Just reposting my previous plan, don't mind me. Probably gonna make a change on the Lore section.

  • Asuma:
    • We have 2 objectives: killing Dragons, and repairing the Great Seal. We think the most valuable low-hanging fruit is... to involve AMITY. And the Akatsuki.
      • NB: Tread carefully; Akatsuki is a sensitive topic. Hazou IC can elect to talk in the context of AMITY in general.
      • Akatsuki contains S-rank Summoners (Itachi, Kisame) and a sealmaster (Sasori).
      • Several AMITY signatories also have Summoners, and have their own sealmasters.
      • Hazou doesn't know if they'll believe us, or just taking advantage of us. We lack the information to calculate the cost-benefit analysis.
      • But if there were a time for AMITY to be united in a goal, this would be it.
    • Other:
      • The Great Seal is a puzzle we only have a few pieces of: we need more lore. Records of the sage's works are fragmentary and scattered, but clans have long memories, in the EN, the Seventh Path, and maybe also the Eastern Continent.
      • A main obstacle to 3D Sealing is a lack of chakra-conductive material. Have you heard of anything?
      • Plans for edge-case scenarios: If a dragon escapes the Crusade and flies off for an indeterminate amount of time, or somehow makes it to the EN...It can't hurt to be prepared.
      • Borrowing a dragon part from Orochimaru for a Conclave demonstration. If he's showing up with Manda, he can display a part then.
    • Thank you for everything you're doing. You have patience for us despite our mistakes, and you took us seriously about the Dragons despite many other pressing matters.
  • Orochimaru:
    • Optimize with Mari, Kei, Noburi.
    • We think complying may be necessary. Can we try to mitigate OPSEC breaches?
    • Hazou can't think of much beyond requesting privacy, or bringing props to cross-reference. Thoughts?
    • Do what they suggest.

Yes. I believe in your ability to fit both into one plan. You can even take brevity penalties if you think it's necessary. However, my impression reviewing people's Asuma plans is that they're very far from wordcount-optimized.

Any plan tagged [Asuma] really really needs a section addressing the Oro scene. I highly encourage you to put one in.

I'd love to vote for this, but there's no Snuncle comment. I'm sacrificing the xp bounty, but some things are worth sacrifices

  • Optimize with Mari/Kei/Noburi/Other Summoners/Enma/Toad Sages. Perform necessary prep like gathering tributes.
  • Overall approach:
    • Only establishing positive relationships with trade representatives for now. No Dragon pitches yet, though don't hesitate to elaborate on them if asked.
    • Potential Conclave gift contributions:
      • Earthshaped jewels/statues, exotic Human foods/spices, books, silk tapestries/other Arachnid goods.
  • Pangolins
    • Present tribute (such as Driver Ants) to local most important Pangolins/Pangolin guilds first, thank them for graciously hosting Clans.
    • Make visit fairly public and let the bad blood show itself to prove Hazou isn't affiliated with the Pangolins, but don't alienate them. As the hosts, they're likely a strong influence on swaying neutral Clans.
  • Condor
    • Bring especially good tribute to local most important Condor/Condor guild (which may be a subset of a Pangolin guild.)
    • We must thread the needle and be apologetic for Condor oppression, politically neutrally enough not to make the Pangolins oppose us outright, but not so hollow that it means nothing to the Condors.
      • Possible approach: Don't speak on occupation directly but comment on Kumokogo's admiration of Conjura's legend, and her and Hazou looking forward to future collaboration with the Condor Clan (IE, not the Pangolin Clan controlling Condors.)
    • Real goal isn't to win over these particular Condors, but instead to impress Condor sympathizers so they give Hazou a chance.
  • Rats
    • After overtures to Pangolins/Condors, ideally Rats gain impression Pangolins dislike Hazou and that Hazou's making efforts to appease the Condors. Then, approach most influential Rat trade reps with advisor-suggested tributes.
    • Mention Hazou has heard their ideology in passing, and he wants to know more. Discuss Uplift and what Goketsu has accomplished so far. Ask Rats for opinions on how it could be improved.

I see my faith was not misplaced.

I think the Condor section is really good. I had concerns about earlier versions, but I really like this most recent one.
 
We should see if we can't pick up that plot thread with the Naraka Rollers. A group of pangolin that are clearly counterculture seems up Kei's alley...

And I find it doubtful, but the name may mean some lore there.

@Paperclipped, right now I'm finding it hard to write the Orochimaru section in any real detail because we have (IMO) little information. We have a week between now and actually creating the seal. In that time, I imagine we'd be able to send Kabuto a letter clarifying a few things, such as...
  1. How large Orochimaru wants the replica and some back-and-forth on what's feasible given our constraints (staying awake, chakra water poisoning).
  2. The negotiation of Noburi's availability.
  3. The space/materials we'll have available.
It would also be helpful to have some idea of what Orochimaru's 3D sealing theories feel like - is it over our head, are they filled with brilliant insights, do we have questions or corrections?

      • Have Noburi handle Tsunade.
    • Send a letter clarifying scale (1:3? 1:1?) and requesting raw materials. Offer to excavate and transport (wood frame, rollers) existing model - faster, no need to involve Tsunade.
    • Request privacy during construction: he's terrifying. Must concentrate. Bring notes, sketches, references, use while shaping.
    • Pre/post, discuss his 3D sealing theories. Express (mutual) awe of 3D sealing. Discuss dragonslaying ideas/general approaches.

I'm gonna propose having someone vet Orochimaru's no-sleep bioseal, and then provide it to both Hazou and Asuma if it's gucci.

How would we vet it? Implant it on random person, works perfectly, Oro implants a slightly different bioseal on Hazō, takes over his brain. We'd need another biosealer to check, and if we had another biosealer we'd just ask them for one in the first place

Yes, correct, we'd need another biosealer.

I don't know if others exist in Konoha. But obviously if that's true, then we won't go through with it. But it's a pretty clear way to make more time to work on this, for both us and Asuma.

Okay, but can we come to a consensus on the Orochimaru thing? Some people want to tell him everything we know, others don't. Some are fine building the model for him, others are concerned he'll learn about our bloodline, and we'll already be in the basement. Some seem inclined to get Asuma to help deal with it or warn him, others don't seem to care. We could have a vote, but I want to try something that will last longer:

-Like this post to do everything Oro wants regarding the great seal, let's just go for it.
-Heart this post to try and get Asuma to help us avoid being in a situation where Oro discovers our bloodline.
-Informative this if you want to make a new 3D seal replica in public, and make an excuse why you're doing it that way (so other sealmasters can help, maybe? Or so we also have access to it?)
-Insightful react if you'd like to stall until we hit ES 50, and see what goodies we get (like Noburi being busy with Tsunade is an excellent excuse, stuff like that)
-Laugh react if you wanna do the XP for "No, we don't trust you Snucle, deal with it" challenge.

Asuma: Hazō, why did Orochimaru scream your name and then blow up a third of the Gōketsu estate? The resulting sealing failures killed three jōnin and still aren't fully under control.

Hazō: It wasn't me!

Welp, now I have the strangest urge to rewrite mid 2000s raps into mfd Minato style poetry

Also, I really like the idea of Minatos shitty poetry creating a small, abstract fanclub in the high tier Leaf sealmasters, if we ever share how to crack the code
