What if we held "haunted house" type tours of the catacombs? A civilian could do that if they owned some awesome totally-not-haunted catacombs.

Actually, what if we went straight to the Merchant Council and offered to analyze their laws and proposed licenses? We'd only be giving them suggestions and reports, Keiko would be able to cut her teeth on delicious trade data, and we might be able to profit heavily, since I don't think lawyers are a concept (yet).

Thing is, I don't know whether "data analyst" is an actual profession in MfD. The Merchant's Council is also pretty clearly strained if approval of new licenses takes several months, so we wouldn't be depriving any bureaucrats of their jobs, unless we did such an exceptional job that even after accounting for reviewing our notes, the Merchant's Council didn't need some bureaucrats.
I suppose I should just ask the question directly, then.

- Does the occupation of "lawyer" or "data analyst" exist as a civilian occupation?
- What does Jiraiya/Akane think of the proposal to essentially sell thought hours to the Merchant Council, not making any orders, but suggestions?
