I have waited literal years for the party to obtain a proper nuke. Not just "what if bombs", or "what if Implosion-based Seal failure", a nuke. My inner completionist demands it.
That war council scene where Hazou had no ideas (and where even Zoo Rush was shot down) was a massive blow to the thread's self-perception. We must live up to it by the utter obliteration of a random patch of forest (for now).

[X] Nuke Leaf to maintain FOOM OPSEC

Uhhh, you all are aware that his seal-infusion roll was more than double that of his seal-assembly roll, correct?
He's not dead yet, so we must have done well anyway. So far. Or not. What was the plan, does someone remember? I don't recall, were we supposed to kill him or help him maintain pluriversal balance? I always mix up the two, they're so alike!
More seriously, yes, he should learn to write properly, that needs to be done

There will probably be a massive commotion about 3D seals/ES and EM nukes in the next update, and we most likely will want to make plans based on that...but if we can, I would like our next plan (or the plan after that) to poke some more holes at Ruri's comment on the previous Polemarch. RandomOTP's previous plan had him ask the Toads about them, but if this hasn't happened yet and we need to re-write it I would also like to ask about Pasafutsu, who apparently lived 600 years previously and who may have links to the previous Polemarch (or who could have been the previous Polemarch).

There was another topic I wanted to also do, but I don't remember it.

Also, happy to see Akane now has EM 40! I hope we test it on-screen soon!
I'm not sure I literally said "I will produc this for this update and if you don't like it then we duel to the death" to the other QMs, but the implication was definitely there.

Oh my, yes. I am so there with you. This pre-afternoon, I enjoyed a repeated state of controlled imbalance to cover distance for purposes of entertainment, social involvement, and exercise with my sister, in a verbal information swap with her about it. She is a staid and sober academic with little interest in fantasy and zero information about Naruto, but she could tell how excited I was and made appropriately supportive/interested noises.

Oh my, it finally happened.

FWIW, I think I would have redacted my countervote, had I been more responsive to the new plans that addressed my safety concerns.

I can't wait for Akane to have another existential crisis yet more civilizations to be reduced to rubble before us our OPSEC to immediately fail and the team to be assassinated Hazō to leak this to Asuma and result in the permanent loss of our autonomy the nuke to turn sentient as our teacher warned NICE STUFF TO HAPPEN. YES, I AM EXCITED FOR NICE STUFF THAT ONE ACQUIRES AFTER UNPRECEDENTED EXPLOSIONS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

Likewise, when I scrolled back in the thread, I only belatedly got this joke and also chuckled. Please take the same award, +1 XP to a PC of your choice, chosen by 1d4 if you do not pick in 24 hours.
@FaintlySorcerous I award you 1 XP, in thanks for Ch. 555. Should that fail @Paperclipped, you are also pretty cool, you can choose.

I REMEMBERED THE OTHER TOPIC

It was the Uchiha Minori situation.

As others have mentioned, the levels for our seal infusion stat are free, and thus there is no reason to not level them up at this time. But moreover, I feel it prudent to mention that while our inkbrush skill currently defines the upper limit of what seals we can safely research, the speed at which we research is still proportional to our seal creation stat. Each three levels of the stat is +1 shift of success on every successful research roll, and thus our projects will be completed all the quicker.

It is valuable to raise our inkbrush skill at this time, but it is also still valuable to raise our seal creation skill, especially since it's free to do so.

One of the big advantages of more inkbrush is that we wouldn't need to spend a full cycle to avoid mishaps. Once it is comparable to our seal infusion we can safely do a three day cycle instead of the 9 we currently do

In which our heroes discover some ideas aren't to be pursued

HAZŌ is sat in his office, he works on clan affairs. Enter AKANE.
AKANE:
My dear Hazō, of news you should be warned.
HAZŌ:
Beloved, to hear your words I burn of curiosity.
AKANE:
I must before request the utmost secrecy.
HAZŌ:
My heart, my lips, my soul, have surely sworn't.
AKANE:
I trained all day in forest deep, and hark!
My chakra sent to cool the air did spark;
From trees of vert, untouched by winter's atrophy,
The whelmy storm did make a tomb of canopy.
A milky coat atop the trunks remained:
'Twas snow purest, and heavy still it rained.
Enter WATCHERS behind HAZŌ. AKANE blanches.
HAZŌ (who does not notice them):
Incredible, ex-apprentice of mine! This means you won
Athwart the rule of nature, only one -
'tis you, indeed - can make a-bend its truth,
You can now take a sphere in welkin, sooth,
And thunder shall you rain on all our enemies.
Now none can-
WATCHER 1:
be allowed this war on Life!
The role we share is one to stop these perfidies,
As such alike the one we observe in your strife!
WATCHER 2:
Know'st thou not, hear'st thou not, thou knave,
The duty human, shared by all on Earth?
The one that lives and causes all the worth
of Time? Think'st thou not afore dost misbehave!
HAZŌ:
You misapprehend: I defend Life my best,
The world I would uplift, if power I possessed!
WATCHER 3:
Are we to understand this power fits the quest?
It look'th to we who Watch this is in jest:
You'd break the world and build it back from rest -
'Tis not a conservation to write a palimpsest.
HAZŌ:
I tremble so, my cause is just, and see,
This blame for deaths not caused is baseless injury.
Besides, aren't you meant to keep to seals?
Your role, as I learnèd, is focused on their deals.
WATCHER 1:
And this thou know'st, and this thou say'st, but fye!
An thou dost question those you never met,
Let I show thee the one that you defy.
Come, the Listener, warden for Jutsu threat!
He strikes the soil with his staff. Exeunt WATCHERS. Enter LISTENER. He is tall, and his upper body muscles are particularly developed.
LISTENER:
You kid, my kin do speak of truth, and just.
Aye, power you need, but after power you lust,
And those are different. Do not be power-mad.
Heed you my words, or I'll beat you really bad.
Exit LISTENER
AKANE:
This hurts, I know, but let my words appease.
Picture for a moment how worse it could have been!
A seal could fail somewhere, a letter forbidden.
'Tis hard to plead, without the use of [ðɒ̈ʢ₹ɰ̪]

OROCHIMARU (aside, after he casts his costume off):
This lesson must be learned, 'tis true...
You're not sufficiently paranoid yet, nephew.

Exeunt.
Scene.

...is this in iambic pentameter?

SASUKE: "Minori. Are you romantically involved with Hazou?"

MINORI: "No, my lord! I swear, I don't know how that rumor occurred!"

SASUKE: "Drat. I would have asked for tips. It seems I must seek Akane out, instead."

So as soon as we get Akane a scroll we can just threaten to nuke the Polemarch. This is an eloquent solution to solve the condor's problem

EM nuke is powerful, probably really powerful, maybe even stupidly powerful, but perhaps not that powerful. The Polemarch's defensive jutsu are über-overpowered, are they not?
Seconding this. Pantsaa has the title "of the Adamantine Scales," and is the Pangolin Boss. Boss Summons are basically gods within their clan's territory/demesne. There's a reason why the Conclave's Boss Summons are extremely leery of leaving their respective territories.

first we both fucked up. The rule is in effect till next Thursday's chapter.

But even if the Polemarch can survive a jutsu that is used to render cities into dust it won't matter because he won't an army to command since they will all be dead

While I really do appreciate to be seconded, ouch,

because he won't an army to command since they will all be dead
If we assume the military... Scaled Mammals cannot survive it as well. I mean, the stalemate between Scaled Mammals and Condors stood because Condors could not pierce the Scaled Mammals' defence, at all

My hope for Summoner EM Akane is that the nuke could be some use when we battle the scaly souldrinkers. Sure, it only nukes a stationary location and the souldrinkers are very fast, but the plan is already to have Conjura knock them out of the sky with space-time ninjutsu: maybe she could knock them into the AoE of the nuke?

Hmmm. I have an idea, but it may be bad. Or it may have been discussed already.
We know that seals-that-store can store air. We know that they maintain temperature. Couldn't we use some version of them (or maybe macerators, as reverse-Youthenizers) to make a previously-contained EM nuke portable before release? (Also, makes it a weapon that can be used at a distance).
Conjura could spacetime-jutsu transport such a seal (about to release the nuke) by a Scaly Souldrinker and then leave before it detonates, perhaps. We would need the seal to be able to store air it is not directly in contact with, that said. That may mean hard research, but I think Seal-Sensei did it, with implosion seals. Or... can a seal-that-stores store air from an air dome? Or can it be activated with a delay, just a tick after the containment air dome breaks?
