Your mind under henge is in the same state as your mind immediately before you henged. Hallucinations (whether from physical causes, neural disorder, or etc) will not terminate as long as you remain henged. You continue to think and form memories as you would in your physical body.

It varies a lot. In some places it's an open-door policy, in others there are strict inspections. The level of scrutiny varies from time to time as well. Sometimes you'll get "what's your name, where are you coming from, why are you here, go on in" and sometimes you'll get people opening every bag in your cart and pawing through the contents. In wealthier places the guards might be backed up by a ninja (usually but not always a genin) who sits around looking intimidating while the civilians do the work.
Pandā comes back with some things that look like blanks for those seals but are not always perfect matches. Either way, they are not active seals.

Clans with bloodlines have a survival advantage over non-bloodline ninja, both in straightforward terms and because clans offer an economic, political, and educational powerbase that other ninja lack. Roughly 20% of ninja have a bloodline, although some are fairly trivial.
Dodging explosives is a matter of reflexes and speed to leave the area in time, and ninja can already do that without needing to move in extra directions. Skywalkers do not provide their bonus for escaping explosions.

Not to Naruto, although there was a filler arc with chakra ostriches.
They are inspired by tons of other SF, though. Try Deathworld (the book), or Avatar (the CGI movie).
