It's okay, we will earn it all back withIf the QMs don't decide to keep it as it is after all, I cost us a lot of Yamanaka XP. Less for Hazou though because negative letter G XP is also treated as OOC XP.
Still, fair is fair.

I guess this is on hold because we're not there anymore and probably don't have permission to build it through Leaf.
This might count as complete now? Or at least it evolved into a new project with the Aburame.Something something telescope merchant - Despair. Start date (tbd). Status: Neverending
I think this is done for good.Punished Haru - Demoted to Civilian. Awkward... Start Date (Ch. 449). Status: On hold due to war.
Helping Ino - She implied the Yamanaka could use the help of the Goketsu, and asked for us to mass distribute YSJ. Start date (tbd). Status: Distributed to Goketsu only.
This is not a question towards you in particular, but should we do anything about either of these two?SSSS - Nara and Goketsu each promised to adopt a couple of SSSSS in exchange for their help in Isan. Start date (tbd). Status: Unknown.
She just wanted to verify that it isn't placebo, since Shikamaru suspected it waas. I think we can safely rule that out. With YSJ I am currently trying to find the relevant chapter again. But I guess the way to do it is showing off what high Resolve can do (in a way that doesn't show of the SC interaction).
tbh I think they're dead. They were present when Orochimaru led Isan against Cloud, and were never heard from again. Besides potentially dying in that battle, Oro has said he kills them very frequently for annoying him, though it never dissuades the others. This is not a question towards you in particular, but should we do anything about either of these two?
SSSS would just be reminding/asking Shikamaru and Asuma about it I guess. Honestly I don't even remember where that left off and I do remember that we'd rather not have them as part of our Clan if we don't have to, since they're kinda badshit.
How do we know they were present? Was it in the chapter and I'm not remembering it?tbh I think they're dead. They were present when Orochimaru led Isan against Cloud, and were never heard from again. "It's slow, yes. That's actually part of why we released it—there's a school of thought that it doesn't actually do anything."
"...What?"
"It's been a debate in the Ino-Shika-Chō for years. Yamanaka ninja do tend to be calmer and more emotionally stable than many other ninja, but how much of that is the jutsu and how much of it is simply the fact that our clan models those sorts of behavior so we all grow up with it?"
Uncertainty went through him. He did feel like it was helping, but the progress was so slow that maybe it was an illusion?
"I mean...it does use chakra," he said.
"Sure, but maybe it's just burning the chakra for no effect. It's like when you chakra boost while sitting still."
"That still has an effect. Your muscles are still stronger and faster even if you aren't engaging them."
She shrugged. "Look, take it up with Shika. He's got this whole raft of things he likes to argue on this subject, and I'm sick of it. Definitions of reality, identity, blah blah blah."
Hazō smiled. "Actually, I'll do that. I've currently got three Shadow Clones over there going through the Nara Public Library gathering books related to the Sage and this weird poem that Cannai gave me. I'm going to go pick the books up and then look for details on areas with high chakra concentration, like the Swamp of Death."
I don't think it was expressly mentioned but that sect seemingly lived in Isan and they worship Orochimaru. I'd be very surprised if they didn't jump at the chance to interact with or impress him. It's also been... over a year? IIRC they didn't live there, they're missing nin who sent an ambassador to Isan. IIRC we already did ask once and were told no one knows anything, though that was several months ago in-universeMaybe we should ask Asuma if we need to worry about this guy showing up at our doorstep
Alright, he's probably dead. I'm not going to worry about it. If he shows up we can just have him killed.IIRC we already did ask once and were told no one knows anything, though that was several months ago in-universe

... So which three of the six fooming/soon-to-be-fooming Uplift-aligned people do you expect to die?
Hm, its not so much "scare the normies", but maybe we could find a way to cut Leaf away from the rest of the world into a pocket spatial dimension? Since apparently that's what the Rift is kinda sorta doing, there is no reason we couldn't try to purposefully replicate it, so that we have an emergency measure if things ever look dire.
Definitely Akane.... So which three of the six fooming/soon-to-be-fooming Uplift-aligned people do you expect to die?
"Oh hey Whirlpool, that's where you've been! Heh. Awkwaaard..."
Akane down. That's still the Gonin, there's Futari to go. Mari, Hazō, Noburi, Ami... and let's consider Kei to represent the Snow Globe, or kill her off too to make the counting easier
The important thing is that if we do this right it shouldn't matter who dies since we can bring them back... So which three of the six fooming/soon-to-be-fooming Uplift-aligned people do you expect to die?
Hazō is not going to be doing any training during this trip. He'll be spending the majority of his days traveling, guarding, or popping back to the Human Path very briefly to check on the clan.Escorting the Dogs will take between 2 to 8 weeks from what we know, so he may be nearly done with detour 0 by the time he's back from the Conclave
Right but he will still be accumulating XP in that time (just not FOOM)Hazō is not going to be doing any training during this trip. He'll be spending the majority of his days traveling, guarding, or popping back to the Human Path very briefly to check on the clan.
Some thoughts.compiling a powerup list just to make divvying up acquiring them easier
Unclear that the textbook is a lootbox: presumably she'd give unfettered access to the Real Deal to any sufficiently-good medic and I'm not sure we live in a universe which reflects that being the case? This could be even more if we get Tsunade's textbook. May also be some Iron-Nerve-Surgery stunts we could look into buying.
She's a clan of her own, so presumably she can just...do her stuff? Like, if we had a kid we'd be free to teach them Goketsu secrets, which include stuff like 'here's how to avoid pissing yourself with the Iron Nerve'. Maybe?Ami probably knows the good Mori secrets already, she'd just need permission to teach Kei (or decide to ignore getting permission)
What's the proposal here? Presumably Reo would have to learn the techniques, and that's Hard. If he can learn them, then that's a good start, but it isn't clear to me how he'd actually get to that point given that he'd have to hack the technique for human use prior to learning it, and that's a catch-22. Maybe if he learns enough (say) Toad jutsu already adapted for humans, then he can identify some patterns, but I don't think we're there with Ma or Pa.Now that we have a technique hacker, we can start to adapt these. However, Reo will need some time to grind up his skill so the attempt doesn't kill him. We should probably look into Akane and/or Kei becoming a THer as well (and maybe Hazou too, eventually) so that we can adapt more at once. We already have 4 scrolls, and therefore Summon Clans, to draw from and we are going to pump that number up.
If you think of it as something that other clans really, really value, then IMO the value proposition gets a lot better. One chunk of chakra metal is probably worth some Sarutobi secrets, at any rate.I'm not sure we have good reason to [find chakra metal] at the moment though, I think the time and effort is better spent on something that benefits all of us.
It's not a lootbox. What it does mechanically is let you learn mednin (and medknow(?)) up to 10 without a teacher but with a few months study.Unclear that the textbook is a lootbox: presumably she'd give unfettered access to the Real Deal to any sufficiently-good medic and I'm not sure we live in a universe which reflects that being the case

"PONWOG: Tsunade's original book does provide XP. The one that the world knows is the comparatively useless version from after Leaf 's counterintelligence department got done redacting it."
Every fight is different yet memorizing your old battles still gives bonuses. The point isn't to have a single motion you repeat but to have an entire library of motions to choose from, varying in length of time and motion. This is why it would likely need to be a stunt (with time and XP investment) the way Iron Nerve socials/fighting styles would be.Also Iron Nerve surgery stunts are unlikely IMO: human bodies differ greatly (organs in all sorts of different places) so being able to make the same physical motions perfectly is unlikely to help.
I believe the idea is collaborating with the Summon technique hackers to finagle jutsu exchange. The jutsu is already complete and they can walk us through the casting, but a human will presumably be needed to make human hand seals work instead of dog ear-twitching or what have you. I don't think Reo is nearly skilled enough to do this, which is why I have hopes we can obtain some TH notes. And of course, Kei and Akane have FOOM and could become experts in a relatively short amount of time especially with notes. What's the proposal here? Presumably Reo would have to learn the techniques, and that's Hard. If he can learn them, then that's a good start, but it isn't clear to me how he'd actually get to that point given that he'd have to hack the technique for human use prior to learning it, and that's a catch-22. I'm not sure Sasuke would be able to then pass them on to us. If he's Casting via the Sharingan he may not be able to pass it on to us. I also don't think some of our summon clans would be comfortable with a deal like that (especially the Pangolins who are already annoyed by how many people know their jutsu.)I think the win here would be having them teach Sasuke under an agreement that he teaches us, and that any jutsu he learns this way are joint Goketsu-Uchiha clan secrets. (That would be a cool character development moment, potentially?)
Oh that's a really good point... hmm, if it seems like we would be able to get an equivalently valuable secret maybe it would be worth pursuing some chakra metal. As of now though I think we know too little and it's probably not our best lead.If you think of it as something that other clans really, really value, then IMO the value proposition gets a lot better. One chunk of chakra metal is probably worth some Sarutobi secrets, at any rate.
