Wasn't there a whole discussion about informing Naruto first? We haven't done that yet. But for all I know that part has been discussed and people have justly changed their minds since then. So I'm not actually against this, simply reminding just in case it is still relevant.

Can we also ask her what it is she actually did? And inform her regarding everything we ourself learned since? As is I think she hasn't even read the will of her private letter. She did two chapters ago, but iirc that has been swiftly retconned due to her not having been there.
All in all Mari is my main source of anxiety in this quest right now.

The only other thing I have to add is that the plan seems to cover a lot of things at once. My previous instinct is to cut it down, but seeing how the QMs right now seem inclined to rule that we don't want to do more things in a day if they aren't in the plan, maybe I have been wrong on that all along.
On the other hand, maybe marking parts of the plan as not imminently politically relevant and thus rife for insertion into the past couple of days is an option. Maybe through color coding?
The easiest I think are:
  • All clan internal discussions.
  • Everything Kagome. That way he can retroactively already have started on the research.
  • Noburi meeting Kabuto.
  • Letter to the Snakes.
All in all it is a nice and conservative plan. I know that the other one is about acquiring the Snake scroll using Jiraiya's will as an excuse. I haven't read it yet to know how feasible it is. But maybe in your plan you could add asking about what the Snakes want to happen there into the letter towards them?

Off to the next plan I am.

Edit: If anyone is miffed at my double posting (or potentially even quadruple posting) please say so. I will stick to editing stuff together instead. Personally I never got why it is a problem in a fast enough moving thread. Especially when the alternative is not having the @User notifications work.

I don't see why we shouldn't let him know; it will concern him once he becomes Clan Head, after all.

Honestly, I suspect that if the winning plan doesn't at least check how viable going and taking the snake scroll is then the next few votes are also going to try and do so. So a line asking Naruto about taking the scroll, ideas he might have and whether the personal loyalty of the ANBU to Jiraiya will really let us wave around an ambiguously-worded statement in his will like a blank check.

Its a bit unclear what you mean here. I think we want to be explicit that we're trying to send them a message of "Pangolin alliance for Snek and only if Gouketsu is their summoner."

Is this actually true? If yes, that's our best argument by far. If not, then even if we decide to lie about it right now, we should wait with signing it until we actually have word from the Snakes regarding Orochimaru's will and/or their own opinion.

I don't think this is a smart argument to use. In fact, I think that our arguments are stronger if we don't justify what exactly we need it for at all. Or at least come up with a better one than "It's good for Goketsu".

This one is the only one I actually want to happen right away as opposed to just being scheduled. We really should meet with her and update her on everything we can. More importantly, we really really should finally find out wether she is even alive anymore.
In fact, we should have already done that roughly one and a half days ago. Which is why I propose petitioning the QMs to have that scene inserted retroactively in case it is possible. I recognize that if she is dead that won't be possible, though it makes me a bit dismayed that Hazou was modelled as not thinking about Akane for two days. He'll hate himself for that.

Another thing that could maybe be done retroactively is contacting the Snakes. It would be a great boon since if it was long enough ago for them to have replied it would line up perfectly with your scroll snatching plan.

I also recommend adding the Kagome related part of faflec's plan. It doesn't hurt in any way and your word count allowed for it I think.

I am not sure which of the two plans if prefer right now. In any case, I'll also do all this for the third plan, even if it currently only has half the votes of the top two.

If you would like to then go acquire the snake summoning scroll I know about 18ish other individuals that would maybe spontaneously start caring about Akane be willing to vote for that :V

These two are the meat of the things I prefer in your plan over the one of @Oneiros. We don't actually know that the scroll is at the Tower. And the phrasing regarding Orochimaru's will, or lack thereof, is more honest and accurate. Of course it hinges on The are, Orochimaru's other former teammate, agreeing, but that's why we sanity check with her after all.

As I said in my previous plan critique, I don't like this part. Though with more emphasis given on Jiraiya being Orochimaru's heir and us being his, it is less grievous.

Again I disagree with this one. As long as we don't know if Oro lives or what the Snake's stance on things is I believe we should postpone this. That doesn't mean that we'd never sign it without their approval, just that IMO this requires an informed discussion with Tsunade.

I don't think we should meet Akane and Tenten simultaneously. I also think we should already have met her. See my previous posts of today.

All in all your plan is very similar to @Oneiros. Maybe even vote-splitingly so. I like your phrasing more on the scroll snatching stuff, but his seems to have a better chance of winning. I am still not sure wether I think this gambit is smart, but it certainly is bold. Definitely worth more XP than faflec's. If it works out. It could also make several otherwise neutral clans much more upset with us though.

@Velorien Assuming you are the one to write the next plan based update, could you give a quick read of the top plans and tell us which parts, if any, you would be willing to make have already happened before our meeting with Naruto retroactively? It matters to how I vote.
