It is Age 726, and you are born. In this world there are many races. And many Universes. What...

No, we don't.
I'll go with:
[X] Human; The slowest race to get stronger at first, and one of the lowest power level starting point. Power increases are dependent on your own power level. Though there are long forgotten secrets, can you rediscover them?
Though I wouldn't mind Frieza race or Kai either.
As a human fighter, here's a checklist of things to aim for in order to become powerful and keep up with the aliens, starting from DB era through to Super.
Naturally the most important of these steps are 1, 4, 5, 9, 10 and 11, especially step 9 since 17 proves that all a human needs to have to keep up with a Super Saiyan Blue are those augmentations and years of training.
- Learn both the Turtle School and Crane School
- Learn all the interesting martial arts techniques unique to specific DB era fighters
- Train with Korin
- Train with Kami
- Train with King Kai and learn the kaioken and spirit bomb
- Have Guru unlock my potential
- Train in a heavy gravity chamber
- Get Goku to teach me the Instant Transmission
- Get Bulma and her father to give me the same augmentations that 17 and 18 have
- Have Elder Kai unlock my potential
- Get Whis to train me
Compared to that certainty the others are just bonuses to make sure we definitely become the strongest in the universe.
Also:[] Namekian; A race of green slug people, all you need is water to survive. Able to reproduce asexually, and reaching physical maturity at a young age, this race is truly something special. Especially those of the Dragon clan, whom can create the legendary dragon balls. Will you choose to be them, or the warrior clan, whom can fuse with eachother for even greater strength.
Bit of a correction here but Namekians actually age at the same rate humans and saiyans do. Piccolo was the exception, he was able to reach physical maturity in only 3 years because as King Piccolo's reincarnation he inherited his "fathers" Eternal Youth which speed up his physical growth rate drastically compared to the Namekian norm.
Let me guess, some forgotten Super Human transformation or special ritual to unlock God Ki like the Super Saiyan God ritual? No offense but humans in dragonball don't actually need OC things like that to keep up with the aliens, gods and demons. Humans just need to power game intelligently rather then just train using the same methods over and over again in the vain hope of keeping up with the saiyans if they keep it up for enough years like the human z-fighters did before even they gave it up as a bad job(Piccolo's still going at it but he's got Eternal Youth and can afford to wait the Saiyans out till he becomes the most powerful mortal by default).Note, everyone, I shall reveal a forgotten secret if human is indeed chosen.
Now now, no need to mock the GM, I have my own plans for the humans. And trust me when I say it's not bullshit power ups.Let me guess, some forgotten Super Human transformation or special ritual to unlock God Ki like the Super Saiyan God ritual? That type of training is important, but so is grabbing every power-up and bullshit technique ever displayed in Dragonball, and most of those aren't even situational and time-limited like the Guru power-up! King Kai, Elder Kai and Whis are all but standing around waiting for people to come to them for training, as is Bulma with Gero's blueprints. And yet only the saiyans sought them out or took advantage of them when they showed up.
Sorry but making humans the same as saiyans by giving humans their own transformations tends to be the most common method of making humans relavent in dragonball fanfiction, even when it wouldn't actually be needed if the human Z-Fighters actually trained smarter rather then just harder. Now now, no need to mock the GM, I have my own plans for the humans. Train smarter and harder. Yes, and it's very sad from a human pride perspective that only the saiyans did that in dragonball.Train smarter and harder. That's what one needs to get stronger.
I, personally, am not fond of the Gero idea. But the gravity chamber? Sign me up!Yes, and it's very sad from a human pride perspective that only the saiyans did that in dragonball.
The only times humans have ever had a power-up, either Kami's training, Guru unlocking Krillin's potential, Gero turning Lapis and Lazuli into Cyborgs 17 and 18 or Babadi's magic, it was something that either just popped up without them bothering to seek it out or was forced on them against their will.
- Go to King Kai's and learn the Kaioken and Spirit Bomb(despite Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo and Chiaotzu all training there, only Goku learned his techniques).
- Learn the Instant Transmission(No one actually asked Goku to train them to use it despite how useful it is)
- Train in a Heavy Gravity Chamber(only Goku, Vegeta and kid Trunks have done this. Yamcha tried in filler but he set it up too high and gave up after that incident)
- Have Elder Kai unlock their potential(only Gohan, despite the Elder Kai being perfectly willing to do so if you can pay his price(give him some porn)).
- Train under Whis(only Goku and Vegeta did this despite how easy it is to get Whis to train you(bribe him with food)).
The human Z-fighters never bothered to take advantage of the opportunities they had to match the saiyans, either using the technology developed by the human super scientist Dr. Gero( I myself am fond of this method because there's something that's just so human about humans using tools and technology to match the physical capabilities of other species), or seek out the literally heavenly training opportunities they had and getting the Gods and Angels to train them.

They probably figured they wouldn't be around long enough to learn it and master it. Remember, Goku picks up techniques with terrifying speed. He learned the Kamehameha by watching Roshi do it once and he didn't even know how to access his energy!(or Ki as I'll be calling it)
