As far as I'm concerned the last we (Hazō) knows of Akane is that her scent ends at the ambushed campsite and planmaking should reflect that.

These are things we have to do because we were ordered or we need to look normal.

We can also draw reasonable albeit temporary or working conclusions based on the facts we know at the present moment. Not doing so would paralyze us. As long as we don't insist these conclusions surely must be an accurate reflection of reality, we're good.

Within the narrative, it's that Hazou knows Akane, Kei, and Noburi's skills intimately. They literally have no secrets from him (well, except Kei, who has told us what the Nara do, but will not outright give us the exact mechanics, due to Nara Clan Secrets). In the setting of Marked for Death, that is an insane amount of trust, especially considering that they also allow Hazou to direct their training and specializations.

It's noteworthy that Mari and Kagome have not given Hazou their character sheets, despite going through the same trials and tribulations with Hazou that Noburi, Kei, and Akane have.

I very much doubt we'll be getting any other character sheets soon. Maybe once Hazou is a badass veteran jonin, other Goketsu ninja will allow Hazou to direct their training under the reasoning "he's lived so long and become so badass, he knows what he's doing." As it stands now, all that people know (as evidenced by Shikamaru's comment) is that "Hazou has a knack for directing training."
 
Which would be more emotionally devastating:
{} Finding Akane in the afterlife and she has forgotten about Hazo entirely
{} Finding Akane alive and she wants to fight because she's been brainwashed to forget about Hazo entirely

They're trying to practice before the upcoming switch back to the AugJev system. They really miss working with fractions.

But in all seriousness, yeah it happens a lot. I don't have to scroll up far to see tons of other examples on her sheet.

Let's do some math, shall we?

For Hazou, who uses 18 training blocks and 6 clones, he needs 150+150 = 300 chakra base to work with (he has enough, barely, for this to work out with Noburi's help, as he can overcharge by 5% with no problems). In addiiton to that, he needs 300+18*80, or 1,740 chakra.

Kei uses 17 training blocks, but 7 clones (1 of which is the Designated Snowflake, and therefore does not do training blocks). Split between two casts, that's 150 chakra and 300 chakra, for a base cost of 450 CP, add in 17*80, for a total of 1,810 chakra.

Between the two, a total of 3,550 chakra. With a Koi Pond that provides us 1600 a day, that means we need to get 1,850 chakra from Leaf Genin, in addiition to that which Mari requires.

Leaf genin, I will assume, have an average of CR 15, or 150 chakra. If there are ~1200 genin, that's 180,000 chakra, putting us at using ~2% of the genin available. However, some additional portion of genin are likely crippled or otherwise not on active duty. I do not believe these genin are included in demographics, so they are beyond this analysis to prove; presumably, we go after these genin to drain first, so as not to harm Konoha's readiness otherwise.

We need, on average, 13 genins' worth of chakra per day (for Hazou and Kei, again ignoring Mari, who will likely add a substantial sum to the total).

Incidentally -- We can use this to determine how FOOM is going for Mari, because Hazou will know how many such mission are being purchased on the Gouketsu dime. From this, we can determine the likely value of her Resolve.

Could you estimate a range of what a jonin like Mari should be capable of with FOOM? That way the QM's don't have to do as much math from scratch.
 
Mari got SC 438 days ago. To get SC 40 would take 205 days at 4 XP per day. Assuming she has a resolve of 40 it's another 2400 XP to bring it to a new capstone. Her average FOOM multiplier should be around 1.8 during this period. That means it would have taken her around 214 days to level it. So she's probably just started moving to leveling up her other stats in the last month or so
 
Here you are! XP numbers are based on 15 years of 5 XP/day, as she was an elite jounin at a very young age, so I expect she's at the top of the "normal" ninja XP scale.

Obviously didn't put too much thought into it. There's almost certainly a few things I missed. But regardless, that puts her at the same numbers Akane was at, so something like +2.3X XP, or 18.5 XP a day, at a cost of ~2165 chakra.
 
inb4 Mari knew we'd try this and has, for the entire time she'd been using SC, asked for a static number of like 5000 CP every time.

Actually they are accounted for! At any given time, Leaf has about 60 genin that are crippled or otherwise not on active duty (roughly 5% of its genin population). We included them in the model because they have a dramatically higher life expectancy than active-duty genin, which means we need to treat them as a separate category.

If we take these 60 genin as each having CR 15, they would in total have 9000 CP to draw from. Whether they would all be amenable to taking chakra drain missions I can't say, but I wouldn't be surprised if we attracted a crowd of regulars over time. It's essentially free money, after all, and that demographic doesn't tend to have much in the way of moneymaking options.

Very well. So, until we exceed that threshold, the chakra we're buying probably will not attract attention.
