Wait, are you saying that there was an official statement or chapter in which the seal was grued out of Hazō's head, or that we forgot to move it to the correct section of the Known Seals document?
I can only guess as to the former, though I haven't seen any posted to the thread. Who knows what yall do in the quora ever since the password changed from KEIKEIKEIfanclub.

Probably a good idea though, man I got some weird looks when I told people that password.

I can also only guess as to the latter, as I unfortunately cannot model your internal state accurately enough to know if it was intentional or not. (No, I'm not being pouty because you neatly sidestepped "Yes", shuddup)

[X] Noburi Training Plan: Support Stats for Medical Growth
Rapid Rejuvenation 0 -> 10 (-55xp)
Deceit 19 -> 20 (-20xp)
Resolve 28 -> 30 (-59)
Surging Seas 0 -> 10 (-27.5)
Mednin: 32 -> 35 (-102 Sannin XP)

XP Remaining 35.5
Sannin XP Remaining 30

Okay, Noburi had 126 Sannin XP at the end of Chapter 580, and this most recent update was 2 days long. At a rate of 3xp/day, this means that he has a total of 132 Sannin XP.

Boosting this

Sounds sesible, rapid rejuvenation is what expands his lifespan isn't it?

Not quite. It's a jutsu specifically designed by Orochimaru to allow a medic nin to heal teammates in the middle of combat. Further, it's specifically designed to be an easy jutsu to strengthen with THing.

The mechanics can be found here.

On his sheet, cell AC6 tracks this. Now he has 129 total -- I must have miscalculated last time.

@Paperclipped If you have the time, can you glance over this and tell me if it's valid? The pyramids should be valid, and I've corrected the mistake regarding Rapid Rejuvenation's cost... but I'd like a second pair of eyes, if you don't mind? [insert: hopeful smile]
Yes, the pyramid moves are valid and ends with Noburi at 7/5/5/4/2. Noburi has enough XP to make all suggested moves. However, the XP calculation is off. Noburi will end with 36 XP. This doesn't make a training plan invalid, but I thought it was worth noting since it is enough to buy another level of MedNin.

If anything, this seems like it would shorten your lifespan, Tsunade's canon healing ability was very similar in that her cells would rapidly divide to heal herself
Tsunade in canon is wierd, like he uses some jutsu to keep herself younger and just dry up when its chakra exhausted. And i don't need to tell you of many people how fast and lose mfd work with canon.

Akane has about 500 XP to spend. We should probably figure out what we want to spend it on. Part of me wants to just dump that plus the 300XP for stunts into getting her to punch good. Otherwise I like dumping it in deceit

Probably some stunts that would make her cope better under the guise of interrogation resistance training?

Thanks, sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks for the update! I want to save Noburi's general XP pool for pyramid-support stats, since he won't be able to boost his Mednin beyond 39 until he has those. I'd like to save the 36xp to help Noburi get another 20 (such as Stealth, since it's already at 15, though there's also an argument to be made for raising a social, such as Intimidation, or a Water Jutsu, to take advantage of the halfcost).

That might have been a decent plan before the most recent rules change. But we already have tons of buffs that we need to spend XP on.
The jutsu we wanted for her weren't buffs anyways, imo. Flame Aura is already incredible. I'm more interested in covering the other parts missing in her build like movement, long Ranged attacking, zone control/blocks, etc. Some of it is partially covered by Sealing but I'd still like to see the list first.

And personally I still want earth element for Akane for a multitude of reasons but buying at least the 200 XP 3x combo stunt for her isn't a bad idea now that you mention it.

What combination would you want for her? Flame aura, macerators, and rocket boots?

How we should spend our 300 buff stunt xp, assuming Hazou learns Rocket Boots and makes it a +8. Macerators, Rocket Boots, and Flame Aura scale much better than PKH and fighting styles. PKH is slightly worse in total bonus than Boost + fighting style due to existence of ACE and also costs an entire supplemental, but is less chakra than Boost. PKH is essentially 2x AB as a bonus, while fighting style is 1 AB and boost will be a little more than 1 AB. Ultimately I see PKH getting left behind and probably fighting styles too once we get any decent buff jutsu.

Hazou:
- Roki + Rocket boots
Roki will likely end up dumped later once we get a third buff better than +AB (that doesn't prevent boosting like PKH).
- Roki + Macerators
Macerators will probably hit a higher bonus than +6 in the future.
- Macerators + Rocket Boots
Setting up to combine all 3.
Unfortunately I see fighting styles probably getting left in the dust for everyone going forwards. For Hazou you could switch PKH for Roki and it's probably fine, PKH saves so much chakra, and if we level it again we will get 4+ tags, leaving 2+ for dodging as well. Boost + AB is a better bonus than PKH though so I say dump it.

Akane:
- Flame Aura + Rocket Boots
Single biggest possible roll, with boosting.
- Flame Aura + Macerators
Good for shadow clones since it saves chakra.
- Macerators + Rocket Boots
Sets up to combine all 3. Again, probably abandoning fighting styles unfortunately. Only exception is maybe Explosion Master since it lumps with blast rings, so we could consider that. Youthful fist doesn't cut it anymore though, a +AB isn't good enough to justify it, unless she's just out of chakra and can't use Flame Aura, in which case she's probably fucked anyways. Besides that, PKH is much worse than any of these bonuses + Boost besides cost, so it is dumped.

Noburi:
- Hozuki's mantle + Rocket boots
Solid bonus. Also really his only real option lmao
- PKH + Rocket boots
Only useful for dodging.
I don't have a third thing.

Kei:
Considering we don't know anything about her Nara jutsu I would like Kei (the QMs) to choose, otherwise we're pretty much just gambling. All she has that she uses that we understand is PKH.

EDIT: Well, I forgot Substitution + Rocket Boots for everyone, so we'll have to factor that in as well 😔

Alright, got the map updated relatively quickly this time, despite the difficulties the new information posed. Pay no mind to how Cat stretches from the north coast to the south coast and is shaped like two big ugly lumps.

There's honestly not a lot of room left for other clans anymore. We have five confirmed clans with no known location on the map, and only a couple spots where any of them might go. And I kinda doubt we've heard of every single clan by now, so I expect one or two more on top of that. Maybe there's another island down in the actual southwest? That could be nifty.
Twelfth Draft: Crow and Raptor are officially connected to stuff now, and Cat continues to be the absolute rudest Clan I've ever seen. The stated placement of Crow being in the southwest heavily clashes with its relative positioning smack dab in the middle of the continent, so I figured maybe the whole Arachnid chunk was way up in the northwest instead. Now if you squint Crow's kinda sorta in the southwest.

Eleventh Draft: so apparently Cat is really tall. Like, 'spans the entire height of the continent' tall. Rude cats. But at least we have a lot clearer picture of the western half of the continent now!
Tenth Draft: The Archaeopteryx island is now shown, a couple new clans listed up top, and we're now tracking how many Dragons are left!
Ninth draft: Dragons! Also, Arachnid-Cat connection.
Eighth draft: Hares are on a northern peninsula, Bears have northern coast, Cats west of Bear. Possible upwards curve of Bear coast (heading straight west is apparently faster than following coastline). Expedition path being tracked.
edit: Seventh draft, after new information on the Dog coastline and existence of a great lake:
edit: Sixth draft, after EJ generously gave out some information on Porcupine/Hyena/Pangolin borders in discord.
edit: Fifth draft, including some tidbits EJ generously gave on discord and the location of the Squirrels that I scrounged up from the Enma chapter.
edit: fourth draft:
edit 2: third draft, now including a location for the Dogs and clip arts of the various clans.
(There weren't any Mara icons anywhere I could find, so I had to take a photo of one and trace it. Still turned out pretty okay)

edit: updated with a second draft after recent loredump.

Alright, got a sketch done. Still not sure which side of the Otters the Condors are supposed to be, but with other statements about the Capybara and so it'd be very awkward if the Condors touched the Pangolins and Toads and were south of the Otters.
Still a good deal of guesswork on the details, but this is roughly how things fit together.

Also, the Pangolins border a heckton of other clans.

I gotta say, I am getting some real 'million-component handcrafted analog computer' vibes from the Great Seal, and I am horrified. For the sake of our sanity (not Hazo's, of course; he's a expert analog-seal master. It's far too late for him.) can we invent digital seals?

Maybe a high-level seal programming language with some proper error handling would help reduce the whole 'accidentally replace your eyeballs with angry cheese monsters' issue.

I would personally say that one of the biggest problems with seals as a whole is that you have the bare metal reality of the universe and the seal itself and that's it. A lot of sealing failures happen when a seal is physically compromised (not hard when they're made of paper, yet not impossible when they're made of Great Seal), and due to the lack of anything other than those two components there's really not much you can do to mitigate that. You can compile a program from a high-level language to a low-level language all you like, it won't help when someone takes that compiled list of instructions and keyboard-mashes some additions halfway through and then deletes the last third.

On a case by case basis you can design a seal that's resilient to failure, which is a generally good thing to do but often adds complexity that you can't afford on higher-level seals. The holy grail of seal safety, I would imagine, is a seal that can shut down other seals while they're operating, conditional on sensing certain behaviours. Set up properly, a seal that behaves in any way unexpectedly would simply be sapped of all its power or otherwise disabled and left unable to execute whatever instructions it's supposed to complete.

The other side of that invention, though, is that it would be a more complex version of a more general 'shut down other seals in the area' seal, which is honestly scary to even think about. Imagine if that got out and someone used it on us? I'm not saying this line of research isn't worth pursuing, of course, but I will say that it's pretty spooky.

An important question is "Should Akane restart FOOM"? This is all XP she's losing, and if Mari feels it is safe, maybe it would be better to actually restart it. Plus the constant "Can Hazou create a basement where the Clan can FOOM in peace" a question we never resolved.

I'm starting to think that the best thing we can do is simply invest in Tai/Alert/Ath and start preparing to obtain Sage Mode or Rasegan. If buffs are limited better to go for the best.
Earth Element would be good both for pyramid fodder and for various utility jutsus(Honestly, the primary things would be PEA and Hiding Like a Mole, basically escape and armor).
Honestly i'm 50/50, but we could do both: buy things now, then put Akane on leave to learn Earth element(Do ninja learning an element go on missions?), so we have an excuse to keep Akane in Leaf for an extended period of time.
I mean, that FA 30 seems really interesting right now that buffs are limited.:V
