Matter of Faith (BTVS / OC)

So now that I'm thinking of our future bike...
I think that if this is what'll be our equivalent of a steed, it could possibly also become quiet?
Like, supernaturally so.
It seems like something the Light would set up, so no one can figure out when we're coming for them.

Did we get our book back yet? I can't recall.
We've gotten the book back, yeah.
Speaking of which, as we could commune with the light when we've got the book... we might want to consider doing that some more in the future?

So, got an idea.

Bolas.

We should see if we can get some for Faith as an emergency weapons. If a vamp is coming at her and she doesn't have the time to reload her crossbow and fire another shot she can pull some Bolas out and try to trip up the vampire. Even better if they are holy Bolas. Also might be useful if we are fighting some big bad who has either tough skin or regeneration so the Crossbow Bolts aren't working.

My God. Holy Bolas, try taking those off before you lose your leg!

It's not like blessing something makes the item stronger. You're still using string to try and hold back a vampire's strength. Wouldn't be surprised if they tore it like tissue paper depending on the materials we use. And I doubt we can get any of the hardier materials.

Besides, aren't bolas actually tricky to use? What with the wind up and all. Don't really see it possible to use when a vampire is already in your face.

IF we really want to give faith a good self defense weapon without worrying about cost... Blessed buckshot.

steel wire or thin cable can be found in any hardware store.

Well, no. That's my point. Even if we could get materials that Vampire's can't just rip apart. *exactly how strong are vampires anyway? Just know they're much stronger than humans.* I'm not sure a person can actually use a Bola when the Vampire is right in your face. It looks more useful to trip up fleeing enemies because of the needed wind up and flick.

Well Bolas are primarily ambush weapons, yes I know vampires are hard to sneak up on, but not impossible. Besides it's not like we're saying we're only going into fights with bola, they're pretty easy to carry around, and are light weight to boot. Widening our armament is never a bad thing.

Heh, considering the enhanced senses thing. Probably a lot harder to sneak up on. And I'm not talking about ambushing *though a sniper shot with the crossbow seems like a better idea rather than just tripping the enemy up*.

While it's true widening our armament isn't a bad thing.
It seems people want to use it to prevent the enemy from beelining Faith, and the Bolas don't seem suitable for that.

Well it's better than a lot of other options, if they're blessed they'll do a lot more than trip them up. I also figured that Faith would be the one to use them considering how she's our ranged support. Bit of a change of subject, do Slayers get sneakier when they actually become Slayers?

Actually, considering people want to use it to protect faith. *Since we don't really care if the enemy goes for us. Hell, we want them to go for us*. It might be better for Astral to carry the bolas since he actually has time to do the wind up and flick. Since the enemy would be moving away from us rather than towards us.

*Though, thinking about it. We might not even need to make bolas if we level*
8) Summon weapons (Spell 1 MP) - Summon weapons of light
8+) Insubstantial weapons can be summoned. They may be thrown to do (Presence) Damage
*Then again, we're probably going to use this to throw hammers/swords at people*

I did kind of like the pepper spray Idea though for Faith. Get some water, bless it, then add a high pressure spray nozzle on it and it's good to go.
Edit: Either that, or give her a blessed dagger.

Well if we wanted to be stupid we could always make a Ghetto Holy Hand Genade, also known as Holy Water in a Dry Ice Bomb.

Guys, if we want the holy item to stick to the vampires then just use Holy duct tape, or bless a bunch of Paintballs and give Faith a Holy paintball firing paintball gun; it'd be like holy water, but as an actually useful projectile!

Most ressurections in Buffy have restrictions / issues. Plus actually ressing someone dead a long time is pretty mean. Your's has a time limit of roughly an hour. As far as spells go it's not that notable. About the only thing notable is the speed and ease you can do it.
What happens if we rez a recently turned vampire?

[X] Socialize with dad and work on the bike
[X] Train Vitality to blow off some steam (recover from Stress)
I'm pretty sure now we are just adding "holy" in front of stuff, do we sweep the ash wit holy broom as well?
Also
You'd say it's almost fifty extra pounds of armor,
Fifty+pound of armor when distributed? A high medieval mortal metal forged full plate weight 55 pound on the high end, and 35 pound on the low end, a knight is still agile and can even jump around in that shit. I expect something forged from light by supernatural power to be much better on the weight end, because it doesn't seem to make us invulnerable. What, is this thing 90% lead and rated against nuclear holocaust>
