For me, I think the confusion was more that I think of Haru as part of the clan but that does not necessarily mean he's a sibling. Most clan members are cousins of some degree, not siblings. It gets a little more complicated with the Gōketsu, who share no ties of blood and therefore "brother" and "sister" require a great deal of time to earn.

Because with all the talk of "punching above our weight", and "becoming a credible threat fast", a summons who can actually throw down when we need it might save our life sooner rather than later. Plus, the diplomat would seem a good way to make further connections.
 
I would think that the diplomat dog would be probably pretty busy with the Dogs' own business. And what would we be expecting out of one? As far as I recall, the lack of skytowers and seals mean that the Pangolins have stopped advancing and, at worst, are consolidating if not outright retreating to make their advances holdable.

This isn't widely known to the Dogs for the same reason the Dogs haven't ever seen a Pangolin - the 7P information network is not great. And arguably, we're the ones that are going to need to forge relationships due to our 7P trade network idea.

In sum, I'd say that we include our trade network idea and desire to therefore have neutral relations between all Leaf summon clans at the moment. To be honest, that sounds like something that Cannai (or at least his diplomatic corp, such that it exists) would want direct input on, and we shouldn't necessarily ask for one.

Both are very important - I'd say that with a combat dog we should consider coming up with something that distinguishes our request from what Candoru already gives us. I doubt we're going to get a jonin-powered dog off the bat, so we should zone in on a specialist - maybe ninjutsu dog? Generally Uplift is less long-ranged, so that would certainly be helpful.

This has nothing to do with anything, but I just thought of a pretty cool solution in search of a problem!

We can use the seal that absorbs air to evacuate a chamber of air, and then use the repulse seals to manipulate tools attached via sturdy springs to the walls of the chamber. I'm not sure why we would ever want to manipulate objects inside a vacuum, but we can! Technically, this can be reversed to study objects at high pressure.

Good point. How about we ask for a ninjutsu specialist with element(s) outside of what humans can have? Enma implied that summons have more elements than us, and I want to find out what they are.

PSA: People have been asking about how Candoru was resummoned so often.

Two-part answer:

First, [EDIT: in most cases] the update does not specify how long it was between summonings.

Second, there is a cooldown during which the being cannot be resummoned, and the cooldown is proportional to how powerful the thing is. Beyond that, most summons don't want to come back immediately as they still feel the trauma of dying. Candoru is incredibly pig-headed and unwilling to admit failure. He pushed through the pain and trauma, accumulating mental consequences in the process. This is part of why he did so poorly.

A stealth dog will be able to help do things that we wouldn't normally have the skill to do without Mari around, and a ninjutsu-spec dog would be able to help us in combat if we truly need to defend ourselves and our Taijutsu is at a disadvantage.

This allows Keiko to maintain 4 SC training blocks per day instead of 3.

  • Dedicate all clones to training Resolve.
  • Number of training blocks = 3 + (current Resolve - 20)/3
    • Add 1 training block at Resolve 40 and Resolve 80
    • Add 1 training block at SC 40, 50, ...
    • If SC >= 40, have as many clones do 3 training blocks as possible, and any overflow pop themselves once done training.
  • Spend FP to reroll -9/-12 on the dice iff there's something important (high-stakes social event, field missions, etc.) the next day.
  • If you take Consequences, lay off training proportionally.
    • Currently (while Resolve < 60), taking a Mild Consequence means using 2 less clones until it's healed.
    • Currently (while Resolve < 30), taking a Medium Consequence means using 2 less clones until it's healed.
    • Currently (while Resolve < 30), taking a Severe Consequence means using 3 less clones until it's healed.

[X] Shadow Clone SOP: Keiko FOOM
Follow FOOM plan as above.
Currently, Keiko is at Resolve 20. She will train for 3 training blocks (not hitting any chakra limit)
She will make a check with 26 vs. TN 29, and gain 1.3x XP

(I think a ninjutsu spec dog is just a good idea, and if we can start looking at dogs that *could* be teachers down the line, I'd love to open up discussions with them at some point)
