I admit, this is a scope beyond my expectations (holy sweet mother of Arceus what a fantastic explosion), but anyone who looks could only conclude the same. After all, nobody would ascribe an effect so vast to the work of mortal hands. Plus, if it was us who failed that seal, we would surely be dead, so it can't be us.

Seal failure does stuff like this all the time. A one off is weird but not unheard of. The aftermath may even resemble a weird but conventional storm since it would all thaw afterward. Tornados probably still exist here.
Also, I'm loathe to think what Asuma would use this for tbh. He has not earned my confidence whatsoever with the whole burn-everyone-alive shtick he put on Akane already.
