Greetings and salutations my fellow forumites.

This quest follows a random Saiyan primitive shape the flow of his civilization. Or die horribly and have the NEXT guy shape the flow of Saiyan civilization. Either way really.
Set millennia before the Canon destruction of Planet Vegeta 2.0 it begins when the Sayajin are back on their Killer Hellhole of a Deathworld they call Home. You will follow the rise, fall and ass-pull victories of the MC, his allies, his enemies and his civilization

Like my previous Saiyain quest it will have 'interpretations' of Canon, or less politely termed:
Im totes using my own Fanon yo.

If there is a conflict with Canon and something in this quest it's either a mistake, a conflict due to you messing around millennia before Canon or its inherent AUyness.

But enough with the introduction, you want the changes, the options and to beat up random things in the name of Saiyan Pride right?

Power levels are not bullshit, they are simply not the whole story. Just because someone is stronger and faster and tougher, doesn't mean tactics, training and ass-pulling wont bring them down
Any Saiyan can go Super, if they hit the 3 prereqs: a) 15K PL b) a Reason to devote yourself to fighting (eg. to help others, to prove Saiyans are the BEST MOTHERF***ERS IN THE UNIVERSE, to earn Dad's respect/attention) and c) a pure RAEG to push you over the edge. be it frustration at being outclassed by a PEON, the death of a best friend etc.)
Humans aren't special by themselves, but what they are is a Power Boost to fused genes. Half-Saiyans gain Power even faster than Purebloods, can skip the Reason for SS and are more balanced emotionally. Human-Cyborgs pull more performance from their robotic parts than the technology itself could sustain as a pure robot.
More added if I think of it

The Sayajin are a rough and aggressive people, with honour held only in strength and strength only in ones ability to survive the brutal conditions and even more brutal brethren of their home.
Their social abilities consisting mainly of taunting one another, a threatening of death a standard greeting and flirting comes across more as malice to more human ears
Still even a primitive and aggressive people have taboos, their main one being their tails.
The only reason to touch another Saiyan's tail is to remove it (a grevious dishonour to the tailless Saiyan) or to reprimand a naughty son or daughter

Warnings:
- You have no Plot Armour. If you die you get to be a new character at lvl1
- Saiyans pull shit out of their asses. This applies to you AND to your enemies
- This is a GODDAMN DEATHWORLD. Plants are almost always poisonous in some way or other, though your likely immune to many of those poisons, prey animals are subjective, even the weakest are probably going to slaughter a few hundred Earth predators with ease. The only thing NOT trying to kill you is the earth, and even that is up for debate given the 10G gravity norm.

You are a Saiyan Warrior in the year ?, a whelp about to take on the wild and bountiful world of Vegeta, your home planet. Well before your kind invade Planet Plant and even further before said planet is destroyed along with your people it is Your time. To lead, to dictate, to shape. Or to falter, to die, to sink into the mires of forgotten lore

But in order to forge your path you must first forge yourself.
What are you my young monkey?

Welp might as have fun with making our character.
You are a
[x] Female Saiyan

From a Tribe in the
[x] Cave-ridden mountains, the home of the flighted and the depth-dwellers (???Shiny Bonus)

You were born to two parents, like most Saiyans. What were they like?

And finally my youngling, what is your name?
[x] Patchouli

[x] Appearance:

That appearance doesnt really match, given this is the era of hide and fur, other than that great

-
Power level 80*1*1 = 80
Shiny bonus: Flight Rank1 (Rank2 because Monkey DOES See trait)

Patch the weakling. The name follows you throughout your childhood among the peaks of your mountain home, not even soaring into the sky lets you flee from it completely
Your tiny level of Ki barely enough to support yourself, hold yourself aloft. Even with your rather efficient use compared to your peers, your natural limits seem to show themselves well before theirs. Your excellent speed in the air unmatched by all but the adults, but your reactions and landspeed falter well behind the others
Your parents didnt help, their focus on their own training and sparring. You dont blame them for that, they need to hunt for the food you eat and merely watching them is educational, but sometimes you wish you didnt have to copy, sometimes you just want to be shown and taught by them like every other kid

You arent all bad, but you still feel something is missing however, some aspect of yourself left unfilled preventing your shining success in the world.

"Hey Patch, stop daydreaming and get over here. The Loremaster is here!" One of your peers calls, blitzing past faster than you can see, smacking you on the head softly
The Loremaster, a wanderer in the mountains who teaches the history to the Flighted Tribes. Avoiding the land-bound like the rest of you he still teaches hundreds of children.
You wonder what he is teaching today...

The Way of the Saiyan and the Way of the Sayajin
The Saiyan is a dual-natured creature, born of the Immaterial Light and the Fur of Reality combined we represent both within ourselves
The legendary Super Saiyan form shows our pure Light while the Gift of the Moon, the form of Ozaru, is our Fur brought into transcendance
But not all we do is that of opposites, the two aspects merge and filter. The Light of the Moon, the Golden Ape, is one such example.

The Immaterial light, the soul held within ourselves that focuses us and allows us to fly. To follow it's path is to seek to become a Pathfinder, a true Hero that puts down a new usage of the Light or the world around us for others to adapt and enhance. Originality and uniqueness is the Way of the Saiyan
The Reality Fur, the manifest of everything. Touch, taste, feel. To follow this path is to become a Pathbeater, a teacher and a student one, always trying to learn how to learn better, to make better what already exists. Enhancing ourselves though mimicry and adaptiveness is the Way of the Sayajin

Which are you?
[ ] Saiyan
[ ] Sayajin

[X] Saiyan

I think its best we go with this for now since we probably don't have the base to mimic everything we want and we already seem to be inventive going by the update. I've already got an idea in mind to take advantage of this.

We seem to be good at flying, so what if we adapted some of that great flying speed into quick controllable bursts alongside our efficient use of Ki?

[X] Saiyajin

because it Fits. Instead of being locked into Super Saiyan power ups and that nonsense, the Saiyajin is one who seeks true perfection, a never ending task.

[X] Sayajin

Well, if the goal is a better saiyan race and not just a stronger one, this sounds more useful.

This update has fought me so hard, not helped by my losing internet access for a few days.
Also I updated the character sheet, you can fly around 6kph with your limited Power Level. The average kid with 200PL but only Rank1 gets 2kph.
The toughest kid in the Tribe with 550PL can almost catch you in the air

---

The words of the Loremaster inspires something within you. Sitting enraptured by the wiseman as he tells tales of new techniques pulled from nothing, retrieved from the Stolen Stores of Knowledge.
The strength of the soul surviving against the weight of Vegeta, found by the Pathfinder Totepo during the first years after Creation.
The swiftness of the Hunter, found by the Pathfinder Paragus when the Fruits withered during the First Testing
The toughness against the wounds of the Other, found by Pathfinder Nappa during the Second Testing
The knowledge of Flight itself, a technique you excel at, was originally Found by the Pathfinder Raditz when the Flighted Tribes were one moving into the area.

Every story expanding your knowledge, igniting the passions of your mind to explore and seek. New techniques filling your head despite the almost complete lack of experience in making things plausible.
You think that the ability to turn your soul into fire is probably stupidly implausible, but SO AWESOME...If only you didnt need your soul to fly, you could throw around fireballs and not have to get within stabbing range.

But even insane children need to grow up sometime, and the years pass with swiftness unseen by all but the most elder Sayajin Warrior. Soon it is the Day of Testing, where Children become Adults or join the Great Escape within the prison binding the Fallen and the Ultimate Super Saiyan.
You must go out of the tribe, into the wild to hunt. The bigger the threat the greater the prestige.
[ ] Hunt Solo (+Prestige)
[ ] Try to join a group (++Chance of success)
-[ ] The outcasts (Easier to convince, -chance of success)
-[ ] The other girls (Average)
-[ ] The Chief's son and his entourage (Harder to convince, +chance of success)

What do you hunt?
[ ] Mangsa, a large bird with sharp blade-like talons on the ends of each of it's 4 wings. A common prey animal among the winged ecosystem (Easiest)
[ ] Batu makan, a tunnelling rock-eater whose species likely created the cave system you live in. Huge with low senses but a blinding speed this worm is more of a threat than you think (Easy)
[ ] Serigala, a 4-legged beast with wicked fangs and senses that seem to defy the conventional (Medium)
[ ] Kelelawar, one of the few flighted species that hunts within the caves instead of on the mountainside, this glowing bird can survive the deadliest attacks without a scratch (Hard)
[ ] Lanyau, an ambush predator, this mimicking beast will try to infiltrate groups and pick them off one by one, their soft gelatinous insides dispersing every blow. (Group-only pick, Hardest)

Also I'm thinking of doing little snippets of Saiyan Lore, mostly because I cant stop making it in my head.
What do you guys think?

[ ] Yes to Lore
[ ] No to Lore

[x] Hunt Solo

[X] Kelelawar, one of the few flighted species that hunts within the caves instead of on the mountainside, this glowing bird can survive the deadliest attacks without a scratch (Hard)

[x] Yes to Lore.

guys, lets Not pick the most difficult fight, when our character is a weakling by Saiyan standards. Death is a very real possibility here.

instead, lets pick a fight with the extra sensory monster that Can't fly, unlike the hard mode beasty that not only shrugs off most attacks, but Can fly, and likes to hunt in deep caves.

[X] Hunt Solo

[X] Serigala

[X] Yes to Lore

If we go for the hard one, we should bring some friends along. The "senses that defy the conventual" makes me a bit vary, but if we are fast enough we should be able to defeat it.

[X] Yes to Lore

Although once we figure out how to throw out energy blasts we're going to invent the saiyain word word for bullet hell.
