@OliWhail we all know you've called dibs on writing the skywalkers scene to Jiriyia but are there any other potential scenes that you personally are interested in writing?

I feel like Kagome would be a *lot* clearer about it if he thought it was seriously unsafe. But you're right in that solo work is probably out of our league.
I mean, sure, but even with Kagome-standards for safety, "Probably"s aren't something I'm willing to risk in Sealing. On top of which, uh... frankly? It's only 2/3 of a year until Jounin level sealing if we got 3 XP a day average and put all our XP into it.

Sorry--how much training (with K supervising) to be able to do those on his own?
A lot. Months and months, in all likelihood.

Oh sure. Reunion with Akane, meeting back up with Ino and Shikamaru, literally anything to do with Danzo...

@OliWhail

How hard does Kagome think linked storage seals (that function at arbitrary distances) would be? Telegram seals (linked seals that display text on the back mirroring their partners at arbitrary distances?

Thank you kindly for taking the time to do this! :D

e: Whoops, missed your last post. Have a good rest.

I think efficient ninja hypothesis means linked storage seals are near-impossible. The comm value alone is huge for any village, plus economic value (corner the ice market in Hot Springs for minor costs!), plus bullshit edge cases (sending stream of corpses from battles to biosealer's compound).

(Telegram is still up there; communications means huge military, ops, and economic advantages.)

I bet storage seals are used to transfer things across *time*, though. Major clans have sealed stockpiles of grains that no longer even exist, ancestral heirlooms they can't risk corroding, etc. I wonder if Kabuto has a Leaf biosample database to play with...

ENH would have also led me to believe misterators were something someone else would have thought of, but...

e: To be honest, we as a hivemind are really bad at judging what ideas are blatantly-obvious and what ideas nobody would have come up with.

@Kiba Real talk, I would rather there not be a "heart-to-heart" talk. Mari's in a bad state right now and talking about how much he loved his family, plus the "ninjas do horrible things" is going to hurt her. The former because she's the reason we're missing-nin; the latter because we're going to Leaf and that means she has to do missions. Namely, seduction/infiltration missions. Where she has to lie, fuck, and kill for a living. Again.

First, I am not going to include the heart-to-heart talk back into my action plan, but I think you need to give Mari-sensei some more credit.

Ninja, missing-nin or not, have all died for nothing. Moreover, becoming a missing-nin was perhaps an accidental mean of acquiring an opportunity to escape the cycle of war and revenge. If the genins stayed back in Mist, learning and doing conventional ninja things, they would have all died random death, while not moving the needle toward peace one bit.

I'm fairly certain Keiko and Noburi would very much prefer being part of the system, and having their life & friends back, over being a missing-nin. Hazou as well, maybe even moreso since Momma doesn't have anyone else.
