YA romance...that sounds kinda neat, actually.
So far the romance has consisted of one lunch maybe-coincidence-maybe-date, with no promises of follow-up from either party, though their friends (on each side) are very deeply interested and plotting to play matchmaker and make sure it takes off. Like, I have 1700+ words that are basically the friends of the girl saying "TELL ME MORE TELL ME MORE DID YOU GET VERY FAR".

I am not going to finish my story arc lol.

I'm at like 32,000 words but I'm only maybe halfway or a third way to where I want to be in the story (for the end of book 1 anyways, lol)

"TELL ME MORE TELL ME MORE DID SHE PUT UP A FIGHT?"

...

uhh...wow...erm...

So. At 42,754 words now, which isn't all that much to some of you, but it's so amazing being less than 7000 words from the end. Just got to push that last stretch ouuuuuuut...!

44K Words! Nearly at the home stretch!

Whew, probably can wrap this tomorrow or two days later, yay! Man it feels weird being able to say that.

(4000 words more than the original draft, and I'm not even finished!)

Congratulations! I'm at 48k words - been in a bit of a funk for the past couple of days - hoping to get it all done within the weekend!

AAAAAAAND I just got it validated at 50,054 words, after having written 1,533 words about two women making a salad together on a stone chessboard in the middle of a park in winter.

Will I continue this? Maybe, but unlikely. The problem with pantsing is that I don't have any "final scene", per se, to build towards, and already I'm feeling other ideas call to me to be worked on. x_x Still, this was quite the writing exercise!

Humpf.

I'm only around 35k – which, in normal times, would be a incredible achievement for me. The problem here is that it's not actual original work – the original work started for this month is still at 25. Words, not thousands of. No, those 35k are actually translation (I did not chose my title randomly, after all).

Bah, anyway it was something that I was way too late on, so I'd still count this as a victory.

Congratulations guys, we all worked hard to get here. Even for the ones who didn't make it, you tried you gosh darn best and that's all that matters. Hell that's pretty much the spirit of Nanowrimo, just fucking write. Funnily enough, I did reach 75 percent of original story. with 51K words. The original story? 33K. So not too bad overall!

Personally, I feel this song's title fits better with Nanowrimo's theme but ah well.

Cheers!

Well, I'm translating from English to my native language. It's... easier in that way. Also, it's not macroeconomics, but rather a thing that I really liked – like so much that I want it to be avaible in more languages so that more people can read it. Motivation is importante.

I mean, my dad paid me, and quite well at that, but I can't imagine actually doing that for a full month. I did it for two, three days, and came out the other end feeling like a zombie. And that was in between browsing and shitposting and doing unrelated stuff. It wasn't even hard, honestly, just... exhausting. I kept nodding off and getting sleepy. It was fun, though.
