I don't think we can get Mari jewelry , that hairpin alone cost us 50k ryo. Something bigger, even in Konoha, is probably outside of our budget.

If you can make a plan that makes it plausible in-character for Hazō to do this, I swear to Yog-Sothoth that I will write it.

We can ask Ino, she seem's to know where to get smut. What could go wrong? Asking the Yamanaka heirness for help to find porn sounds like a secure way to killbox 2.0 paradise.

But serious, we might need Ino or Jiraiya to help us here because our 'Clan' is useless in helping us. Do they even remember Hazou's gifts up to this point?

-) A flute song
-) A whetstone with pictures
-) A coupon for a seal

Speaking of flute songs, would it devalue our previous gift to Akane to come up with a song for Mari?

@eaglejarl @Velorien @OliWhail How good is Hazou at the flute, actually? Good enough to write a song for it?

Just checking, how binding is a vow to Yog-Sothoth?
If I'm honest, not terribly. First, he probably doesn't care. Second, he exists outside reality and therefore is unlikely to make much effort to come after you to enforce vows made in his name. I think the players would have to actively summon Yog-Sothoth and bargain with him in order to punish me if I went back on this vow.

...Aaand I can totally see that happening. Where did I put my Elder Sign?

We did just discuss summoning a whale-shaped eldritch being in-universe... what's a little elder god between friends?

Just to be clear I have my copy of the book of Rl'Yeh handy and I will happily spew summoning rituals out to my fellow players until I am blue in the face. I will make it binding dear QM.

...oh hell. The date is September 31st. Canonically, the Fourth Shinobi World War began on October 9th.

I'm not saying Shinobi War 4 isn't gonna happen. I'm saying looking at the canon/MfD dates isn't evidence. I mean, in canon the Chunin exams happened in July but in MfD it happened in winter.

And I'm expecting Akatsuki to "leak" their acquisition of two bijuu, with the hopes of prodding Kumo and/or Iwa into war against Leaf.

So Mist and Leaf might end up as allies of convenience.

Given Mist's obsession with hating missing-nin, to the point where they've demonstrated a willingness to sacrifice advantage to harm them...I'm having trouble seeing it. There's also the issue that Mist has no S-rank ninjas so they're dead weight in any alliance. A non-aggression pact, certainly.

Yagura, specifically, has been the one stated to loathe missing-nin to such an extent.

Mist with out a doubt has at least a few s rankers left.

And anyone with the political power to step up to become Mist's Kage is gonna BE like Yagura, or at least similar enough to hold a similar policy. Killing Yagura was never gonna make Mist like Leaf, even ignoring the fact that their entire situation is Leaf's fault.

Really? To me it looks like it's more Team Uplift's fault... ;>

(E: Not sure precisely how many Kage-tier ninja Mist has left, but 'not a lot' is probably a good guess.)

eaglejarl said that if Leaf had had more S rankers, they would have joined in the fight, IIRC. What makes you think Mist is any different?
Note that 0 is not a lot. Of course, so is 7. Or 8, depending on how you count. [EDIT: Oops, my mistake. Should have said 6 and 7, not 7 and 8. Mist does not have 8 S-rank ninja still living in the village.]

I think we should probably work on nonlethal takedown methods ASAP -- maybe import spicy peppers from the Pangolin in mass and develop a explosive-seal-style rather than cone-style (in aoe) Macerator variant?

PSA: I'm working through the plan and just got to the section on LBF. For two reasons, I'm going to leave it out of the update and assume that Hazō prioritized other things:
1) I don't understand what you're talking about with straight sticks and how this is supposed to work.

2) LBF is not a reusable seal. I can't tell but I think your experiment is predicated on that.
