The Museum of National History was not typically considered a liminal place. During the daytime, it was filled with both tourists and patriots. As one of the finest such institutions in the land, it reliably drew large crowds. One of the biggest draws was the sword Radiant Chooser. Once upon a time it was forged to fight off an incursion from Baator. In the days after Asmodeus was repelled, it became the badge of office for the Kings and Queens of the land, for Radiant Chooser would not allow one who did not love justice to wield it. Since the revolution, however, it has sat in the museum, rejecting all attempts to take it from it's plinth.
And so it sat this night, alone in the dark. Until, abruptly, it wasn't. It strobed angrily in response.
The red skinned intruder chuckled, "Why am I here? Why else would I be here? It is time."
And then three more beings appeared in the room around the plinth. The robed man spoke first, "Don't forget your part Asmodeus." He said, a chatter of tweets from the goldfinches around him emphasizing his words.
The red skinned man waves his hand dismissively, "Yes yes, command of the invasion will be given to one of my subordinates, I must offer to empower one of this world's defenders free of charge, and anything I happen to be told of my subordinates' plans must be conveyed to that defender. If she chooses to accept my offer."
The sword strobed again, this time in a huff.
<I already showed you the math>, interjected the small felinesque animal to the swords' left, <This is our best chance to fend off Baator once more.>
The woman laughed, branches swaying, "I think dear Radiant may have objections beyond mere effectiveness."
<I don't understand such concerns.> Was the reply.
The red skinned man clapped, "Well, we all have champions to make our offers to, and we should be off, yes?" He smirked, and disappeared.
Shortly, the sword and the robbed man with the birds were alone in the room.
"I'm also unhappy it came to this. None should have to bear the burden of fighting Baator so young." The man's voice was sorrowful. The Sword strobed comfort.
And then the Sword was once again alone on it's plinth.
It casts Telepathy. It has an offer to make.

I am running a magical girl game in the system and setting of 5e DnD. On this planet, the peace treaty that ended the last incursion from Baator ensures that the next one follows magical girl tropes.
Rules for this game:
4d6 drop lowest, six times, rolled on SV. If you don't like your array you can switch to point buy.
Warlocks only, and no multi-classing. You start at level 3.
Characters must be girls, must be of Good Alignment, and must be standard magical girl age.
Setting is modern.
Background for all characters is "schoolgirl" which lets you pick any two abilities to be proficient in, and the feature from Sage.
Starting equipment is an arcane focus, and mundane stuff a schoolgirl would have only. Because Magical Girls start with their transformation trinket, not with swords and armor.
All characters get the Armor of Shadows invocation for free, and can cast it on themselves as a bonus action.
Spells that do force damage are pink.
Allowed races are any from PHB or Volo's. vHuman is permitted (and thus feats).
I will accept at most 5 PCs, and each must have a different patron. Patrons from PHB and Xanathar's are allowed. It is not first come first serve, but rather by which characters catch my interest most.
Game will be held on Discord at times to be determined once players are accepted.
