Research rolls for MS8:
On Feb 14, Kagome tells Hazō that he's almost done with MS8, and that Hazō can wait on Kagome to finish if he wants to benefit from Kagome's notes. Hazō elects to go ahead and Kagome will help him whenever Kagome is finished.

Hazō (Sealing): 50 + 24 (SSA) - 3 = 71
Hazō (Calligraphy): 42 + 12 = 56
Research rolls for CATEARS:
Hazō is quite confident in his ability (possibly overconfident), and will just yolo no-prep it.
Hazō (Sealing): 50 + 3 = 53
Hazō (Calligraphy): 42 + 12 = 56

Looks like there were arithmetic mistakes in these two rolls. Both Callig rolls should be 54
Modify the resultant seal to periodically send sensory constructs through (chakrascope or MS8-based), providing readouts on the seal kept outside of the rift.
  1. Tentatively, this will collect readings on chakra flow relevant to determine whether the Fox-tenketsu plan will work, and if so what will be necessary to achieve it.
  2. If you want it to collect other relevant readings (e.g. to asses whether the rift can be moved), you'll need to select those reading before starting this seal.
Is simply saying that we want to check if the Rift can be moved enough? I feel like we're increasingly in over our heads re: what is and isn't possible with these MS seals and interacting with the rift.

Accelerator Seal (Proof of Concept)
This seal continually accelerates any objects within its area of effect at a rate of approximately 1m/s^2 in a specific direction parallel to the plane of the seal. The area of effect is a 3-dimensional region adjacent to the seal, perhaps approximately a cube with 5cm edges.

(If the QMs allow this at all, version 3 or 4 or whatever of this seal will let us build real honest-to-Jashin railguns.)

Sadly, CAPS is Jaraiya-level difficulty.

Fortunetly, substitution seals will work just as well, if we can make a version that has less range, but replaces the strict "line of sight" requirement with "an unobstructed simple curve".

We then stack one set of rocket boots and a bunch of substitution seals on our feet.
After each RB activation use, CATEARS-activated substitution scrolls to substitute in a new pair of RB seals.

Alright @Sir Stompy, what did I overlook this time?
The jiraiya substitution seals fill the exact same function, so really no worries.

We need CATEARS as well.

The way it works is active seal is a RB on the very bottom of the stack, closest to the ground. Then each seal on the way to the foot is a substitution seal hooked up to a Mars and RB combo.

Pulse chakra Adhesion, instantly swap the substitution seal on the foot with desired seal out of a chaos pocket. None of the sub seals activate off chakra Adhesion, so that doesn't matter.

The Gōketsu ninja definitely favored Honoka, and for all the little girl's act of innocence, she definitely knew that acting cute got her all the attention she wanted.
Nothing wrong with that. She's the best
Well, not quite calm. Sasha was clearly excited, and she occasionally bounced a little in place before she restrained herself and forced herself to stand still.
*reads up numbers on the stat-o-meter* yup, that's also a very cute way to act!
Those who master the Basic Three will be tested first."

"The Basic Three?" Noburi asked, confused. "I thought it was the Academy Two."
Well of course you need to count the Eeby Deeby Technique
"In Leaf, they teach all three basic nonelemental ninjutsu in the Academy: Substitution, Clone, and the Dispelling technique."
Yes, that.
As always, the clans had ways to give their genin an edge over the clanless, who would only learn their element mere months from graduation. Only then could they start trying to find someone to teach them any ninjutsu.
Also an edge over whatever they'll encounter in missions outside Leaf, come to think of it. That's not bad thinking from them and that's basically what clans are for, we need to generalise it to everyone asap though.
"Are you ready?" Noburi asked.

"Yes, Lord Noburi," she said. "Did Lord Hazō make the seal?"

"The seal?" Noburi asked.
*Hazō hiding his Tabula Smaragdina seal* n-no, what is this "seal" you are talking of?
Hazō darted forward and dropped a pair of seals while Sasha still had her eyes closed, then Noburi released her hands. As she opened her eyes, a pair of firework seals triggered, shrouding her for a moment in a fountain of sparks. She stepped back, shielding her eyes against the harmless sparks.
And then she had this thought that only genin and Steve Urkel can have:
(I'm sorry)
Sasha shook her head, looking at the ground. "I don't know. I always wanted to be a ninjutsu specialist, and I was pretty good at Substitution and Clone, but I know the clan doesn't have lots of Fire Element users.
Well there's the library and there's also the ability to buy whatever...
That morning, Asuma's shadow clone had taken him to the quarries behind the Hokage Monument, where the already sparse iron veins had finally run dry. Hazō had expected the process of extracting any reasonable quantity of iron ore to take ages, but for some reason, he'd been able to manipulate the ore far, far easier than he'd been able to during his last tests on the Seventh Path.
Oooh, interesting! Maybe Cannai's soul in the ground blocked it - maybe Cannai felt the iron move even
At Asuma's request, he only pulled the purified ores to the surface rather than fully extracting them. This way, Asuma said, was fully legal. No civilian could alter the ore location, but mining them would be a violation of the Merchant Council's rules that Asuma was reluctant to do even in secret.
- isn't that cheating the rules as intended?
- ninja.
As an added bonus, the miners would keep their jobs instead of being obsoleted.
Miners might otherwise have been made redundant (because the mine is depleted), or made redundant (literally, because you don't need two iron extractors). That way there is no redundancy of any kind going on. Smart move.
given Earthshaping's destructive nature
The other two ES users in history: wait, what? Destructive?
Hazō tapped the storage seal with his rock collection and grabbed his graphite, taking a couple minutes to work his chakra into it. Yes, there was a trace of this feeling in the steel. Graphite and iron together made steel? It would make sense in a way – graphite was similar to coal which was similar to charcoal, and charcoal was burned to make iron and steel.
And right after I made the Tabula Smaragdina joke. Awarding myself a cookie for alchemy. An alchookie.
"Ah, yes. Indeed, your Earthshaping ninjutsu could perhaps do the same, if it's [bark]. I will anticipate the results."
Now I wonder if training with the gestalt field could help overcome that, or if it's something of the building blocks to reality and we can't bypass the hard block. Fun!
"Just like your chakra has a force to it when you manipulate a large amount at once, and just like your chakra has a finesse to it when you cast a delicate ninjutsu, it also has [bark], which [growl] your chakra when you [bark], though you obviously have no control over it."
Personal quiddity?
Hazō nodded. "I see. So the ninjutsu is a flexible, unrestrained use of chakra, and that's why it can do so many things."

Cannai stared flatly at Hazō. "No. The analogy to restraints was only an analogy.
Cannai: hey Hazō are you a bit thick-
Cannai panted in amusement. "No. Not unless you transform yourself into an animal and become the leader of a Seventh Path clan. If you elect to do so while pursuing the deeper mysteries of the Paths, I request that you pick a clan whose leader is already unpleasant. Perhaps you could be Cat. Or Pangolin
[><] ACTION PLAN BECOME A CATBOY WE HAVE PERMISSION AND EVEN REQUEST
"Before you go, Summoner," Cannai said, "I do want to commend you. The Dragons are the Seventh Path's problem first and foremost, but you dedicate yourself to fixing it, all while shouldering your clan's burdens simultaneously. It is not an easy task, but it is a task fit for a hero. That you need to undertake it so young is a tragedy, and that you are able to walk around as if you've had worse days is an achievement in its own right. Do not despair, Hazō. You will have the strength to overcome these burdens and rise beyond them, in time. Until that day comes, know that you continue to have my deepest gratitude for the work you've done to try to save my Path."
That is so heartwarming.
"Yep," Noburi said. "That's me. Another dead end."
SWEETIE BABY NO
Yes, this also means that Hazō can no longer turn granite into corundum.
The Grue: hey don't look at me, I'm as surprised as you are! Usually I get to eat something!
Hazō could instead make much more short-term money by traveling outside of Fire and crashing their gemstone markets. Asuma prefers that Hazō make the Hyūga deal as it has minimal economic implications, and it builds a Gōketsu-Hyūga relationship, but will give Hazō the trade data he needs to effectively ruin other country's gemstone markets if Hazō desires it.
I wonder how much we could damage an economy? Past the gemstones market I mean. That's a kind of covert war-retardant ace-in-the-hole a Kage could enjoy.
(invoke "Promising Sealing Student" lol)
We'll be promising sealing students again when we resurrect the Fourth!
Hazō is quite confident in his ability (possibly overconfident), and will just yolo no-prep it.
Sealmaster: YOLO
Ishimura Junior: Are you sure you live once?
Rock: It is very important that someone remember room 112 is empty. No one lives there.

Blend design elements from other clan compounds to represent the links to Leaf we have so far:
  • Uchiha, representing Hazou's ancestors.
  • Nara, representing Kei's marriage to Shikamaru.
  • Senju, representing Jiraiya's teammate (and Noburi's maybe-apprenticeship, but that's still early days).
  • Orochimaru's compound (he might feel slighted if we ref Tsunade but not him).
  • Sarutobi, representing Jiraiya's sensei.
  • Yamanaka, representing Hazou/Akane's relationship with Ino.
  • Aburame, representing our business relationship.
  • Hyuuga, representing our business relationship.
Most of these strike me as pretty transparently pandering (given Hazoupilot's actual feelings) and not likely to endear us to people. You want your pandering to be at least plausibly deniable. If Mari thinks it's fine, then I'd be fine with it I guess.

Real-life waterslides depend on water pumps. How are you going to achieve this?

Decorate with huge dragon skeleton carving.
A completely fictional depiction of a dragon skeleton because the real one got eaten by its fellows before we were able to get a good look at it?

Clinic/Mental Health Offices
I don't think professional therapists really exist in this setting (excepting perhaps extremely expensive social-spec ninja) so I'm not sure how you imagine this working.

ES relief carvings that resemble 2D/3D sealing on surfaces to hide real seals in the noise.
We don't actually know exactly what 3D seals will look like yet, and normal seals are made of paper and ink, so we can't hide them among stone carvings.

Subterranean complex.
  • Civilian evac shelters.
What is your threat model here? What do you imagine this protecting them from? I can't think of any scenarios where civilians, in Leaf, are in danger, it isn't a good idea for them to just run away, and shelters actually protect them from whatever the threat is (probably a hostile ninja).

tbh that part is the main reason i like the plan

for the record i want to say paper said this was a good idea/nice touch, not positive on that tho. Something about sealing failures given that we always have thousands of seals on our estate

think there was an in-universe chapter abt this, basically the older folks who feel they can't contribute to society anymore took on this role or something like that

Real-life waterslides depend on water pumps. How are you going to achieve this?
I agree with this though. Also just a little too goofy :V

...Because the transparent pandering is a flex on people?

(Also, regardless of how the people pandered to will feel about it, this is going to be the clan's home, long-term. I would like for it to be, architecturally, more than an elaborate exercise in pandering to other clans. That's bad symbolism, and it feels bad for all the people living there.)

for the record i want to say paper said this was a good idea/nice touch, not positive on that tho. Something about sealing failures given that we always have thousands of seals on our estate
Let me guess, he said it on discord?

IIRC one of Kagome's primary recommendations for responding to sealing failures is to run away as fast as possible. Sheltering in place does not seem like a good idea, particularly since we don't actually have a way to build shelters that defend against the esoteric and unpredictable effects of sealing failures. If sealing failures are that much of a concern (and maybe they should be) we should just require all research to be conducted outside the walls of Leaf, the way we used to do it.

With eight seals in the jinchūriki chain completed (and without a single sealing failure as a result!), Hazō and Kagome still do not think they have the ability to research the ninth or tenth seals. Specifically, the research notes for the ninth seal are exceptionally long and complex, and they are drenched in a strange jargon that Asuma told Hazō is specific to technique hackers and ninjutsu design.

At this point, Hazō and Kagome can tell that they're still describing an infusion procedure for some kind of seal, yet he cannot follow the instructions provided between the ninjutsu jargon, random metaphors for life, and occasional religious sidebars in lieu of clear scribing instructions. Hazō thinks the ninth seal is describing a new kind of infusion procedure, the full details of which are elided for the tenth. If there is a code here to make the research process legible, Hazō and Kagome can't find it.
It seems like perhaps Hazou and Kagome could discuss these notes with a technique hacker. I'm imagining that they would decode the sealing parts and the hacker would decode the hacking bits, and everyone would try to explain things to one another and develop a shared understanding of what the notes are talking about.

@eaglejarl @Velorien @Paperclipped Does this seem to Hazou and Kagome like, hypothetically, it could be helpful? i.e. do they think perhaps the notes could be understood through a collaboration with a technique hacker, or that necessarily one person must possess all of the relevant expertise in order to understand the notes?

...Because the transparent pandering is a flex on people?
Not so much pandering as making an effort to respect the people who came before, whose ideals you respect, and/or who you feel connected to in some way or other. I especially like the allusion to Hazou's Uchiha ancestry

Let me guess, he said it on discord?
No

IIRC one of Kagome's primary recommendations for responding to sealing failures is to run away as fast as possible.
Depends on the failure, but that's why you have sealmasters on site. For some failures, you can't run away fast enough, you can only get to shelter.

If sealing failures are that much of a concern (and maybe they should be) we should just require all research to be conducted outside the walls of Leaf, the way we used to do it.
We do already, now. But we still have thousands of infused seals on our estate that can fail

Ask Noburi if Ma and Pa can teach Hazo TH.
Begin learning THing [link to chapter where Asuma says the Tower would pay for it]
Based on these plans, and discussion on discord, it looks like learning Technique Hacking is fairly popular right now. And I gotta ask... why? Like, I definitely want to learn TH eventually, but now is a pretty terrible time to invest XP in yet another research skill, when Hazou already has to learn PS, and is behind on combat, socials, and calligraphy, not to mention the time commitment of a TH apprenticeship prevents us from doing a lot of other things. And for what? We don't need it for the Great Seal, we don't need it for necromancy—or at least, it doesn't right now look like we need it for those things. The only thing currently locked behind TH is MS9 and above. Which would eventually let us create jinchuuriki seals and a bunch of other cool shit we don't need anytime soon, but we don't need anything past MS8 for any of our other current projects. This definitely seems like a post-necromancy, post-GS thing to me, and unless there was discussion I completely missed (if it took place on discord, this is likely), I don't think proponents of learning TH now have sufficiently justified their position.

I am ENERGIZED tonight, so I'm nitpicking everyone's plans.

Offer: Firework Seal and Bubble Seal from the conclave
These seem like kinda crappy seals to me? I don't know if he would take it, might want to give Hazoupilot more leverage to make a better offer. Maybe offer him money, because we have a lot of that.

Remind him we care, and that we'll always help him out if he needs it, politics be damned.
Mari's three least favorite words to come out of Hazou's mouth lmao. It's probably fine to say this, but it does make me a little nervous.

Encourage Sasha to surrender control of her sheet to ROTP.
Encourage Sasha to surrender control of her sheet to ROTP.
Encourage Sasha to surrender control of her sheet to Hazou
Seems a bit premature as she hasn't graduated the academy yet. Also, she's inevitably going to ask who 'ROTP' is.

Goketsu sealmasters learn genin Isan seals to add to the Goketsu toolkit. Mandate full research prep.
All the genin Isan seals.
Genin seals from Jiraiya. Unknown genin Isanese seals
The trouble with this is that the QMs would need to actually decide what the Isan seals are and stat them out, and I think their time/creative energy is probably better spent elsewhere for now. (My heart yearns for the Tower seal library...)

Can you begin researching the teketsu opening surgery?
  • Suggest experimenting on common Chakra beasts
  • Consult with Dr. Yakushi?
IIRC the QMs said tenketsu opening would mainly be gated on Noburi's MedNin skill, and that practice would provide some bonus, but (I don't remember how much this was stated directly versus me reading between the lines) he will still need to level MedNin. So, practice/research might help, but it might not be enough in time such that he can do the surgery instead of Tsunade.

Request bodyguard summons for Kagome/Hazo.
When Hazou is in danger, Kagome is usually not nearby, and I'd be surprised if Kagome had the chakra to summon anyone who could meaningfully make Kagome more secure, given that he spends all his time in Leaf or heavily protected by the rest of the clan on rare missions.

Mites for long distance travel?
I have no idea what you're talking about here, but I'm intrigued.

Remind him Hazou will always help him out if he really needs it, politics be damned.
You want to offer unconditional support to... the Hokage? What?

Compound construction (all fine offscreen)
This should be in a separate plan.

CCnJ: My opinions are not exclusively negative. All of these plans included some elements I liked, which I don't mention here because I think negative feedback is usually more important (and I'm lazy). If a plan is popular and I think it has flaws, I want to convince the author to repair those flaws, or to convince other people to vote for something else. If a plan is unpopular and I think it has flaws, I think it's in some ways more respectful to explain why I don't like it than to silently ignore it. When a plan has things I like, I will usually steal them for my own plan and/or suggest them for other plans, so I usually don't consider it necessary to articulate or explain my positive opinions in the same way. However, if anyone wants me to give them the positive feedback I haven't given them here, I am perfectly willing to do so.

These seem like kinda crappy seals to me? I don't know if he would take it, might want to give Hazoupilot more leverage to make a better offer. Maybe offer him money, because we have a lot of that.
They're genin seals that are meant to provide a base for Researching better stuff, same as the Cold seal. As for money, the Hagoromo are a Clan, and Clans tend to be wealthy enough that it wouldn't interest Harumitsu...
The trouble with this is that the QMs would need to actually decide what the Isan seals are and stat them out, and I think their time/creative energy is probably better spent elsewhere for now. (My heart yearns for the Tower seal library...)
We've had them for a while, and the description within the chapter seems to imply that they've already been created.

Updated, will likely be AFK for the next 10 to 12 hours (as of posting this), so ping me for requested changes. On content right now, will work on word count later on.

[X] Action Plan: Bonding, Cold Seals, and Medical Notes
Words: tbd
Timeline: Bandit clearing + 1 research cycle
  • With Noburi, go directly to Asuma directly and take a couple bandit clearing missions.
    • Summon low-cost Dogs for tracking
    • Talk with Nobs during the mission
      • Would you be willing to take a break from the Hospital to read both lootboxes? Do you currently have enough time to read one set of notes? (If so: Mednin)
      • Can you begin researching the teketsu opening surgery?
        • Suggest experimenting on common Chakra beasts
  • Harumitsu
    • Hang out, discuss Sealing theory, enjoy company. Ask after his welfare
    • Trade for Harumitsu's Cold Seal. It's useful, we have ideas, he's a solid sealmaster. Wider Tech base means more veterancy. More veterancy means more safety. More safety means more survivability.
      • Offer: Firework Seal and Bubble Seal from the conclave.
    • Remind him we care, and that we'll always help him out if he needs it (Sealing or otherwise), politics be damned.
  • Offscreen
    • Encourage Sasha to surrender control of her sheet to Hazou.
    • Begin learning THing [link to chapter where Asuma says the Tower would pay for it]
    • Noburi
      • Would you be willing to take a break from the Hospital to read both lootboxes? Do you have enough time to read one set of notes, with your current responsibilities? (If so: Mednin)
      • Test to see if storing an item sterilizes it (Spirits are sorta alive?)
      • Would Arachnid Silk Bandages be an improvement on regular bandages? If so, donate a bunch. We can take a temporary loss on the Silk Trade.
  • Sealing
    • Prime SSA: MS8 Latching derivative.
    • SC SSA: Reusable Rocket Boots
      • Six uses.
      • Boost bonus, then additional uses until challenges stagnation.
    • Non-SSA SC: Dampener seal. Cold seal.
      • Abort any seal if it seems difficult at all, do not risk sealing failures
    • Goketsu sealmasters learn Jiraiya and Isan's genin seals to add to the Goketsu toolkit. Mandate full research prep.

We've had them for a while, and the description within the chapter seems to imply that they've already been created.
takes another look at the chapter:

Kazushi also observes that the seals Hazō reproduces from the Yoshida to be derived from an oddly homogenous sealing tradition. Hazō managed to copy seven seal designs total – one of which Kazushi identifies as an explosive seal, and the other two Kazushi identifies as variants on a storage seal. Of the remaining four, Kazushi thinks they're probably all genin-level.
Yeah I don't know where you're getting that implication. @Paperclipped any comment on if the Isan seals have already been created?

[X] Action Plan: Mending Fences

I am kind of pessimistic about this plan succeeding in its goals for reasons that are hard to articulate, but I think it's worth a shot.

He wants her to decide for herself - not just doing what he says, or Hidan says.
Uhh if Yuno's inclination right now is to be a Jashinist, publically proclaim loyalty to Jashin, do massacres, etc. then I definitely do want her to do what Hazou says and not that. I assume you mean 'not just doing what Hazou says' in a narrower sense that does not condone her doing massacres or publicly worshipping Jashin, but you might want to find a better wording for that.

Hazo held one secret back during the war, and only because it's a national security risk.
  • He's reconsidering MARS access as it may have leaked with Akane's death.
  • But that's it. Nothing else.
This section is confusing to read. 'Hazo held one secret back during the war,'—that would be FOOM, right? I thought MARS was developed during the war as well. 'But that's it. Nothing else.'—Banshee Fuckers and Chakrascope are also currently restricted to the inner circle, and Pressure-Trigger Explosives to Hazou and Kagome, as per the OPSEC policy. You might also want to clarify that there are other secrets besides these, just not other secret jutsu or seals that would be useful in combat.

When we showed the TH notes to Asuma, a capable THer, he recognized the words but had no clue how they were to fit together, much like how the sealing notes were incomprehensible until Hazou found the key and decoded them. It's possible, an outside chance, that the key to deciphering the notes is knowing both sealing and THing, but I would personally bet on there being more decryption to do, somehow, somewhere, and we won't know what the jutsu stuff is trying to say until we figure that out.
Based on these plans, and discussion on discord, it looks like learning Technique Hacking is fairly popular right now. And I gotta ask... why? [...] We don't need it for the Great Seal, we don't need it for necromancy—or at least, it doesn't right now look like we need it for those things. The only thing currently locked behind TH is MS9 and above. [...]
Speaking as someone not particularly sold on picking up TH now, I think it's important to remember that MS8 gave us the on-ramp to necromancy pretty much by complete accident. Minato had no idea these seals would be used for this purpose, they just happened to be so flexible and useful that the fastest way to reach our goal was to use them. I'll also mention that we do not currently know if we have necromancy well in hand yet. We think we can mod MS8 to get the rift pinprick-open, and we think that if we find a way to feed a bijuu worth of chakra into the seal that it'll inflate the rift, but not only are those theories untested but we don't know how hard it will be to achieve them even if we're right.

Which is all to say, it's entirely plausible that the later Minato seals will be valuable for necromancy. It's not a given, of course, but that's why I'm not sold on pursuing TH now (as well as the part where we don't even know if learning TH will be sufficient to crack MS9). All I know is that I would be entirely unsurprised if, after hitting a roadblock somewhere in the necromancy train, the key to getting past it lay in MS9+, just as a byproduct of Minato doing crazy, innovative, and powerful things on his quest for a bijuu seal.

[X] Action Plan: Delegating Upwards
Word Count: 334 Words
  • Offscreen
    • Bandit clearing mission
      • Get mission from Asuma directly
      • Take Noburi
      • Sanity Check with Mari: can we do this discreetly without raising suspicions?
    • Ask Cannai and Kumokogo: Any convenient combat missions we could take? (to help remove stagnancy)
    • Noburi
      • Would he be willing to take break from Hospital to study one or both lootboxes?
        • If only one, prefer MedNin
      • Test if storage seals sterilize objects
      • Would Arachnid silk bandages be an improvement on regular bandages?
        • If so, donate a bunch to the hospital
    • Do purification rituals, attend religious sermons and festivals as necessary, be seen
      • Optimize with Mari
    • Attend clan head training with Asuma
      • Do this regularly from now on
  • Asuma
    • Optimize with Mari+Kei+Snowflake
    • Update him on our progress with PS
    • Chakra crystals from the cave in Honey are infusable
      • Could you TH a jutsu to generate infusable material or make stone infusable?
      • Might be worth assigning a mission to grab some
        • The cave-organism is a valuable source of data, we'd prefer it not be destroyed entirely
    • The Swamp of Death is also a highly chakra-rich environment, maybe something similar could be found there
      • Would you consider authorizing a mission?
    • We're close to unlocking PS, and we'd like to keep it secret from Orochimaru long enough to start exploring the field
      • We don't know how powerful it is, but it could make Orochimaru an existential threat in his own right. We want to make sure that's not true before we share our findings with him
      • In the end, it's your call
  • Harumitsu
    • Catch up, discuss sealing, ask after his welfare
    • Trade for Harumitsu's Cold Seal
      • Hazoupilot can offer genin-level seals (excepting Goo Bombs) and money
      • Optimize with Mari
    • Remind him we care, and he can ask for help if he needs it
  • Sealing
    • Use Hazoupilot's best judgement
      • Do not research everything if insufficient FP

      • Use Dampener to research
    • SC SSA: MS8 Latching Variant
    • SC: Dampener Seal, Substitution Seal

I'm not sure there's too much point in asking Noburi to stop working at the hospital, tbh. It'll be a couple months before we're in a position to even begin to need his skills for this.

[X] Action Plan: Delegating Upwards
Posting this because I wanted to see a plan that better reflected my preferences and sensibilities, particularly not doing a TH apprenticeship right now. I'd be willing to vote for most of the other plans on offer right now if they took out the TH apprenticeship. In fact...

  • Would you consider authorizing a mission?
I think a mission in the Swamp of Death would be a lot of fun, and a great chance for Noburi to show off, so I want to put out feelers for it. Just highlighting that.

And here's a version for people who really don't want to tell Asuma about PS.

[X] Action Plan: (Not) Delegating Upwards
Word Count: <300 Words

  • Offscreen
    • Bandit clearing mission
      • Get mission from Asuma directly
      • Take Noburi
      • Sanity Check with Mari: can we do this discreetly without raising suspicions?
    • Ask Cannai and Kumokogo: Any convenient combat missions we could take? (to help remove stagnancy)
    • Noburi
      • Would he be willing to take break from Hospital to study one or both lootboxes?
        • If only one, prefer MedNin
      • Test if storage seals sterilize objects
      • Would Arachnid silk bandages be an improvement on regular bandages?
        • If so, donate a bunch to the hospital
    • Do purification rituals, attend religious sermons and festivals as necessary, be seen
      • Optimize with Mari
    • Attend clan head training with Asuma
      • Do this regularly from now on
  • Harumitsu
    • Catch up, discuss sealing, ask after his welfare
    • Trade for Harumitsu's Cold Seal
      • Hazoupilot can offer genin-level seals (excepting Goo Bombs) and money
      • Optimize with Mari
    • Remind him we care, and he can ask for help if he needs it
  • Sealing
    • Use Hazoupilot's best judgement
      • Do not research everything if insufficient FP
    • Prime SSA: Reusable Rocket Boots
      • Six uses
      • Boost bonus, then additional uses until challenges stagnation
      • Use Dampener to research
    • SC SSA: MS8 Latching Variant
    • SC: Dampener Seal, Substitution Seal
