Matter of Faith (BTVS / OC)

3) Champion (Skill) - Increases Charisma by 2 when in battle

7) Divine Vitality (Skill) - Increases Vitality by 2. This does not count towards your cap.

6) Soul of Light - Increases Presence by 2. This does not count towards your cap.
Also Mind modifying it or explaining why these skills are good. Cause it doesn't look all that helpful really

Not sure what to do with the request...
It seems like the best is to continue, but as we already did that before, would Faith see it as us disliking her?

[X] Skill Point: Blessing of Might
[X] Secondary Points: Dexterity
[X] Secondary Point: Mentality

We should continue to hunt down extra vamps for the bonus, how much did we get? three?
Do we count the ones Faith dealt with?

...Speaking of which, once Faith becomes a Slayer, she's gonna be pretty elite, given the training she's already getting.

[X] Skill Point: Blessing of Might
[X] Secondary Points: Willpower
[X] Secondary Point: Mentality

That would leave all our stats at 8 except Charisma (7) and Vitality (13). Which is just below the point where the DC for raising it jumps from 25 to 50. Gives us a better chance of getting the +2 gain and jumping straight to 10...if I'm understanding the system right of course.

I was slightly surprised to realise that we're actually really close to reaching out cap in Mentality and Vitality. Actually, if this vote goes through, we'll have capped Mentality for now.

Hm, I wonder if maybe we can use our skills to find some who could be workable for recruitment into the Light?
We can find demons and vampires now, being a paladin might help us also figure out those who could follow the Light?

Also, uh, going either along with no words or saying not interested are both pretty bad ways of doing this.

[X] Kick and spread the dust and ashes around, leave no traces of the vampire corpses.
-[X] Bring Faith to a safe location, don't let her go back to the club for today. If she insists, satisfy her needs.

At this point, it feels like we are needlessly rejecting her.

Eurgh, I'd feel better if we focused on progressing towards getting Divine Sanction since we're probably going to be sticking with Faith for a while.

She's too squishy and in 2 out of 2 fights she's been almost killed. A cheap taunt skill would be pretty damn useful, definitely would've came in handy in the hostage situation that was just averted by bolt to the face.

I'm also not certain I'm comfortable with how her adrenaline junkie attitude combined with instant healing/resurrection may lead to her becoming even more reckless or otherwise mentally unhinged.

Problem with Divine Sanction being that it only works on a single enemy, but also forces them to focus entirely on us. Blessing of Salvation on the other hand works on multiple enemies, but only makes them ignore a single ally. In our current situation, Blessing of Salvation seems more useful...and that line of skills includes all the shiny combat skills for extra damage.

@Lost Star
How fast is it to switch out skills?
Because Cleanse doesn't seem to be useful to keep around permanently.

Pretty quick and painless learning them. Re-learning them will take an action.

Also Mind modifying it or explaining why these skills are good. Cause it doesn't look all that helpful really
They stack with everything else, and are permanent no-cost skills that can be upgraded that breaks your normal caps. Also you could consider the Cha skill a +2 buff to all allies in range. I will upgrade that a bit though.

Can't argue against it, but I feel like it's going to come back and bite us in the ass if Astral and Faith go up against something that can see through Divine Sanction. The skill would be ridiculously OP if it can be successfully cast every time.

Might just be too used to playing tanks and screaming at people to hit me :V

I won't lie, I'm looking forward to her becoming a Slayer so we won't have to worry quite so much.

The adrenaline junkie making her unbalanced, though...
Would that really happen, given she regularly hangs out in the Light-blessed place we've set up?

Mm, not good...
Taking an action doesn't work in the middle of combat, I take it?

You can't switch skills in combat. :p I mean action in general.
Yeah, it's why this isn't practical - but dammit, Cleanse is useless most of the time and just takes up room that could go to far more important skills.
When we'd need it we'd really need it, but otherwise it's such a waste.

Also, added something for Champion. You all might like it.
Hm, spending willpower to shield allies?
Yeah, it's good, after we get some of the skills in Unyielding Light I'll go with getting that.
Would hopefully give us a chance to increase our willpower some more first.

[X] Head Poke! "You want to go grab breakfast?"
[X] Skill Point: Champion

I want Champion because down that path are things we can use to help our allies not get ganked because they don't have bullet-proof armor, and, ultimately, Invulnerability, and the way things are going we're probably going to need that for the boss fight. It also has Consecrate, and I really want to see a vampire's face when it realizes that we literally just made the area that we were fighting in holy ground. I mean, you saw their reactions to the holy crossbow bolts, right? Imagine how incredulous they'll be when it's the entire building we're in.

I'll go for that idea.

[X] Politely deny her offer; (I'm pretty sure that we can figure out a way of saying no that won't hurt her feelings, but we won't be much of a paladin if we just stop doing what we think is right at the drop of her pants a hat)
[X] Skill Point: Champion
[X] Secondary Points: Willpower

Wait you mean we're like a wizard and and change out our skills? Do level ups continue? IE if we buff champion but traded out is it relearned buffed? Also Faith. Is it still too early. Life saving and all.[X] Skill Point: Champion

No, look.
We need to go down Unyielding Light, it's got Blessing of Salvation if we want Faith to be safe.
We're never going to do that if we keep getting distracted like this.
