Since the rec thread appears to be dead I've decided to create a new thread.



A new web serial has been launched with two chapters unleashed called Magik Online written by VoidHerald and beta'd and edited by myself, the Zog.

Here's the official synopsis:

Mathias Martel, a creative teenager, dreams of freedom on a conquered Earth where magic is a resource to fight over, a dragon despot rules the stars, and apocalypse cults are on the rise. A mysterious email changes his life, inviting him to test an application granting him magical powers. So long as he fulfills the requests of unknown benefactors.

Embroiled in a power game he barely understands, Mathias must build a crack team of ninjas, gargoyles, knights, and many more. Toppling the government should be easy, right?

Even with only two chapters released a lot of plot hooks have been established to be going places, from Mathias figuring out how his new powers work, the on-going mystery of his enigmatic benefactor, a kidnapping conspiracy, and a quickly growing cast of eclectic characters.

I need to force myself to read more, preferably something that's not manga. I will definitely pick this up!
