[X] Action Plan: The Ghosts of the Ancient Wings
Word Count: 298
  • Sanity check with Kei/Mari
  • Visit Archaeopteryx with Enma
    • Brief him on the gthsss
    • Aim to bring back (part of) a Dragon killed by the Archaeopteryx for the Conclave.
      • Don't mention this near Orochimaru/Hebiue
    • Bring Kagome
      • Ask Kumokugo for some escorts, especially any skilled at searching large areas, quickly.
    • Send contracted summons to travel with Enma
      • Hazou/Kagome will join the party near the coast of Archeopteryx.
    • Watch for gthsss attacking from above.
    • Camouflage the camp from aerial observation, and choose a defensible location with air attacks in mind.
    • Suggest contacting Sharks, they might know where the Dragons were dumped.
  • Optimize with Mari: Can Enma bring Arachnids to the Conclave?
    • Some mites have size-changing jutsu. They could ride along?
      • Approach the subject carefully, don't offend Enma.
    • Ask Enma how long his return journey will take
      • Hazou plans to arrive at the Conclave three weeks prior.
  • Team Uplift meeting
    • Check Ideas:
      • Establish trade with Naruto
        • Hazou/Kagome research Jiraiya's seals, giving Naruto a fixed amount every month
          • We can provide custom seals too
        • In exchange we're allowed to learn Jiraiya's jutsu, and receive copies of Minoto's notes pertaining to Technique Hacking and Sealing
      • Trade Orochimaru's jutsu to Ino
        • In exchange for a Resolve boosting jutsu, if such a thing exists
        • Offer seals as an alternative.
        • If asked, Hazou wants it to help him deal with Dragon/Out weirdness
    • Mari or Hazou will negotiate
      • Brainstorm negotiaton tactics
      • Be mindful of Hazou's personal relationship with Ino
  • Continue to work on Sealing on Human Path.
    • Multithread SCs when possible
    • For any new seal: do one prep day to assess
      • Research directional explosives, with Kagome assisting.
        • When finished, proceed to Rocket Boots
      • Research Darkness Seals if SSA is unnecessary to learn them
  • If he can't, research Macerators 4.0, or Banshee Lovers

[X] Noburi Training Plan: Support Stats for Medical Growth
Rapid Rejuvenation 0 -> 10 (-55xp)
Deceit 19 -> 20 (-20xp)
Resolve 28 -> 30 (-59)
Surging Seas 0 -> 10 (-27.5)
Mednin: 32 -> 35 (-102 Sannin XP)

XP Remaining 36
Sannin XP Remaining 27

I think that there is a better path than this for following Noburi's wishes to train Med skills and VD while leaving us the flexibility to make a move towards getting Sage Mode if we want to

Instead of establishing the bottom of his pyramid and then train Med Nin we start working at the top with Med Know. Rush that to 50 and then use apprenticeship XP to push Med Nin to at least 39. At this point we buy resolve 30 and can either push Med Nin to 40 or take a run at Sage Mode and get physique 40. Then we can keep using Tsunade XP to push med skills to get Med Nin 49 and Med know 59. At the same time we can either buy the bottom of the pyramid to get the requirements for either physique 40 or Med Nin 40 or we can start training VD towards 60.

This plan let's us get Med Know 50, physique 40, Med Nin 40, Resolve 30, Deceit 20, Stealth 20 and two new skills to ten in about 6 months

[X] Training Plan Noburi: Med Nin
Med Know 40 => 47 (126 Sannin XP + 182XP)
3 Sannin XP remaining
16 XP remaining

Edit: @RandomOTP should make sure to spend Yamanaka XP for resolve. It's only 11 XP but every little bit helps

I don't like the Surging Seas tbh, feels to me like there's some better 10's out there.
Sure, what do you have in mind? Ghost Scales is already at level 5, and might be a solid choice.

EDIT:

Funneled Noburi's Yamanaka XP to Resolve. It's not much, but it means that we're closer to raising up his next 20-stat

[X] Noburi Training Plan: Support Stats for Medical Growth
Rapid Rejuvenation 0 -> 10 (-55xp)
Deceit 19 -> 20 (-20xp)
Resolve 28 -> 30 (-11 Yamanaka XP, -48 General XP)
Surging Seas 0 -> 10 (-27.5)
Mednin: 32 -> 35 (-102 Sannin XP)

XP Remaining 47
Sannin XP Remaining 27

Plus the constant "Can Hazou create a basement where the Clan can FOOM in peace" a question we never resolved.
I'm pretty sure it is resolved. No, he can't, there is literally no way in which it can be made big enough and not get noticed.

"Should Akane restart FOOM"?
We really need to start 7th Path FOOMing already. Akane needs a Scroll and preferably for a Clan at the Conclave to refill (Otter, Rat are available. Hyena is close by, but they've got issues and we don't know where their scroll is.)

Instead of establishing the bottom of his pyramid and then train Med Nin we start working at the top with Med Know. Get that up to 50 and then push Med Nin to at least 39.
I did too much yesterday, so now I'm hella sick with an annoyingly persistent cold right now, so this'll need to be confirmed by someone else, but I don't think that's a valid pyramid. He'd be rocking 3 level 50 stats and 3 level 40 stats. My understanding was that if you had [N] number of skills at your capstone level, you needed [N+1] number of skills at your secondary levels.

"If your highest level skill has Aspect Bonus N, you must have at least 2 stats at AB N-1, 3 stats at AB N-2, and so on."

Alright, got the map updated relatively quickly this time, despite the difficulties the new information posed. Pay no mind to how Cat stretches from the north coast to the south coast and is shaped like two big ugly lumps.

There's honestly not a lot of room left for other clans anymore. We have five confirmed clans with no known location on the map, and only a couple spots where any of them might go. And I kinda doubt we've heard of every single clan by now, so I expect one or two more on top of that. Maybe there's another island down in the actual southwest? That could be nifty.

Could Hawk be part of Raptor? The same way someone may have called Arachnid 'Spider' erroneously?

Nahh you can have multiple capstones as long as each one is a column

VALID: 4x 60, 4x 50, 4x 40, 4x 30, 6x 20, 6x 10
Columns are still allowed, as long as a full pyramid is somewhere in there. Green means necessary stats, blue means not necessary stats.

Oh hell yeah. In that case, if you decide to funnel all his Sannin XP and then syphon from his general XP, he should have enough to Medknow 47 with something like 19-ish XP left.

Once he has Medknow 50, he'll have the pyramid support to have another 60. Could push Medknow all the way to 60, then work on pushing Mednin to 50.

Possibly. The name comes from the Sage's poem that we heard from Cannai, and it's possible that the name changed slightly over time, or that the Hawks rebranded themselves as the Raptors over time, or somesuch.
Unbounded you name me, yet bound am I
Wise One you name me, yet still I err
First Spinner you name me, and this I grant
I have spun your First Tale, my Great Tale
The Tale of Dog, and Cat, of Hawk, and Hornet.
Still though, in absence of more concrete evidence against the existence of Hawk, I'll continue to have them penciled down as 'stated to exist'.

The holy grail of seal safety, I would imagine, is a seal that can shut down other seals while they're operating, conditional on sensing certain behaviours. Set up properly, a seal that behaves in any way unexpectedly would simply be sapped of all its power or otherwise disabled and left unable to execute whatever instructions it's supposed to complete.
So, a Chakra EMP? Or something like Noburi's chakra drain, but a AOE to deenergize a seal?

Actually, wait. Does seal destruction necessarily trigger a failure? If we only had the sensing-failure part, could we just wire that to a explosive seal?

Though, hmm... that might not have the response time necessary, might leave time for exotic effects to emerge and become self-sustaining. It wouldn't work quite as well as something like a interrupt, though i guess strictly speaking you can't 'pause' a analog circuit to check conditions.

[X] Action Plan: The Ghosts of the Ancient Wings
Blah blah obligatory sanity-check with Kei et al blah blah.
Instead of traveling through Arachnid with Enma, send contracted summons so that Hazou and Kagome can join the party at the coast. Giving them more time to do Sealing research on the Human Path.
I express mild concern on this part, but this is just my wanting to spend more time with Enma and also wanting to make sure the Dog we send feels safe with someone in their pack/us.
They don't run as fast as human ninja, but some of the mites have size-changing jutsu, they could ride along.
  • "Apologies if this is beneath your dignity oh great Summon Boss"
I express moderate concern on this part, as Enma could very well take offense at the idea.

Again, sanity-check sanity-check sanity-check.

Sanity check implemented, mite question reworded.

I don't want to give up the research time to travel with Enma. We will be spending plenty of time with him once we get to the island.

@Sir Stompy Considering this plan is basically "Follow Enma", could we add a Mari section in which we launch Mari at the Yamanaka to see if they have the Resolve Boost Jutsu and trade it, or trade notes with Narutos, ect...?
Something like this:

  • Uplift
    • Like old times, you have a list, and you trust the rest of the family to sanity-check it.
    • Idea 2: Establish a Seal-Jutsu Exchange with Naruto
      • We research and give him Jiraiya's seals + fixed amount of seals every X time, he gives us Jiraiya's Jutsus/Other secrets(Access to Minato's notes) that he has
      • Establish a currency system so we can decide what/how much to trade? So we can "buy" jutsus/notes with seals and he can "buy" seals with jutsu/notes.
      • Alternatively, simply trade clans secrets.
    • Idea 3:Yamanaka Resolve Boosting Jutsu
      • Trade Orochimaru's Jutsus for a Yamanaka Resolve Boost Jutsu if it exists.
    • If the ideas pass the sanity check, prepare to execute them, if Mari is confident she doesn't need preparations and she can do it, execute them immediately
    • Unless Mari disagree let her take point and decide the strategy, as Leaf's best social best ninja.
We could also ask Mari to start developing a relationship with Ma and Pa, so that she can then propose TH for Akane in the future.

@Sir Stompy FWIW, you can earn my vote by adding a Mari section that has her going to Naruto and bargaining for Minato's TH notes. It can be as simple as "Mari, go see if Naruto's willing to sell us Minato's TH notes (or maybe access, if not selling outright), and what he wants in exchange. Suggestions: votes, Seals, Jutsu, etc."

[X] Action Plan: The Ghosts of the Ancient Wings

If Emma does bring some arachnids to the conclave, we should make sure Kagome has summoning contracts with them before Enma leaves.
