[X] Claim the boy as your "partner". Ozpin said something about teams and you're not going to come back first only to find out that you "needed to do it as a team" or some nonsense like that.

[X] Burst past him. You're confident enough in your skills that you can find the relic before him, no matter how odd his start was. You just couldn't afford to let him get the upper hand.

[X] Trail the boy. You can afford to watch him from a distance, and put on a last burst of speed at the end to outtake him and take a relic before him. From then on it's only a matter to making it back before him.
