I'd be willing to vote for the same plan without Bonku's involvement but I suggest we wait for @Radvic's reply first before we add yet another plan to the mix which we'd have to simultaneous keep updated.

E:

@Radvic in his edit has indicated he will not be able to change his plan significantly until later, and even then does not wish to change it beyond minor edits and adding contingencies.

Oh. <_<

@Inferno Vulpix @Cariyaga @Enjou I made some edits to my Action Plan (below), please take a look if you still agree with what's been written. Mostly it's a partial merger with @Radvic's plan.

[X] Action Plan: Topsy Turvy

General:
  • Check everything with Keiko/Noburi.
  • Don't break OPSEC.
STL:
  • Confirm: Agree to put down information on each other in ballot.
    • If they disagree, do that.
Team Clanless:
  • Head off drama/recriminations; plan to talk after Event.
  • Work together on plots (below).
Continue event:
  • Stay near teammates, avoid ambush places.
  • Check: Did the tipserator work?
  • With other Leaf teams: Fairly trade intel for intel & other aid:
    • Aid finding counterparts.
    • Aid finding next Event.
    • Aid in next Event.
  • Choose with our team(s) the best plots and do those.
    • Use sweat to find disguised ninjas.
    • Manipulate drunk ninja:
      • Chat them up and get point-scoring intel.
      • Fake being disguised proctors: Get word-halves/point-scoring intel.
        • Sakura Genjutsus ninja to fake 'proctor' de-Henge'ing.
Event Scoring:
  • Use all the information we have available to score points, identifying every role, secret role, and ninja we are aware of.
    • Note: If STL didn't want us to, don't identify them.
  • Guess village/team/name/role for all ninja we are unsure of, using logic to determine most probable cases.
Contingencies:
  • Ask non-disguised proctors to prove they are not Henged before following their orders.

Immediate worry:

If someone else decides to table flip at the last moment, we should have at least a token line of response on how to handle this instead of leaving it entirely up to Hazou et al.

A good point, but one that I'm worried can't really be responded to in my current plan. The only good response to possible table flip is to stay the fuck out of the way, and my plan calls for us to be active (in the sense that we are still gathering intel). In my plan I probably can't do anything save for saying "if someone is acting suspicious, GTFO" or something. The other option is to become significantly more passive in my plan (remove stuff on manipulating others) but that makes it basically @Radvic's plan. I dunno.

I'll scrabble together a contingency for the situation, but I don't know how much it'd help. If @Radvic doesn't want to get rid of the Bonku thing I will probably make/vote for a plan that does it.

Added a contingency to account for table flip. It's not great but it's a thing.

Is there a reason for Team Clanless to work with us apart from general cooperation? I'm seeing Sakura using genjutsu, but she doesn't need us to use that. If the idea is just that we coordinate our efforts and share gains, I think we should say it that way rather than try and direct them.

Good point. I'll add that and @Kiba's suggestion to be less active towards the deadline. A second.
Edit: Done

Since before the fact we have no way of estimating how such a table flip would work, I think that the only effective general approaches would be:

1) Take a hard stance on safety coming closer to the deadline. I.e.: One or two hours left=Find a nice place to sit and camp out. Have an exit strategy. In case of flip, meet at marquee.

2) Counter any possible table flips by providing our own table flip. This causes most ninja to have to deal with our bullshit instead of vice versa.

Edit: You have done enough on this front I think.

I get the feeling they are doing pretty shitty in these events comparatively speaking.

I've added a contingency stating that we should become less active towards the deadline. This isn't a hard time to stop, but I think it should work (?). Let me know if you feel a hard stop-time is best.

No I think your current setup is as best as we are able to do with our resources as things stand.

The fact that we are attempting to (with Team Asumas aid I guess) backpack the entirety of Leaf a bit farther with this event should nullify this.

I also don't think it matters too much. Any contractors watching the finals would be hiring us from Leaf, not Mist.

Ok, so you think my plan as below is good? I want to be absolutely sure to avoid miscommunication.

Yes.

Separately, this seems like a good thing to turn over to the thread. Supposing, purely hypothetically, that a grue were to eat the Transformation Technique and everyone's memories of it, what issues would need to be addressed (e.g. confused infiltrators)? How would you suggest addressing them?

Henge that works as an illusion only would be my suggestion

I don't know that I'll get to it, but you might at least consider adding something about "...and after the event, here's what we'll do to look for the next one, assuming there is one which we don't actually know for a fact."

Well I have been griping a lot about the drunk ninja thing.

To me, given the discussion before the update, it seems very likely that there aren't actually any drunk ninja. Because our tipserator (as originally designed), shouldn't have worked.

So I think that thats generally a waste of space. At worst, we start trying to fool someone who is only pretending to be drunk and that backfires.

Edit: Consider deleting that portion and instead putting this in:

I don't know that I'll get to it, but you might at least consider adding something about "...and after the event, here's what we'll do to look for the next one, assuming there is one which we don't actually know for a fact."

*slightly panicked screaming over word count*

Alright I have to get to lunch but I'll figure something small to write. Maybe discuss going to the Yakuza again, and general coordinate with STL?
