Excellent, our plan is working then😏

You just had to say something.....
I know you were joking, but being that close to finally closing this out, to finally getting to see what was through that door, and getting a vote against it because of the joke is frustrating.
I wanted to do this one last vote but SW implied in a comment or two that "Dire things would happen" if we didn't help out vs. The Fallen 3* or do Bone of the Father 3**, since SW's Muse is vetoing doing Fallen 3 we might as well do Daddy's Little Girl (IIRC this arc is supposed to have 4 or 5 weeks, so we'll have at least one more week after this)
*At this point if the PRT and Protectorate can't handle The Fallen then they kind of deserve all the shit talk we can give them. Heck, if they attack a major city: Declare them an S class threat, sound the Endbringer alarms and treat them like the monsters they want to emulate. (If the S9 can get Kill Orders for being a member of a Gang, why can't The Fallen as a whole?)
**Somehow losing the entire PRT Mages corps or one of them being taken and forced to reveal the Guardian Beast ritual would have been fully in line with our unfortunate track record of "Incomplete quests are worse than unstarted quests"
The comments from SW weren't 'dire things WILL happen if you, personally, are not around to manage them', but more a matter of 'There will be consequences to your actions. Do you want to be involved with those consequences', and even that was only on Burn the Sinners. The attack on the resort was already a consequence of Ziz being taken out, so taking out her branch of the Fallen was bound to cause more problems, but we discussed that extensively in the thread before SW included that in the description for the BtS option of the current vote.
The consequences of not doing the gang arc would most likely either have been nothing happening(as there is no need for the Pentagram assault to happen at this exact time), or them breaking up this group but with a number of people(capes and mundanes) escaping. Remember, every last Mage is the equivalent of a Brute 5 or so, on top of their other abilities, so losing even one or two Mages was unlikely, but not impossible.
A note, though: The people we just fought beside were not the entirety of the PRT forces. They were the flight capable members.
Erm, I don't know how you got that. If its about the Privateers they would have gone off the deep end anyways since Taylor never really got involved with them. What partially doing the questline did was allow us to salvage parts of the Privateers (i.e. Lacey and Tim) and get them away from the Privateers before the group crossed the point of no return.
There's also some members of the privateers that left before the point was crossed (partly probably because of Taylor).
I honestly can't really recall which questline ended up being worse having been partially completed than not taking the questline at all.
The Privateers would only have gone off the deep end from the result of the second vote of the entire game. It was losing Danny that made the Philly group self destruct, a role we could have stepped into if we had worked with them more in the past or if we were willing to expend several votes rebuilding the team.
The first part of the group we lost were the people who didn't come to Philly with us after BB got Endbringered.
The number of assertions that run directly contrary to what SW has said or that get repeated over and over despite SW never saying such a thing bug me. I know we're all guilty of them, including me, but I try really hard to question my assumptions, including my assumptions about what I'm assuming and whether a thing I remember seeing did actually happen.
