You do not *have* to start it immediately, though waiting risks her being assigned again.

@Thread: I'm sure there are a bunch of outstanding questions right now. If you grab those and ping me with them within the next ~45-60 minutes, I will do my absolute best to give at least preliminary answers to them.
 
One problem I see in my action plan is that we don't know what the engineer is good for, other than probably underground construction and military engineering.

So we don't know how to take advantage of it.

My action plan calls for the construction of a large underground lab, but beyond that? Zip zero nada.

  • How do they think we should go about asking Jiraiya?

Kagome: We should wait! Yeah, definitely! Another couple of months...maybe three. Or four. Yeah, four would be good. Can't go without a really solid offering, obviously. Yep. If we want to get anything from him we'll need to have airships and skybases, and impulse seals, and heating seals, and cooling seals, and...um...lupchanz-detection seals, and...uh...immortality seals! Yeah. Definitely need immortality seals before we go to Leaf.

Mari: If war breaks out, we're suddenly in a better bargaining position, and should probably get to Leaf ASAP if we want to have any hope of getting things to end quickly. Otherwise, heading there with improved skywalkers and maybe one more carrot to dangle is probably good enough.

Keiko: Certainly war should mean we make our move quickly. In the absence of war, I feel I lack a solid understanding of the forces at play, and would hesitate to offer a concrete date.

Noburi: I'd really like to have something to show Yakushi-sensei, to see if I can't work my way back into an apprenticeship once we're in good standing. I don't know how long that'll take, though - those rabbits up in snow didn't give me any results, so I have nothing to compare to for working out a timeline.
 
Oh god. Guys. Kagome brought up immortality seals. This is our chance! We can talk to him about them next update without him freaking out!!!!

She does not trust her own abilities to assess relationship quality, but does not have a strong belief that it is *un*salvagavle.

Just like with waiting to start, you risk her being assigned to another project, but you can use up your ice in 1-week chunks.

Pangolin's Reach is similar to Zephyr's Reach but optimized for pulling instead of finer manipulation, but we don't have numbers for that or for Medicine. Apologies.

He is definitely very nervous, even compared to the Kagome scale. His mutterings are constantly focused on figuring out ways to 'keep everyone safe in enemy territory' when 'surrounded by stinking backstabbing cheaters'.

How much training do Hazou and Kagome think it would take Hazou to be able to make skywalkers solo at an acceptable level of risk? How long until he'd be able to test modifications?

Expected timeframe on Kagome making propulsion seals (as a mod of his shaped charges)? Timeframe (if can think of one) to make them gentle/balanced enough to propel skywalking humans forward (and, ideally, up) without serious risk of damage?

I was looking this up after the last discussion on size vs climate, and I really hope it turns out the map is to scale and we're just on a significantly-more-earthlike version of Titan or Europa. We players just never realized there's a big honking planet in the sky, and the characters never mentioned it because that's just how the sky looks.

In other words, that's no moon...

With Kagome helping? Kagome thinks he can prooooobably do it now.

Highly variable depending on specifics and number of iterations. Also, testing that sounds annoyingly tricky.
