The Rent Is Due.

You woke up in the morning, feeling just fantastic. And by that, you meant you were hungover and tired. Just another morning after a day on the job. You rolled out of bed, landing on your face before clambering to your feet. Stumbling into action, you walked to the bathroom, and got ready to face the first challenge, standing upright in the shower, and somehow managing to clean yourself in the dark. Electricity was expensive, you could see fine in the dark anyway.

You climb out, and stare at your pale self in the mirror, your shaggy black hair and dark eyes glaring back at you. Popping your right eye out, you open it up, and re-fill it with water, before putting back into your skull. It whirs and spins, adjusting itself repeatedly before coming to a stop with a faint hiss. Your right eye is now a sky blue, and your vision is much better than it was before.

Groaning, you return to your bedroom, and dress yourself, slipping on the baggy black hoodie, and pulling up the black camo cargo pants. Rolling up the sleeves, you slip on your gloves, before walking into the main part of your small apartment, the kitchen/living room.

You hear a knock on the door, before a slip of paper is slid under it. You stare at the paper, before your eye zooms in on it, revealing the writing on it.

Rent is due, pay by friday. - Bill

Your eyebrow twitches. You hate paying rent. You could just kill the bastard, but someone else would get hired, and they might be a total asshole, and buying the whole building out rather than just the top floor is just too damn expensive right now. But you can dream. And do your job.

You open the fridge, pulling out a bottle of vodka, and kick back on your couch, turning on the news, taking a swig straight from the bottle. Alcohol no longer has an effect on you, but at least you can enjoy the taste. The news covers the general stuff, but thankfully you don't have to pay more to watch it. Damn informants are so expensive.

What News are you watching?

Turning to the local news channel, you stared at the screen. Nothing important had come up yet, but there were mentions of young girls being found dead in random places, with no real sign of actual injuries on them. Weird, but nothing to concern yourself with. But this next part perked your interest.

"-Local Yakuza Gang makes an example of a family in the South District, more at 11."

Oh, really now? Yakuza always have the money you want, and maybe you can snatch some good stuff for your fence. Time to hit the streets and see what you can dig up.

----Mitakihara, South District----

Finally narrowing down the location of the Yakuza supply stashes was easy. A shipment had just come in, and you spotted the gangsters moving it into a compound. Security wasn't very tight, but those guards were packing major heat. Lotta guns, and all of them would be loud. If one of them pulled the trigger, everyone in the neighborhood would hear it. No cameras, so you wouldn't have to bring special equipment. Of course, you wouldn't find a lot of money in a supply stash, instead you would be grabbing loot for your fence. Low risk, low pay, but you could at least pay rent on time.

However, there was also a large mansion nearby, with lots of traffic going in and out. Listening in on the conversations, you discovered that this is where most of the payroll is kept for the South District. Plenty of money there, you could tell. The men were delayed on payment today, apparently they were still sorting the money and checking finances. This was the perfect chance to haul a big score. The security was more impressive than the warehouse, with various guards on rotating shifts, and cameras at important locations. You would have to reach the camera guard and disable them before being able to access the vault. Guards were holding silenced weapons, pistols and machine pistols mostly. There were also some fancy decorations you could snatch for the fence as well. Bigger risk, better payday.

What were you going to do?

[] Hit the Supply Stash - Low Risk, but not a lot of money

[] Steal the Yakuza Payroll - High risk, but lots of money.

[X] Hit the Supply Stash - Low Risk, but not a lot of money

Not particularly ambitious but a good option for getting a feel on how the quest is going to play.

Well now.

A Thief... PMMM cross?

That's
certainly a new one.

Mission Start - Yakuza Raid
Mission Start - Yakuza Raid

The compound is thankfully surrounded by large buildings, and so you find yourself on the roof of one of one such building. It is about 9:00 PM, and the sun has gone down. Your eye whirs into action, and you survey the building. Security is the same as before. Three grunts are sitting at the front entrance. The metal fence surrounding the compound is regularly walked by two other grunts. Currently they are on the other side opposite from you. Three large buildings cover the majority of the compound. One is a office building, only one story, and you can see the lights are on. Five grunts are drinking coffee and talking inside, as you can see from the window. Various weapons are located around the room.
The other two are warehouses. One is smaller than the other. The smaller warehouse has a back entrance that you can clearly see is unguarded, having an electronic lock. The lock isn't a problem for you, but your point of view prevents you from seeing the front. The windows in the back show various crates inside. Doesn't seem like there are any guards inside the small warehouse. The larger warehouse is across the compound from you, and has several guards posted around it. Enough Surveillance, Time to rob 'em blind.

Firearms And Random Encounters.

You jump off the building, leaping over the fence and landing silently on the other side. The small warehouse is directly in front of you. Walking up to the building, you place your right palm against the electronic lock, and channel power into the lock. An illusion of being unlocked opens the door, and you open the door cautiously. As you thought, no one was inside the building. But why would they put an electronic lock on the backdoor yet not guard the inside? This is starting to get interesting. Clenching your fists, you extend your power once more, forming a crowbar. Picking a crate, you waltz over to it, before prying it open.

Holy Shit. That is a lot of guns. Assault Rifles from out of the country. Opening another crate, you find a whole load of explosives. It seems you had stumbled across a treasure trove of weaponry. Not that you could use it. Guns weren't your style, unless they were silenced. Going around and checking all the crates, you discover more weapons, but that is about it. Enough weapons in this place to stage a small revolution. Opening up your special bag, you prepare to loot the whole place. At least, that was the plan, when suddenly a feeling of wrongness stretches across your body, and the world shifts and changes. Where there was once a small warehouse with a whole lot of guns, there was now a gray corridor stretching out in front of you, before splitting into three paths.

What the hell is this shit? You certainly didn't create an illusion like this, and even if you did, you wouldn't use it on yourself. Metal clanking echoes from the right path, and you sheath yourself in darkness of the poorly lit corridor. What looks like a metal knight comes clanking around the corner, slowly moving towards your position. It hadn't seen you yet, but it would soon. As such, you form your mechanical bow, and a single arrow. The arrowhead was colored green.

Letting it go, you nail the knight in the head with the arrow, piercing it with ease. Acid bursts from the arrow, melting the metal. The knight was dead before it hit the ground, and faded away into dark mist. You slink forward, and look down each path. Nothing seems to stand out about each of them.

[] Go down the right path
[] Walk the middle road
[] Its about time you left.

Who Are You?
Who Are You?

You calmly walk down the middle corridor, bow at the ready. You hear what sounds like gun fire coming from further down the corridor, and moved quicker. The corridor twists and turns, before emptying out into a large room where several metal knights are currently trying to dismember a young girl with black hair and a red ribbon, who is dressed rather strangely. But hey, you dress up in black and rob people for a living, who are you to judge? She seems to be handling herself rather well, dodging out of their attacks and shooting them. Unfortunately, her small guns are incapable of getting through their armor plating. Readying another acid arrow, you take aim, and nail a knight in the back of the head, the acid making short work of it. The other knights turned to look in the direction of where the arrow came from, but didn't see you.

Meanwhile, the girl's shield suddenly glows with the signs of magic, and suddenly she is right next to you, and the knights are surrounded by grenades. Said grenades explode violently. Talk about overkill. The girl has a gun to your head. Not the first time you have had a gun to your head, and so you don't flinch, but instead form an illusion of yourself still in the same spot, before getting up and hiding behind the girl, leveling an actual arrow at the back of her skull.

"You know, most people don't hold guns to other people heads for no reason." The girl doesn't see through your illusion, and talks to it.

"Who are you?"
