From the Grand Admiral's Office
Thrawn had to admit that he found himself in a curious situation. His exile was cut short by being found by a Criminal Syndicate that at the same time acts as a counter-conspiracy to a conspiracy by the Sith. A conspiracy that reaches back at least a thousand years which all worked towards this war. If things were different and he would've had only the choice between supporting the Republic or Palpatine he would've gladly supported Palpatine to be able to inevitably throw the Galaxys ressources at the threats of the Unknown Regions to aid the Ascendancy, the fact that the Galaxy would burn in the process be damned as the Republic itself is corrupt, incompetent and strangled to death by red tape.

Fortunately that was not a choice he had to made as Ciaran had proven herself time and time again of being the one person capable of changing the Galaxy for the better. Admittedly, her means were questionable at best but she had a genuine interest in restoring the Galaxy and she is the most likely to reform the governments through her influence. Palpatine would just burn everything down to reshape the galaxy in the way he envisions it and suppress everyone that things even slightly difference. Oppresion, brutal subjugation, genocide and xenophobia would reign supreme. The Republic on the other hand, if it were allowed to get rid of Palpatine and then sort itself out on its own would likely gut itself in a fit of paranoia for the sake of a false sense of 'security' and likely replace the corruption with incompetence and even worse indecisiveness than before.

Besides, in the short time he has been working for Ciaran she has proven herself as someone appreciative of diversity, open-minded and extremely competent while also being charismatic enough to ensure the loyalty of her excentric assemble of followers. A charisma that quite likely would even ensure that the Abyss Watchers would continue to work as intended by her, should she die. After all, if it were to happen he definitely would ensure it as she has allready given him many things he wanted. A nearly unlimited budget for art, countless opporturnities to practice and expand his knowledge of war and the influencing of others, genuine promises to help the Ascendacy he knows she will go through hell to keep and soon a weapon to destroy Mnggal-Mnggal. The happy coincidence of getting a young Jedi as... essentially a quite bright Protege just made the whole matter even more amusing.

Regardless, it was time to return to business as usuall as his office was once again being flooded by reports and he still had to call Ciaran, who was taking a break somewhere on Lordran, about Ahsokas condition. The sight of Lady Ciaran standing at an archaic cooking stove and clutching her hand once she appeared on the holo was quite unexpected though.

"Lady Ciaran. Do you have a moment?"

Not that she, as expected, would let that stop from putting on her best smirk...

"Certainly and I can guess quite well why you are calling. How is Ahsoka doing? The aftermath of the disaster with the bombing and the conspiracy behind it must still be taking quite a toll on her..."

((Thrawn contemplating that both the Republic and Palpatines planned Empire are absolute garbage and can't be allowed to proceed. Also, quite pleased by the events since his recruitment.))

Ventress would never admit it, but she was feeling a lot better than she did in a long, long time. Thinking about Ky Narec only caused her melancholy and sadness instead of rage and hate, she has found a willingness to be part of the Galaxy again as something else than a hatefull Sith who desires revenge against someone... anyone. In hindsight it has been a misrable existence filled with nothing but hate, rage and spite and she still has trouble distancing herself from it.

Fortunately Ciaran, in her usuall annoying way, does her best. She may want to strangle her for it occasionaly, but even she has to admit that Ciarans attention and effort... feels nice. She saved her life, dragged her across the galaxy towards many revelations and enabled her attempt to rediscover herself unaffected by the manipulations of others. Even the fact that she now insists on calling herself her sister (due to a certain procedure) doesn't annoy Asajj AS MUCH as she claims since her actuall sisters... feel less like sisters than they should since she only ever met the Nightsisters once. Meeting Maul who is essentially a rabbid monster and Talzins willingness to unleash her son on the Galaxy did its rest to dim her view.

Besides, the Abyss Watchers are a strange group. Due to the ever present diversity its members come from all walks of life, with all possible attitudes and they still all get along thanks to the efforts of Ciaran and her Council to the point that even Exiles and Outcasts could feel at home with them... with some effort. But the years of hate make it incredibly difficult... and painfull.

A thought for later, as Ventress had to stop her contemplations to concentrate again. The news that a deal has been made with Count Dooku was... disappointing and her darker urges demand that she lashes out again against someone... ANYONE. The last time nearly cost the life of Karrosi and she didn't want to disappoint Ciaran, herself... or her master. Again.

((Summary. Ventress may have found a measure of peace, developed compassion and been faced with the fact that HER misery and pain doesn't hold a candle against the misery of COUNTLESS others across the galaxy (which she even had a hand in via CIS). It doesn't mean though that she is doing particularly wel, behind her constantly complaining and grumbling facade.))

From the Warlords Hunt
Another succesfull hunt! This time against a more cunning opponent through the advantage of sentience, but considering his utter hatred of slavers Grievous saw no reason not to hunt some Slavers and skin them... although Jar Jar truly needs to work on his constitution as he once again passed out after the excitement was over. Still, at least he was as resourcefull as ever as he buried several Trandoshans under a shelf and distracted several more. Now, it was simply time to have the slaves picked up by the appropiate authorities, Jar Jar carried back to the ship and the skins hung up back home on Kalee.

It was curious, really. Not too long Grievous would've never believed that the Kalee would ever recover after the two wars against the Huk. Most were even convinced that the extinction of the Kaleesh was inevitable, but then Ciaran appeared and saved everyone. Due to her efforts the Republic was threatened into compensating for the damage they did several times over, the Huk were crushed, the Jedi were forced to rescue every single Kaleesh slave Ciaran could track down and later she ensured the modernisation of the entire planet and integration into the galactic society.

There has never been a person who has had so much of an impact on the Kaleesh in their entire history. She was allready considered a deity by many, despite not having done anything that the culture of the Kalee would normaly recognise as worthy of calling her a deity due to their warrior culture, but they still do. She has been the first person in the history of the Kalee to be called a deity for something else than war... and is now called their savior alongside Grievous.

A millenia old culture, changed in a few years by a single amibitious woman and her followers. Truly, a leader worth following with challenging opponents. Besides, who doesn't want to hang up a Sith or two as a hunting trophy?

((Summary: Grievous contemplating the fate of the Kaleesh and the effect Ciaran has had on them.))

From the Master's Chamber (Canon)
From the Masters Chamber
Obi-Wan made a mistake as his aching head quickly reminded him off. He contemplated the mystery that is Lady Ciaran. Lady Ciaran, the great socialite, philanthropist and businesswoman who supposedly managed to rise from nowhere to being one of the richest and most influential people in the Galaxy. She knows everyone, or at least knows someone who knows someone. Many people owe her favors or gratitude, she has saved countless people and beaten back the CIS and Republics influence through politics and essentially created a safezone in the galaxy for refugees through the CNS. Peace as the ultimate weapon... a sentence that only makes even the slightest bit of sense since Ciaran appeared.

On the other hand, she is a mystery. Despite her weak force aura she is definitely trained and hiding the full extend of her abilities. Amongst other things she has been clearly trained in lightsaber combat by Count Dooku, she defeated Ahsoka on Mortis, its obvious that she had a hand in the resolution of events on Mortis and the fact that her knowledge of Force abilities are varied implies that she knows more than just what the Luka Sene teach. He just knows that there is something more sinister behind all that, but the question is just WHAT... so in the end he has to accept her as a very strange ally.

Despite all this, she doesn't radiate any kind of true malice in her actions and words, her concern for others at the very least appears genuine and she hovers around Padme like what one would call a Guardian Angel. Although (and that he is quite determined about) he WILL hold a grudge about the situation she navigated him into... how is he supposed to handle the attention of Satine and Siri?! It has been making life more difficult than ever.
((Summary: Obi-Wan still is UTTERLY confused about Ciaran. He KNOWS that she is hiding A LOT, but he has no way to figure out what exactly. Also, Satine and Siri are making his life... complicated.))

From the Hutt's Palace (Canon)
From the Hutts Palace
Borvo the Hutt is a happy Hutt. Having encountered his 'honorary niece' Ciaran had turned out to be the best day in his entire life as working with her has made him rich and respected beyond his wildest dreams. First, she ensured that he could relocate away from Naboo with far less issues than one would expect, then they both robbed the entire planet, cooperated on various business ventures to mutual benefit and then she enabled him to share credit for the capture of Ziro the Hutt and recovery of all blackmail he ever had on the Hutt Council.

As if that were not enough, watching the effect Ciaran has had on the Hutts as a species is just as entertaining... watched from the center of the Abyss Watchers. No Hutt would ever admit it, but the younger ones are rapidly trying their best to fashion their approach to business along Ciarans approach which turns a lot of conversations from trying to threaten people into action towards a more... polite... approach and relaxing their grip on their subjects a wee bit. Essentially, they intend to gain a better reputation as Ciaran has managed to create a criminal empire that managed to wipe out the Black Sun, an organisation that has existed for millenia, in the span of two decades instead of centuries, so her approach to business HAS to be good. The fact that people abruptly stopped disregarding his own style of command as 'weak' was just an added bonus.

Still, it now just means being able to look down on the Coruscanti from a luxurious palace and gobling down food all day... unless Gulan tries to outbrag him again. Which he tries to do. All the time. At least once per month. The angry face of the Bothan never fails to entertain.

Honestly, he has to admit that he still owes Ciaran a great debt for everything she has done for them... and utterly ruining a few Sith sounds like a interesting experience anyway. After all, trying to step into the spotlight and wanting to rule the galaxy is definitely less wise than staying in the shadows, owning the galaxy from there and having fun doing it.

Now... more food! OM NOM NOM NOM~
