Tsunade's willing to give us a chance.

Shikamaru looks like he needs us almost as much as we need him.

Naruto sounds like he'll be ok according to Tsunade.

All in all, could be a lot worse. The only bad thing is Stabby Zabby PTSD, but that can be worked around, I think.
 
Well, I hope the thread sees the value in convincing the kid to maybe not become clan head and delete all of our agency again.

QMs are trolls, as per usual.

This was all pretty great, honestly. Here's hoping that Naruto will take the hat, because Inoue really can't.
Oh, and I wonder what's up with the Zabuza flashbacks? I hope it's just PTSD and grief, but...

Shiokage, I believe. As a corollary, the Shiori/Shikamaru ship is the Shiomaru, which is the Japanese-language equivalent of "S.S. Salt".
 
The Toad summoning scroll should eliminate our dependence on Pangolin gold.

Instead of trading seals to the Pangolins we can now extort money from the Aburame lest they run afoul to Surprise Insectivores teleporting into their homes. Absolutely no one will be able to trace the Toads back to our clan, unlike the Pangolin which Keiko was famous for.

Also I am happy to see Hazou gives Zabuza the respect we deserve. May his nightmares be long and vivid.

I did not expect Naruto to be ineligible for the Toad scroll, but it makes sense in retrospect and gives us an interesting plot thread to pursue in the near future.

I'm also glad to hear that Naruto's apparently not in some of the worst case scenarios for his mental health, which means there's a good chance we'll get along pretty well.

Also really glad to hear that Tsunade's potentially willing to use the Senju vote. With Mari back in action and the Senju vote we've got a pretty solid chance of keeping the Hat off Hiashi's head.

(And if Orochimaru does end up coming back to life somehow we'll even get to adopt him into the clan!)

Lotta good things this chapter, looking forward to seeing how the rest of our immediate reactions play out.

So we got left the toad summoning scroll which will presumably be given to Noburi and Jiraiya's sealing notes? I'm kinda shocked we didn't get left any of Jiraya's jutsu scrolls. Hopefully we can get Naruto aligned with us so we can continue to increase the power of the Goketsu because Jiraya's bequeathal is not going to help too much on those lines for a fairly long time.

Yes, I'm sure nobody could possibly figure out that the clan of the legendary Toad summoner Jiraiya is the source of surprise Toads infesting the Aburame

Jiraiya was the Toad summoner and he is irrefutably dead. We can point anyone that questions this to Tsunade which should eliminate doubters quite quickly.

And really, it's hardly our fault that there are a bunch of Rogue Toads hanging around in the Aburame hives. We are no experts in how summons work and if that is their way of mourning Jiraiya, who are we to tell them otherwise?

But as we are kind and generous, we would gladly put some resources into researching and stopping the issue if someone were to provide the financing for us to do so.

E: Also, we could always muddle the waters by having a Pangolin or two pop in there every now and then.

This is a genius plan that will make us rich fast and we should propose this immediately to Naruto for him to implement as the clan head. First impressions matter and he will certainly appreciate our wits and initiative.

Some people say you are not really dead as long as you are remembered. Zabuza lives on, as some of his surviving woud-be victims have had his horrifying presence chiseled on their minds. When the previous Zabuza is thougth of as dead, this impression incrementally suborns its host until they become Zabuza themselves. The first signs are there for Hazo already.

I'm okay with whatever (lighthousing in between implementing Uplift stuff atm I guess?), as long as we pick up the pace so that things start getting done.

Ideally we'd want to slide in a bunch of adoptions right now if we're giving Naruto the clan head spot to make sure they get settled.
 
Sooo...What do we do now?
There is a bunch of things to do and really little time, what is going to be the priority for the next update? And more importantly, how much times passes between this update and the next in-story?
