While it struggles to stand up to most peer opponents in a direct engagement, the 96th Fleet has enough starfighters to ensure the battle won't come to that.

In addition to fielding larger than average number of battleships and having a squadron of dreadnoughts, the majority of the cruisers are heavy cruisers whilst almost all of the light escort ships are destroyer-weight. It lacks tactical mobility and hangar space, but 43rd Fleet more than makes up for it in raw ability to dish out damage and take it in turn.
