Gallia has a population of 15 millions.

It is the biggest country in the world of Halk -that humans know of.

By comparison, we can estimate that Germania and Tristain have smaller populations, but still in the million ranges.

A noticeable invading fleet is composed of Tristain and Germanian forces numbering the sixty thousands troops (or a number of the sort), taken in part from mercenaries, and in part from 'Marquis' men, that is, the levied militia.

Of the elves we know that they are divided in tribes, tend to make rules followed by all elves through a council, and that they're practically a mixture of prancing Greek and Arab cultures -that is, if you're not an elf you're a pathetic barbarian, and honor's a big thing, especially regarding keeping one's word.

I do not know of any estimated numbers, but I felt that, if the total combined armies of Halkeginia could potentially reach 100K troops for a crusade by uniting all continents, then an army of fifty to sixty thousands elves could easily repel them.

Since all elves serve in the army, it's obvious that we must cut from that number those who wouldn't go on an offensive war unless directly ordered, or would be kept back in case of a counter-attack.

So I took sixty, cut in half, and sent half forth while half remained behind.

So basically what you are saying is, that the Elves just lost 40% - 50% of their total combat ready forces.
Isn't this basically the largest number of elves killed in a single human / elf engagement ever? Excluding the founders genocide 6000 years ago?

Blossoming fiery rockets of fire
...Redundant much? (I'd drop the first).
the blinding white lights that followed did more than enough to blind the firing crews
Again, redundant. Maybe 'the bright white lights that followed did more than enough to blind the firing crews'?
This was about making the elves bleed for it one life at thea time.

I fight elves with axe and shield
(From a quick google, yours is a potential spelling, but a more modern one, so I'm not entirely sure it's appropriate in context).

Edit: Not touching those extra tags, but anyone know what's up with that? I've never had that happen to me before now...

Brimir genocided another race while as an ally of the elves afterwards the elves kicked him and his people out if their homes.
After saving the elves asses along with his own people's.
The spirits deaths were collateral damage.

At the same time, the strength of Galia is spent, as its army was decimated.

Are you kidding?

Even at 50% casualties, this was a major victory on Henry and Gallia's part. It was stated that Gallia outnumbered the elves 2:1, and then suffered 50% losses to the elves 28K, Henry achieved an unheard of 1:1 exchange against the elves without the use of bullshit void magic or literal nukes. Recruitment will likely go through the roof as people who will have inevitability lost friends and family, or are seeking glory under a commander that could bring miraculous victories sign up for the army.

Henry has been gearing Gallia for war for most of this story (years), replacing lost equipment like uniforms, weapons, ammunition is going to be trivial. Replacing ships is a more daunting task, but possible under wartime production with the looming threat of elves.

And with a population base of millions of people, replenishing the manpower lost is only a question of training time, a few months if he wants to be thorough, a few weeks if rushed.

Wait. So are you saying the Elvish population was around 60,000 (not counting those too young/old or infirm to fight)? If so, this just crippled the Elves and put them in a much worse position to negotiate.

Either way they now have like 32,000 soldiers, versus at least 25,000 Gallians. Not counting at least 50,000 more Halkeginians. If they're modernized or at least put under Henrys' command, the next fight could be about 3:1.

If Square mages are walking, living WMDs and Karin is the equivalent of a tac nuke, then Henry is sarin nerve gas.

Oxygen deprivation doesn't have to be lethal. It's possible to force a target into unconsciousness by physically cutting off their oxygen supply in a chokehold. All Henry needs to do for a non-lethal attack is just hold the vacuum long enough for his target to pass out.

Raven's shield came swiftly up, his ax working in overdrive to swat away the swords dancing for my guts or head.

There was only one thing that no matter how much of a bullshit Spirit magic was, it could not deny.

Elves were living creatures too. They had hearts. They had stomachs.
Not to pop your bubble but this is a minor plot hole :V

Namely that if you can reverse direction of any given thing, you can stop something leaking from going out.

:V:V:V

Granted it's a plot hole whose existance lends a lot to the reading experience so carry on

So Henry was able to do the Vacuum as a dot. Imagine a square class version.

Quite suddenly a good quarter of the elvish army is choking to death. Combine it with flashbangs and shit is nightmare fuel.

Now have him teach the spell to his mother.

There goes another half of the army.

Joseph: That boy seems to be doing better than expected. It's almost boring! Maybe he needs a little pick me up.

Anne: Hey Joseph, I figured out how this Stone Mask we found works!

Joseph: Excellent! Mass produce it! Give it to the Son in Law!

Vacuum isn't as nonleathal as choking. With choking you have air still in the lungs, just losing oxygen, with Vacuum you have the lung membranes drying out and becoming brittle so the blood pressure ruptures the capillaries drowning them in their own blood as well as gas bubbles forming in the blood stream.

Keeping the air inside a counter shield is nontrivial, as the spirits might never have encountered an attack like this before and don't really know how to do it. Maybe they can learn, but I wouldn't bet on it happening fast enough.

Legendary? Henry, on the battlefield in front of hundreds of witnesses, countered counter magic in what looked like single combat.

Henry the Great will be what history remembers him by.

Me thinks the elves will repond to Bishidal's diplomatic offer now.
