Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[X] Taylor: ABB
[X] Samantha: Empire

The ABB seems like the most dangerous fight and hence where we'll be most useful, and the PRT is definitely going to need help with the empire. This plan also means we don't have to deal with diplomacy, which is where we are weakest.

*Also, we are probably the best bet for dealing with Butcher non-lethally which makes ABB a priority for us.

You do remember that Samantha has abilities Taylor does not, right? Like immunity to heat and radiation? Even if you want to stick with fighting the E88 and Teeth/Fallen/ABB, you really the matchups backwards. Kaiser only has two ranged/flying capes, three if he gives up on Othala invincibility, so we have almost total battlefield superiority.

Lisa has a grudge against us and is too dangerous to let free. We also don't really have time for her. We should hit hard and fast, then get out and deal with the flying nuke.
I agree.
But killing her?
Just shoot her and her companions with non-letal Solar Wrath and forget about them.

I don't want to deal with Purity. All we can offer her is "I'll scan you, and if you have Linker core, and if you are ready to give up your power, I''l give you new power and Ziz-immunity. Probably."
But what about her teammates? About civilians with them?
Do you think we can save them too? Do you planning to let them go? Do you believe that Purity agree to give them up?

Em, they are both immune.

...I can't decide.
I want to stop ABB/Teeth/Fallen/Duumvirate clusterfuck, but what if we don't have enough firepower to stop Lung? He probably is full dragon already.
On the other hand, they "aren't far from here", so headquarters and Danny could be in danger.

[X][Taylor] Kill Lisa with Wide Area Search and a lethal snipe attack, then go talk down Purity.
[X][Samantha] Security

We are talking about Ziz here. Ziz. Let's not wait until the time bomb explode.

Because in terms of extending our options, this makes the most sense. Sam is much more ruthless compared to us, and she is more than capable of dealing with the three-way struggle with the ABB. And we're more fast enough to get to and stop Purity's group. Hopefully we can talk her down if she wants to fight, but if not we still have the most optimal moveset for subduing her. Night and Fog will be a problem if it devolves into a fight, but hopefully it won't go that far.

Not holding out hope on that honestly, so we need to be ready for it just in case. Also, what the fuck people?!

For the last time, LISA IS NOT THE THREAT YOU PEOPLE ARE MAKING HER OUT TO BE! Stop being paranoid about her and just think about the consequences of letting Purity's group roam free, or Kaiser and the ABB escape.

In comparison to that, the Independent group is way lower on the priority scale, especially since most of their Parahuman muscle is currently regulated to transportation. If we have to do so - and if it's an option, though I doubt it wouldn't be since they shouldn't be able to get that far - we can search for them with WAS and pin them down then. And not immediately try to kill Lisa. Hell, she can't even read us properly - the one thing that started the animosity between us and her in the first place - so why you guys keep putting her as a threat that needs to be taken down right now is beyond me.

Because even in canon she was an irredeemable monster who just happened to be Taylor's friend. We had an opportunity to make her OUR monster by getting her out from under the thumb of a bigger monster, but that didn't happen, so we should put her down.

She has a grudge against us and is headed our way. We don't want to leave her flapping in the wind until she takes down Danny out of spite.

...What?? No she wasn't. In canon she was a selfish bitch that did what was best for her people and damn the others. Taylor pulled her out of that mindset more often than not but she's a pragmatic person at her core. Hell, if she didn't have the urge to be the smartest person in the room she would be a lot better off, but that's a big aspect of her character.

At no point does she prove herself to be an irredeemable monster. A jerkass like all of the other Undersiders certainly, but nowhere near being a fucking monster. Fuck, you just compared her to the S9!

I realize I'm likely wasting my time with your delusional hatred, but this is rather ridiculous. She and Jack are not similar at all.
She admits to exactly this during the warlords arc, in fact shortly before Jack shows up.

You can interpret her actions more favorably if you like, and if you can get her onside you can even work with her, but we're already on her bad side. There's no advantage in letting her live.

Okay, no she isn't heading anywhere near us.

"Everybody was already going after those two groups or dealing with the Teeth and Fallen when a bunch more people came out and ran south. More families, but they had capes riding on big dog monsters with them. They didn't hurt anybody, which is more than I can saw for the others, but between the dogs and all the smoke one of them was spewing out, we couldn't get a clear shot."

The Undersiders and the other Independents are focused on heading South. Running away from us. If they end up in Philly then thems the breaks, but Lisa is not out to kill us or Danny.

You really think that she would put herself and her team on the chopping block to get back at a girl that keeps getting stronger and has no discernible upper limit in power? If you do, that's sad.

She deliberately guided a possibly-suicidal aspiring hero down a slippery slope into villainy while nudging her into burning any bridges she could use to get herself back out.

Comparing her to Jack sounds exactly right.

...no she didn't. She stopped Taylor from killing herself while having full knowledge of Taylor's intention to become a hero and eventually betray the Undersiders. If she wasn't there and decided that Taylor deserves some kind of happiness in her life, the story would've ended prematurely.

...God I hate having this argument. It's like talking to a brick fucking wall; especially when you're blatantly spouting out dishonest shit about Lisa.

There's no advantage is auto assuming she's out to ruin our lives and/or kill our dad as well. That's nothing more than unfounded and rampant paranoia and bloodlust on your part.

Considering canon!Taylor likely would have died horribly her first night out via Lung had Lisa and crew not intervened and socialized with her shortly afterwards...

From Worm 11.04
"Where did you say your house was?" Lisa asked the older woman.

"Dewitt and Pagne."

Lisa turned and found the area on the map. She held the marker so it hovered over the spot. "And they'd moved in? You're sure?"

"They've been there for four days, as far as I can tell. I'm afraid to get too close, but there's always people there."

Lisa colored in a small section of the map with yellow highlighter, extending the size of a nearby block of the Merchant's territory. "I know it's small consolation, but at least now others will know to steer clear."

"Okay," the woman answered with a note of sadness in her voice. "That's all I wanted."

"Things will get better," Lisa promised, smiling gently.

The woman smiled back in return, glancing at the open area of cots and displaced people. With a light laugh, she said, "I suppose they have to, don't they?"

"That's the spirit." Lisa grinned.

This is how Lisa acted in canon in the aftermath of an Endbringer. You will notice a distinct lack of mustache twirling and perhaps recall that she could be surprisingly altruistic.

Given that her crimes so far in this quest are being a little mean to us, getting detained by a group that we saw was being prejudiced toward villains, and shepherding some civilians and minor capes to safety I think that maybe there are some higher priority targets.

...How?
Linker cores are extremely rare and we even can't be sure that Device bonding can help.
If they have the core, we can make a device and it will work. The telepathic security is part of the transmission. This is why Taylor is immune to the Simurgh.
Yes, it give telepathic protection against future Master attacks, but what about already implanted commands?
Simurgh's control is by exerting telekinesis with a hint of psychic.
She doesn't actually implant commands as much as set up pieces for her to control. Ergo, if we establish the shields they'll be fine.
As I've said before, the matter is making people wait for Taylor to recharge after every device produced and core unlocked.

The dude didn't say anything about the break-off group being pursued. The fact that it's a break-off I thought a big enough indication that it's not getting any people on it.
There are capes going after all four groups, but who is in what group is different. Capes with less lethal powers after Purity and the independents, capes with lethal powers after the Empire, and the biggest of the big names after the ABB. I thought that there were capes on each group would be fairly obvious, but perhaps not.

Yeah, that's a pretty signifigant change.
Taylor wouldn't be the only thing between Purity, her group, and freedom. The implication so far has been people slipping between the cracks due to lack of numbers to stop them, not people being there and they push through anyway.

They are the most dangerous capes, fighting not far from HQ. They are definitely need Recursion Field.
Lung's pyrokinesis and Valefor's mastering are useless against Taylor and Sam.
Lung's escalation could be hindered by Sam's Shredding Claw.

Maximum Power, Total Befriending!

The groups after Purity and the independent villains aren't large, not like they are for the Empire, but there are groups going after them. You have to realize that the PRT's biggest, biggest fear is that one of these capes, or even the civilians with them, is a Ziz-bomb who's set to cause tremendous damage. On the other hand, most probably aren't Ziz-bombs, and none of the heroes want to go around slaughtering innocents like Tagg and his kill-squads did. The Purity/Independents group are going to try* to capture the escapees and bring them back to Brockton Bay alive.

* Note that "try" is the operative word here. If the escapees, the capes especially, fight back enough…. Well, some collateral damage is expected in this situation. Can't be too careful with those affected by the Simurgh.

see. we can help subdue civilians. let the normal killy capes go to kaiser, and lets help contain the independents!;)
