations that will quickly give me a lot of money on my current rank?"
"Of course... here are my recommendations!"
That was strangely quick.... has she been waiting for me to ask that?
She presented me four requests. All of them are appropriate for my rank.
So I read it on the guild manual at the guild archives, and it seems like newbie adventurers are not recommended to go outside and fight monsters. To make sure that they won't just jump into danger, the Adventurer's Guild has made a rule that forces an adventurer to only accept quests that is equal or lower to their rank for their own safety.
Which meant lower rank adventurers who decided to be stubborn and hunt monsters without accepting the request for it won't really get paid. They will also have to find a shop where they can sell the loot for those monsters without the help from the guild. It is a way to persuade these adventurers to go through the proper procedures.
This system has also been implemented to prevent suspicious people who somehow bypasses their security when registering adventurers. For a Copper Rank adventurer like me, I have to be a member for a whole month who has done ten requests in total before the guild approves of my ranking up. Rank up seems to be automatic. It will be immediately reflected on the identification card I have when I got the requirements for ranking up.
Ranking up really takes time. There is no shortcutting it, unless you somehow did a really incredible feat like say killing a dragon.
Anyway, about the job recommendations that the receptionist gave me, all of them includes doing simple chores on someone's house. Like cleaning an attic, being a part-time waitress, finding someone's lost pet, or doing community services. There are no quests that gives me an option to go outside the city.
".... How about collecting herbs?" I ask, and I noticed the receptionist's smile straining.
"I really recommend starting on doing these jobs and make yourselves used to working with people. Going outside is pretty dangerous without someone along with you!" The receptionist told me.
"Hmm.... but, I think gathering herbs is a lot more profitable than these..."
The one with the highest pay, becoming a part-time waitress, only pays 5 silver coins per shift. I think harvesting herbs is much more profitable than just serving customers on some tavern!
"I am sorry to disappoint you, but gathering herbs are not that profitable. Each stalks of the herbs used for potions and antidotes only gives 10 to 20 copper coins. You also need to be careful when harvesting them, because even one mistake will reduce their quality, and that will reflect on their overall price if you submitted it to us. It's much worse if you try to sell it on the apothecary, because they are more strict at the quality of their herbs! There is also the fact that finding herbs itself are very difficult. It is hard to distinguish between a normal grass and a medicinal one! Furthermore---"
The more I hear the receptionist lecture me about facts on gathering herbs, the more I am realizing the fact that it is actually unprofitable if I think about it.
Like, I don't know how to harvest a herb. I also don't know how to differentiate between the common plants and those important medicinal herbs!
And 10 to 20 copper coins per stalk? If it is so hard to find them, and that is the only pay I can get even at it's best quality, then I might as well find another job!
"Then.... how about hunting monsters...?" I was hoping that some miracle occurs and they have a monster extermination request that is available for Copper Ranks.
"I apologize, but those are only available for Bronze Rank adventurers and above..." She bowed to me after saying that.
Kuh....! It seems like I don't have any choice in the matter then!
"... Fine, then this one please...."
And so, I decided to become a part-time waitress on some tavern. Much to my chagrin.
This chapter should have been finish twelve hours ago, but I suddenly fell asleep while writing this, and I got incredibly busy just after I woke up....
Ugh.... well, I have some free time now so I hope I can churn out another chapter after this....
If you want to support me, you can go to my Kofi account here.
So if the rules (according to the last chapter) are the same for everyone, the Guild will surely not make an exception for Lize; not right at the start, at least.
Guild: "This Cat Noblewoman deserves respect and protection. No dangerous jobs for her!"
Lize: "No dangerous jobs? No money, no Gacha! Come on, at least give me a quest to kill rats in a basement or something."
Now we'll have to see how difficult (or not?) is getting tickets, to spin the Character Gacha... Perhaps Lize has to complete quests (even easy ones) to get them?
The waitress job is a start. Besides, maybe she will be a lucky catperson and meet Garand's party again.
Martha, the owner of this tavern, gushes as she looks at me in my new outfit. The outfit she gave me is a white barmaid's dress with a leather corset and a long dirty brown skirt. My shoulder length hair has been tied into ponytail so it doesn't get in the way of my work.
The tavern I am working for seems to be called the Angel's Grace. This tavern seems to be fairly successful, though not as successful as the Honeyworks Tavern. Due to this success, they always need more staff to work for them. That is what the guild receptionist told me anyway.
"I can't believe a Cat Eared Beastman will be working for my tavern! How about it? Do you want to work here permanently?"
"I'm sorry, but I have to decline."
"Hmm... a shame. But still, I'm glad to be working with you. Hope you don't find it hard here." Martha said, before she continues by explaining about the operation of this tavern.
So as a barmaid, it seems like my only job is to take orders and carry those orders to our customers. The owner and her family are the one taking care of cooking for the others.
As she is explaining about the other details of my work, I can feel the gaze of the other barmaids to my side. These barmaids are more younger than me. The only one who looks older than me seems to be working here for a long time now.
These girls might be adventurers too. It is a bit surprising to me because even if I can't remember anything in my past life, I think letting a child at the age of twelve work is just horrible. Though the minimum age requirement to join the Adventurer's Guild is twelve. I wonder what are they thinking about making that kind of rule?
"Do you have any question, Lize?"
"No. I think I can start right now, Mrs. Martha."
"Great. So can you please help the others at wiping the table and mopping the floors?"
Before I could answer her, I heard a loud grumbling sound below me. Immediately I realized what it was....
"Uh.... sorry, I haven't eaten anything yet since yesterday..."
This is very embarrassing! The owner is generous enough to serve me a breakfast before I can start working. It is just two pieces of loaves, and a glass of milk that seems to have been freshly milked from their cows on their barnyard.
The loaves of bread in this place are pretty large. It's size is the same as my forearm. So this breakfast is filling enough that I felt energetic after eating it.
After that I started working on the tavern.
The work is easy enough, and it is very surprising to me because I was expecting the customers, mostly the male patrons, are going to be looking at me with lecherous gazes or something. Instead, almost everyone are very polite, and some seems even respectful when I ask for their orders.
Other than that, the young female adventurers who are working along with me are more talkative. It might be because they are extremely curious at me that they kept asking my questions that is hard to answer. Questions like these ones....
"Are you from the Cat Eared Tribe?"
"Are you nobility?"
"How is it like to live in the Beast Kingdom?"
"How did you get to Hamil City?"
"Is there a way to get to the Beast Kingdom without encountering any Cantorians and Ylissemen?"
I answered them as vaguely as possible, like telling them that life there is normal and nothing really interesting is in there, or that I am formerly a nobility but they should consider me a part of the common folk now as I have already lost my right for it.
It is partially right. Lize is formerly a royal magician on her kingdom before it fell during the dawn of post-civilization.
All of them are satisfied, and it seems like some of the customers are listening. I honestly don't care. So long as they are satisfied, and they have a positive impression of Lize, then I will be happy!
Thanks to the girls always chatting with me, and the customers being polite, I passed the day until my shift ends.
"Thank you for working with us. Here is my approval!" Martha gave me the request parchment from the Adventurer's Guild. It now has a stamp of three stars in it.
"Thank you so much. I will be going now then!~"
"I hope you come and work with us again!~"
With that, I waved goodbye at the owner as I left the tavern. It is already evening so I quickly move through the streets dimly lit up by the magical lamps hanging on the wooden posts on the side of the paved roads.
"... Surprisingly, I am still not tired. Maybe because Lize is used to moving around a lot?"
Right, I have plenty of energy left to sprint and get to the Adventurer's Guild as soon as possible. Of course I am not in a hurry so I took a leisurely walk while looking at the place for a moment.
The few remaining people walking on the streets also seems to notice me as they glance at me or stare at me for a moment. Walking like this and interacting with people just shows me that there aren't really any Demihumans... or Beastmen in this world, who are living in this city.
That means I am the odd one. That might be why they are always glancing at me?
As I got to the Adventurer's Guild, I saw that the doors are closed. Though there are still some adventurers within who are submitting their quest it seems.
"Oh, Lize! Are you done with your request?" The blonde receptionist whom registered me greeted me on the counter.
"Yes." Her line is empty, so I go there and laid the stamped request on the counter.
She took it and look at it for a moment before giving me a bright smile.
"Amazing! You got a perfect grade for your first request!" She seems more happier at that fact than me. "This is a good thing. If you continue this up, in just a month you will be promoted to the Bronze Rank! Please keep up the good work!~"
"Of course." She is writing behind the counter for a moment as she talks to me.
"Okay, I have recorded it. If you accumulate a lot of perfect grades for our clients, you might get some personal commissions in the future!"
"Is that so? Then I have to do my best then!"
Personal commissions are requests by name from the clients. It is when the clients actually likes a particular adventurer or an adventurer group that they will request for them directly on the Adventurer's Guild. The fee on requesting for particular adventurers seems to be higher than just posting a request normally.
If I get personal commissions, then I can quickly become rich! If I become richer, then that means I can roll the Gacha as soon as possible!
Quest completion confirmed. You got the following rewards!
I was shocked when I saw that prompt. I might have gasped outloud as the blonde receptionist looks at me in confusion.
Short chapter for now....
By the way, the protagonist will usually refer to Lize as if she is a separate person to them because they don't really think they are Lize. They think they are just controlling her body.
The protagonist likes the character, so they are happy when others have a positive opinion of Lize because she is one of their favorite characters. That's why you will occasionally see them always preferring others if they praise them, because they consider the praise is directed on the avatar they are using and not them specifically.
I hope you have fun with this chapter too!~
If you want to support me, you can go to my Kofi account here.
I notice you have a tendency to use the little wavy ~ in your dialogue to convey a lilting voice. This is a stylistic choice that normally I wouldn't mind too much. However, you're using it quite a bit. Overusing it, really. You're also overusing exclamation points. My advice is to keep an eye on your usage of both while you're writing, and even consider checking with ctrl f to see how many you have in a given chapter while editing, and trimming a few.
The scene where the protagonist looks at Lize in third person view kinda makes it seem that they'll be able to control multiple Characters in the future.
The other comment I have about this story so far is predicated on an assumption, but I think it's a fair assumption based on the most recent chapter and your other work.
I think the rewards you had the system give out are way too high. Sure, you could justify it by it being a tutorial, but that still poses a serious problem. Namely, this enables the MC to roll again and gain another character immediately, or even multiple. Why is this a problem? Because it's too soon!
MC has used their current avatar's magic exactly once. Once! And that wasn't even in a fight! This element of the story has barely been touched on, and yet a bunch more are being introduced? This is not only unnecessary, but leads to reader dissatisfaction because the author has set up something then immediately gone off and started doing something else. I tried to read your other original story, (the skill one,) and I noticed a very similar problem. You're giving your protagonist new abilities too quickly, not letting the reader get a grasp of the ones they have and how they can be used. And even if they can keep up, going this quickly means most of the story has to be dedicated to explaining new characters, figuring out how they work, and doing a few things as them, as opposed to actually exploring existing plot elements. If I were you, I'd wait until after chapter ten at the absolute earliest before introducing another avatar, and that's really pushing it.
I think the rewards you had the system give out are way too high. Sure, you could justify it by it being a tutorial, but that still poses a serious problem. Namely, this enables the MC to roll again and gain another character immediately, or even multiple. Why is this a problem? Because it's too soon!
The Silver Ticket can only be used on Common Gacha. The chance to get a character on that Gacha is extremely low, so the worry that the protagonist will just get a new avatar quickly won't happen.
After somehow managing to talk and fool the receptionist about the sudden influx of money that I got and paying the remaining amount of money I owe them, I go back to the public resting room so I can get some sleep before I put Lize into sleep mode.
Now I'm within this space of eternal darkness without any physical body. I dubbed this place as my Personal Space.
So let's see.... after I got that prompt, a weight settled within on my pocket which I took out to find out that it was those gold coins I got from my quest rewards. The receptionist got surprised in there, so I somehow managed to get away by telling that I have no idea it was in my pocket.
Anyway, about the other reward. I just got a Silver Ticket. The Silver Ticket can be used to roll for the Common Gacha for free.
Though can I do that right now? If whatever I got suddenly appeared on that room, the people who are sleeping along with me might suddenly find it suspicious!
.... Right, I think I should do that after I got a place I can stay. It's already evening and most establishments are close so I will have to find one tomorrow.
Now, going back on topic. Doing some quests seems to give me a reward. My powers can register whether I completed a quest or not.
I don't really know if this is a one time thing, or every request can give me rewards. I have to test that tomorrow!
There are no quest that involves going outside the walls of this city, which means I have to find some easy-to-do quests. Working as a waitress might have decent pay, but if completing quest itself will give me a lot of money and the important tickets to roll for Gacha, then even the most unprofitable quest is fine by me so long as it can be done quickly!
That's right! I don't care about going outside this city anymore! I just have to find easy quests within the walls of this city!
With that decided, I immediately planned out what I will choose tomorrow while letting my Lize avatar to sleep peacefully.
After waking up with a refreshed feeling, I immediately go to the counter where the blonde receptionist is located.
"Good morning Lize! Are you looking to do a quest?"
"Yes. Please recommend any quest that are easy to do!"
She stares at me for a moment, before quickly returning to her professional smile. "Of course, please give me a moment."
And so she crouched down behind the counter. I can hear the sound of drawers being opened and the sound of papers being moved and laid on another stack, before she came back with some requests on her hand.
"These are all the quest that can be done quickly." She said before frowning. "But are you sure you want to do this? It isn't profitable to do these requests?"
I look at the request she laid before me. As she said, most of these quests are not profitable. Looking for lost pets, taking out the trashes, delivering mails, helping with moving stuffs, and the likes.
Their payments are only 50 to 70 coppers. Doing it for so little. I can see why these are unprofitable.
Though, these quests can be done faster than working as a part-time waitress on that tavern. So I will take all these quests then!
"Yes. All of these are fine. I'll take it all."
I heard the sound of her breathe hitching and I look up to see her staring at me with her eyes wide. Then she shook her head and smiled at me once more.
"Okay. Please wait for a moment!"
With that, she quickly wrote something behind before handing all of the quests I accepted from her, and a paper that directs me where each of these quests are located.
Oh right... I almost forgot...
"Before I leave, do you have any place you can recommend that I can stay?"
"Of course. Honeyworks Tavern is one of the most trusted tavern in this city. Staying there is affordable even to low income adventurers, and the food there are decent!"
"I see. Then can you please tell me where is it?"
Honeyworks Tavern... isn't that where Garand and the others are staying?
I waited for the receptionist to give me the address before I finally left the guild. My next destination is that tavern. "So this is the Honeyworks Tavern."
It's a lot bigger than the Adventurer's Guild. Unlike the Adventurer's Guild, this place seems to be made of good quality wood and stone. The triangular roof above the second floor seems to be made of clay.
Inside is a large room full of tables. The scent of alcohol somewhat diminishes the homey atmosphere it has as I heard some of the people chattering, and other seems to be drinking despite it being morning.
I saw a child who perks up as she notices me, and then she trotted closer to me with a large smile on her face. "Welcome to Honeyworks Tavern, Big Cat Sister. Are you going to stay here?" She asks with a lovable smile on her face.
I can't help but also smile at her. "Yes. Is there any free rooms?"
She smiled brightly before turning and calling out to someone. "Mommy! A Big Kitty Sister is going to stay at our tavern!~"
I look on that side and saw someone from the counter emerging from it.
"I told you to stop calling people like that. It sounds so rude to them..." She froze for a moment when her eyes met mine, before she gasps. "Oh my! This is my first time seeing a Cat Eared Person visiting my tavern." Then she gets closer to me before bowing. "Hello, welcome to the Honeyworks Tavern. What can I do for you?"
"I'm here to stay. The Adventurer's Guild recommended this tavern to me."
She looks happy at that. "I see. So that means you are an adventurer miss....?"
"I'm Lize. It's nice to meet you." I bowed for her for a moment.
"Oh no, you don't need to be polite." She simply waves her hand at that before continuing. "I'm one of the owners of this tavern. My name is Sally. This one is my daughter, Cocoa. Say hello to our guest!"
"Hello, I'm Cocoa!~ Nice to meet you Big Cat Sister!~"
Sally's lips quivered for a moment as her brows furrowed before she steps forward, and move the girl behind her. "Sorry about that, she always likes to call everyone with a nickname. I hope you are not offended."
"Of course not. I'm fine with being called casually." So long as there is no malicious intent behind those words, I am fine with it.
"Thank you." She seems relieved at that. I wonder why? "Anyway, you wanted to stay here, right?" With my nod she continues. "Staying for the night costs 10 copper coins. You can add five copper coins if you want to be served lunch and dinner. What do you think?"
"Then, I would like to stay here with the food included. How much can I stay with this much?" I take one of the gold coins from my pocket and presented it to her.
Her eyes widened for a moment at that, before she seems to look at me with a strained smile.
"T-that was a large amount of money... please give me a moment." She quickly goes somewhere on the counter, and take something behind it.
While I was waiting, I took a sit on the nearby empty chair while I can feel the gaze of the child. I looked at her for a moment, and smiled at her curious stare. She also smiled back before we return to silence.
After awhile, her mother comes back with a paper. Written on it seems to be a simple calculation for my question awhile ago.
"This amount will let you stay for more than two months. Would you like to do that?"
"Of course." I'll be stuck as a copper rank adventurer for a month before I can be promoted to the next rank, so I think staying here for two months is just right.
"Then, I will put this on the record. I hope you enjoy your stay here!"
"Great.... by the way..." I just remembered something. "Is a group of one guy and two women stayed here? I think the guy has a scar on his face, and they are a party of adventurers...."
"Do you mean Garand and his party members?"
"Yes!" So he really is here.
Or, he was here as I realized when she speaks. "They already left to continue their escort quest. I think they are going to the Hendrick Town. Do you know them?" She looks at me with curiosity.
"Yes, they found me in the middle of the road when I was lost and escorted me to this city. I'm just hoping we can talk for a bit. It's not really that important..."
"I see... don't worry. I think they will be back here after their quest. Hendrick Town is just two days away from this city, so it might take less than a week before they go back."
"Thank you for that info." The people here are really helpful when I ask questions. I like this city. "Then... can I eat now? I haven't eaten anything yet..."
"Of course! It's only bread and milk... I hope you are fine with that?"
With my nod, the owner of this place smiled before turning to her daughter.
"Okay, stop standing there and help me up."
"Okay!~" Cocoa said playfully before glancing at me. "Let's talk later, Big Kitty Sister!"
.... She kept changing from Cat to Kitty whenever she refers to me, huh... well, she is a child so whatever...
With that, I spent my time eating breakfast on this tavern while ignoring the curious gaze of the few patrons who are eating on this tavern. The milk on this place is tastier than the one on the Angel's Grace Tavern. That is surprising to me. The very first quest I tried doing is the one requesting for trash disposal. The address is pretty near on the Honeyworks Tavern, so I simply get there after asking about it on the few people around.
When I got there, I found out that the one asking for it is an old man who can't move as much. He needed others to help him with the heavier work like carrying the trashes to the trash disposal area.
Surprisingly, this kingdom seriously considers the cleanliness of their city. With the help of the government and the Adventurer's Guild, community services and facilities for it exists on the cities and towns of this kingdom. I don't really know what they do to the trashes on the trash disposal area, but the people here seems to just put it on those area, so I will do just that.
"Thank you for helping me, missy." The old guy with a hunched back said. His wrinkled face forming into a surprisingly expressive form of gratitude.
"I'm glad to be of help..."
I'm just being polite. Actually, I want to finish this as soon as possible when I started going to his trashes. I just noticed that my sense of smell is pretty sharp. It is so sharp that the rotting smell within the hemp sack is piercing through my nose. It makes me feel dizzy!
After trying my best at not talking to him so much and arranging everything before carrying them to the nearest trash disposal area, I finally left the place after he stamped the request parchment with three stars.
I should take note not to accept trash disposal requests in the future. My nose still hurts and I felt like throwing up.... eugh....
The next quest I did is finding the pet of some housewife. I get to her house first and ask her about it. After getting the details about her pet, I finally go around the city to find the cat.
My plan is to ask the people around about the lost cat, and go to any leads I might find. Though this might be because of my instincts as a Demihuman, or I am just lucky because I managed to find where the cat is located after letting wandering around without any purpose on my steps. It's because the people have no useful hint that I just go with my gut feeling and suddenly thought of finding a good napping spot.
The black cat with some white spots on it's body is sleeping on the tree, at the tree branches above. It's pretty high so I don't want to go up there, even when I somehow felt confident that I can climb up there.
"Come here, Pinky. Your owner is looking for you!" I tried calling to it with it's name, and surprisingly the cat obeyed and jumped into my offered arms.
I don't know how that happens. It feels like the cat somehow understood me. It also purrs amicably as I tried stroking it's head and the side of it's ears as I walk back to the housewife who owns the cat.
After that, the housewife also gave me a three star stamp, though before I left we got a little problem where the cat Pinky kept trying to come along with me. After awhile, they finally gave up after I constantly put them back to the arms of their owner.
When afternoon comes, I walked back to the Honeyworks Tavern to eat a lunch. The lunch is simply a fresh vegetable salad with some potato and milk. Despite them only using salt for these vegetables, it is somehow tasty and palatable.
After that, I decided to do the simpler task I have which is bringing a mail from one place to another. I immediately walked on the designated location where I can get the mail. It's pretty far so I have to walk for a few minutes before I got there.
I think this place is the northern district. The Honeyworks Tavern is located southeast of this city, and the Adventurer's Guild on the eastern part of this city. I mostly used the main roads to get to the northern district.
When I got to this district, the first thing I noticed is that the roads are a lot more wider than the eastern and southern districts. The second thing I noticed is that the houses around here are uniformly separated than the slightly messy arrangement on the southern and eastern district. The houses here are more like mansions with a lot of space of trimmed grasses and beautiful gardens around it.
"It is an honor to have our mail be delivered by you." The man with a decent suit said politely as he handed me the mail.
It seems like he is just a butler on the house, and his sole purpose is to hand this mail to the adventurer who accepted the request. The mail will then be delivered to the Magician's Guild, which seems to be located on the western district.
After saying my farewells to him, I walked all the way until I got to the western district. They said that the Magician's Guild is easy to spot on, and they are right. It is truly eye-catching as it is literally a tower!
It's not as high as a skyscraper, but it can be considered a multi-storey building in height alone. Walking inside the guild, I was immediately greeted by a man wearing an elaborately decorated scholar's robe.
"You must be the rumored Cat Eared Person. It is nice to meet you!" And so he greeted me as he presented his hand at me.
"Nice to meet you too. My name is Lize." I said, shaking his hand, before moving to taking the mail I have been clutching on my other hand, that was also gripping my staff, and handing it to him. "I came here on an errand. Please check it."
The scholarly man looks at it for a moment before nodding. "Yes, this is the one we have been waiting for." He said before presenting his palm.
I gave the request paper for this quest and he nodded before he told me to follow him. It seems like he wanted to tour me around for a bit as he told me about the library itself.
"I already heard from the Adventurer's Guild. You are a mage right?" He said as he glances at me while I am still following him. "What kind of magic can you do, Miss Lize?"
Magic. I actually don't know what I can actually do with Lize's power. I know about Fallen Nova and some of her skills, though not all of her supposed "Vast repertoire of magic" that has been stated on the story multiple times.
"It's all basic dark magic. I'm still practicing." I think it will be bad if they learned about the Fallen Nova, so I decided not to say it for now and be vague about it. I am already being stared at by a lot of people, I don't want them to suddenly react with me wielding a power comparable to a nuke.
"I see. Then if you are interested, you can come here and read some of the books. There are fees, but I'm sure it is cheap if you want to learn more about magic!"
"I see. I'll think about it next time."
Learning magic. Lize is said to be pretty talented at magic. I don't know if I inherited her talent by using her body, but I hope it is. I don't want to be stuck with a single AoE spell!
We passed through the rows of bookshelves and robed people reading silently on the sides, and some other rooms that seems to have some sort of purpose like that certain room that has a weird chemical smell in it. We finally arrived on what I consider his office, and he seems to write something on a paper before stamping my request parchment with three stars.
"Miss Lize, can you please hand this on a girl named Nadia. She is a small blonde haired receptionist on the Adventurer's Guild." He gave me the parchment he stamped, and the other one that he wrote on which is now rolled and binded by a string.
Small blonde haired girl receptionist? Isn't that the one who I kept interacting with on that guild?
"Sure." I simply accepted it and take the rolled parchment.
"By the way... if you will be fine satisfying my curiosity, can you tell me about that staff you are carrying? It looks masterfully crafted!" He suddenly said.
This staff? I don't even know! The game didn't say anything about it!
"... I don't really know the full history of this staff. My family gave it to me before I left my hometown." Let's go with that kind of reason.
He looks a bit dissatisfied, before shaking his head. "That is fine. Thank you for answering me." He said.
With that, I am finally done with today's quest. As for the other ones... there is no time limit to these quests so I can do it tomorrow!
I left the tower and walk all the way back to the Adventurer's Guild. The skies has gradually turned dark when I arrived there to submit all of my completed quests.
Multiple quests completion confirmed. You got the following rewards!
I just got back on the tavern, and has eaten a dinner. Now that I am inside my room, I have decided to put Lize to sleep mode while I am processing what I learned at this.
So it seems like submitting quests that I completed on the guild will be recognized by my powers. The rewards seems to be the same, so I think I have to expect that any quest I do will have the same rewards.
I am still not sure. I have to find out more to learn if I can only get the same amount of rewards for each quests or there are other quests that can give more rewards to me.
Anyway, if I keep up with this, then sooner or later I will be able to roll the Gacha! I am waiting to do eleven rolls, because using a single spin is a stupid move!
As a proud Gacha Player, everyone knows doing single rolls will only net you nothing. Unless you have some guaranteed rolls, the only thing you can get are trashes that you don't even need!
I need ten tickets. I at least wanted to roll eleven times once and see what are my chances in this Gacha. I hope I have a high chance of getting another character. Preferably someone that doesn't have a very sensitive body part like Lize!
Anyway, as this has proven that I can get tickets from any quests that I completed, I decided to continue doing this for the following days! I always get ten gold coins anyway so no matter what I chose, it is always profitable for me!
.... Though, I have to think of adding something to my outfit. It's pretty hard carrying a lot of gold coins on my pocket....
I'll ask the owner of this tavern tomorrow if they know any shop that sells a belt strap and some pouches. Maybe I should even look for a belt pouch?
I can't wait to roll on the Gacha!~
It's been so long since I wrote a long chapter...
I hope you have fun with this chapter too!~

"Wow, an exotic Cat Noblewoman! Please, tell us all about yourself."
"Me? I'm just a completely normal person. Nothing to write home about, really."
"Oh, okay."
*Lize used 'Obfuscation Field'. It's very effective!*
I hope the system works where the MC has to pilot multiple bodies instead of swapping them out like used tissues. It would feel way too convenient if they worked that way.
I think I'm also invested into Lize at this point lol.
Personally, even if I like the airy feeling of the story, I have to say that the "gacha" mechanic is really the only selling point. The setting seems like a generic JRPG fantasy world while the characters have little in the way of characterization. All I know about the protagonist is that she likes gacha games and is a people person.
On a certain morning, within the office of the guild master of the Adventurer's Guild, an old man is sagely nodding to the small blonde haired girl wearing the guild staff uniform. Their topic is about their newest and intriguing member of their guild.
"It's been a few days now. How is our newest member. Has she become used to working here?"
"Yes. She is proactively asking for easy-to-do quests which helps us a lot. Some of the quests that has been stuck on our archives are being done with her."
"Oh... what kind of quests is she doing now?" The old man seems surprised as his droopy eyelids opened a bit wider.
"Currently she has been helping with cleaning the attic, and she also accepted a quest of arranging books on the local library."
"That was.... surprising..." The old man looks contemplative as she mutters that. "How about her attitude?"
"Uhmm... pardon me for saying this, but Miss Lize seems incredibly excited at doing low income work. She has the same enthusiasm as the young adventurers who got their first quests."
"I see... so she isn't dissatisfied with the lowly work?"
"Yes."
The guild master nodded appreciatively at that. "Good. Let's hope she stays working within the city."
After that, the two talks about something else. Another day has ended. I have eaten plenty, and Lize's body is currently on sleep mode. It's been a few days now since I found myself in this world. Since I learned how I can get Silver Tickets, I have been doing a lot of community services.
Despite working for a long time, I am barely winded by my activities. It just shows that Lize has a lot of stamina in her.
Anyway, the Gacha. I finally acquired enough silver tickets to roll eleven times on the Common Gacha. I can't wait!~
Common Gacha [1 Spin (x1 Silver Ticket)] [11 Spins (x10 Silver Tickets)]
Premium Gacha [1 Spin (x1 R. Orb)] [11 Spins (x10 R. Orb)]
Supreme Gacha [1 Spin (x1 G. Crystal)] [11 Spins (x10 G. Crystals)]
Character Gacha [1 Spin (x10 C. Ticket)] [11 Spins (x10 C. Ticket)]
I accumulated eleven silver tickets after I submitted my completed quests for this day. I also managed to gather a hundred and ten gold coins overall. Those gold coins are currently inside the leather pouch I recently bought from a tailor the guild recommended for me.
Now then, it is time to start rolling for the Gacha!
And so I did.
Do you want to spend 10 Silver Tickets on the Common Gacha?
With my confirmation, the panel in my mind changes into a set of eleven cards. Most of them staying at the bronze color, though the other five rolls with a pleasant bell-like noise. Those five changing into silver cards. Then two of those silver cards flips once more with a more flashier sound and a sparkly effect as it turned into gold.
Then it stops right there, before one by one they flipped, showing the results of this spin.
x2 Fresh Apple (1★)
Iron Sword (1★)
Health Potion (1★)
Bone (1★)
Charcoal (1★)
Diamond Armor (2★)
Youth Berry (2★)
Bundle of Gold Bars (2★)
Dragon Spire (3★)
Golden Ticket (3★)
.... What?
No really.... WHAT!?
Where is my new avatar!? Why did I only get these things!? Lize can't even equip any of these things!
No way.... this is impossible. I've been working nonstop just so I can get a new avatar as soon as possible. What is this?
No wait. I still have a few chances. I still have a one silver ticket, and a hundred gold coins to roll twice!
I also got a Golden Ticket. That means I can roll on the Premium Gacha!
I can get an avatar! There is no way I can't get at least a single one!
Do you want to spend 1 Silver Ticket and 100 Gold Coins on the Common Gacha?
I look in trepidation as I saw the card already starting as a golden one. It flips and turns into a diamond colored one with a really colorful sparkly effects and splash effects around it. Then it flips once more, making an exaggerated animation of the diamond card animation from a short while ago with some confettis around it, showing a shiny rainbow colored card.
This is it! Give me a five star character!
Myriad Heavenly Lotus Flower (5★)
..... No.... nononononononononono!?!?!!!!!
THIS IS INSANE! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO TO THIS ITEM!? IT'S FROM A DIFFERENT UNIVERSE, DAMMIT!!! LIZE IS NOT A CULTIVATOR!!!! Okay... I am calm now...
I might have forcefully deactivated Lize's sleep mode and is currently using her body right now. Sitting on the side of the bed and looking at the items that suddenly appeared around my room, but I am calm now. There is no need to be mad anymore.
There are two fresh and delectable looking apples lying on my side, and on my other side a clean and smooth looking bone. The one that is usually seen on games or cartoons. There is also a bunch of black cuboid rocks on the side which might be the charcoals that I got. Then besides the bone is a red berry that seems to sparkle with life, and a circular flask filled with red liquid.
Besides the bed is a sack with some of the gold bars peeking through it. A set of full plate armor made of shiny diamond is leaning on that sack of gold bars. A sword with a nice sheen on it and an elaborately designed spear with a coppery sheen in it is leaning on the side of the wall near the bed.
There is an orb on my lap which I can feel some mysterious power on, and a weird ticket clutched on my fingers.
Finally, there is a very beautiful flower contained in a ceramic and ancient looking pot laid atop the drawer that's besides the window.
I don't really know what I should do with these items. Lize can't really use any of these. Even if she can, I don't have the relevant knowledge to use any of them!
The apples can be eaten. This berry.... I think I can sell it at a decent price?
Right, I'll sell everything I can't use. The Dragon Spire is not really important to me. It might be a high level spear from Deus Collapse, an open world fast paced action RPG game made from a Chinese turned Singaporean company, but it is useless for me. The Diamond Armor is just literally an armor made of pure diamond. There is no way I can wear it, even if I have a lot of stamina because I can't carry heavy stuffs!
I am not a hoarder. Unless it's a character from a Gacha Game, there is no way I will be collecting these stuff!
I'm the type who likes to collect characters instead of items! Even if it's impractical, I just like rolling for all the characters and having a complete collection of them!
So then... how about this one?
This flower that gave off a really mysterious and profound feeling is a precious item on the Heavenly Sect, a chinese Gacha Game about establishing a sect and collecting cultivators through a Gacha system.
The Myriad Heavenly Lotus Flower is one of the endgame requirement to promote a cultivator to the level of True Primordial Enlightenment, which is the final level of cultivation on that game. The flavor text about it is that it is a flower that bloomed before the existence of the Twelve Heavens. The flowers' blooming indicates the birth of the Heavens, or something like that.
I don't really know how I can utilize this. The game is all about clicking things and letting things happen. It's a trashy game that only has very "beautiful" arts and some "innovating" game designs in it, which is another term for a game without any substance in it other than cramming whatever the developers think is fun.
It's literally a garbage game with the only purpose of getting money from those stupid enough to play it. I am one of those stupid people, by the way...
Anyway, because I don't know what I can do with this item, I decided to just sell it somewhere else. It's not like any people in this world will know how to use an item that is supposed to be the creator of Heavens.
It is still midnight, so I decided to pass the time and think about this tomorrow... As the catgirl sleeps peacefully once more with her possessor contemplating things on their personal space, on different mysterious realms, multiple gazes suddenly focused on that particular tavern, specifically on the rainbow colored flower besides the window.
"What a fragrant smell... I want to get it..." One of these presences says.
"That flower... it will be more suited to my gardens of paradise!" Another exclaims, this one having a really beautiful voice.
"It contains a strong essence of the stars! It should belong to us, the Dragon Race!" An overwhelming presence grunted as his voice echoed on the mysterious realm.
"Kuahahaha! The only being allowed to get it is me, The Demon God!" An uproarious laughter echoed on a dark realm.
"How curious... it has the same smell as my Mother, but yet has a different presence than her.... I want to know more...." A solemn voice echoes on the holy chambers of some sacred land.
Many more declares their intent around their realms, and soon, different parts of the world trembles as they make their presence known.
Short chapter again for now...
Sorry, I am not good at characterization and writing dialogues. It is one of my weakest aspect on writing other than explaining things...
I will try to improve more... I hope...
If you want to support me, you can go to my Kofi account here.
I can recommend some resources on that. My favorite blog that talks about such things is K. M. Weiland's blog Helping Writers Become Authors. Whatever aspect of characterization you have trouble with, she can help. This in particular might help you (it's basically a checklist of all of the writing mistakes that I've made ).
In general, what I get is that we don't have your character feel strongly about anything. I notice that your Eminence in Shadow fanfic didn't suffer from that problem because you really had a handle on both Shadow's personality and the comedic characterization that makes the series what it is. Cid is a character with strong desires and goals that drive him. Shadow is deadset on playing the "Eminence in Shadow" no matter what, no matter the consequences, and no matter what anyone else thinks! Everyone then tries to make sense of her actions and fails because they all buy into her act. Shadow also possesses flaws that make her her own worst enemy, such as impulsiveness and obliviousness. These flaws prevent her from running roughshod over everyone else and getting whatever she wants without effort.
For the main character of this story (I'll call them Lize for now), I think you've done a good job writing her so far. However, I'd like to get to know her more! All I know about the main character is that they are addicted to Gacha games and love Lize, the latter characteristic causing her not to internalize the compliments she's been receiving. Those are fine character traits, but I think that more can be added. What else characterizes the main character besides Gacha games? Maybe she discovers something she likes about the world that causes her to explore that thing, leading to some wacky misadventures. Maybe she comes across as narcissistic to others due to how much she preens whenever she's complemented, leading to some duplicitous people thinking that they can get close to her by flattering her. Maybe her naivete causes her to misinterpret a situation, so she inserts herself into something she shouldn't have.
I do like how her Gacha results gave her a "useless" item that promises to cause conflict later. However, rather than having the character simply wait around while the bad guys get her is boring. Your protagonist has a goal (get to the Beast Kingdom) and some obstacles (lack of money, bad guys after her flower, and human supremacists). How about you use that to your advantage? Have her do something that causes others to respond to her. And, in turn, have her respond to other people's actions.
More can be said about the narration. Perhaps diversify the sentences so that every sentence doesn't use "I" as the subject. I would also give more details as the main character explores the world. What sets this world apart from the generic JRPG setting in pretty much every isekai and fantasy light novel? You've been doing a good job of characterizing others as assuming Lize is some kind of blue-blooded beastfolk. Well, maybe have someone act on that next chapter? Perhaps the local lord is a playboy and wants Lize to be his new fiance. Suddenly, there is tension there - Lize might want to use him to get more money, but can he be trusted? Will he turn out to be an antagonist or a protagonist? Maybe he was one of the people who wants her flower. Who knows?
Alternatively, I can imagine this scenario: after waking up, she reads a bit of her book and reads all of the spells that interest her. She then sees an adventurer bullying another, weaker one. She decides to test out her magic on the bully and help the little guy since video games taught her to do things like that. She then does so and immediately causes a lot of problems - it might be against the law to use such powerful offensive magic in a city building, or the bully might be well-connected. For bonus points, this blunder might confirm in the eyes of others that Lize is an ex-noble - putting someone in their place like that is what a magic-using noble would do in that situation.
