Decided to start crossposting this from main place so gradually shift it over onto here.
A socially awkward man ends up in another world as an, unfortunately, short and fuzzy warrior of light of a world completely different from that one. And they're not the only phantom of that world.

Or I continue trying to figure out how to write and use this to distract from other anxiety. (Ended up fairly light-hearted mostly, Ghost Game elements/crossover primarily on the digimon side. GG direct stuff appears later.)
Other thing - Holy Dragoon (Aka that MHA/Digimon Hackmon SI referenced once as a full chapter)
So, remember that Hackmon bit? It's among things I'm writting a chapter of as an idea and I actually did it and since it WAS in this story first. And also cause its still digimon.

In the age of heroes, there was pretty much one goal just about every person had growing up. To be a hero, which was admittedly pretty much impossible for most but a lot of them could probably get a few points for trying.

Unless like they want to be a villain for some reason or just another career path. But the spotlight on the heroes pretty much ensured the vast majority of the citizens of Japan would end up looking up to them as a result. All things considered, it was probably better than not having that considering the spread of quirks, which were essentially superpowers of all kinds, among the populace. Something that up-and-coming heroes were trained at in hero schools, provided they qualified.

This brings us to Kirishima, a black-haired (for the time being) teenager in the middle of preparing himself for such a qualification. He'd been following his own plan to prepare for the entrance exam to UA, the best hero school in the city, but the sudden and recent appearance of a dojo based around training the physical capabilities of a person caught his attention. It felt like a useful step forward, considering how his quirk meant how important being physically strong and able was.

That and how the poster emphasized the "royal knight" training the owners had received really caught his eye in building up a chivalrous spirit of his own to help him stand out... even if they apparently said that's also secret but could do some of their own.

Also, it was apparently on the cheaper end of things and any bargain is a good one right? And one of the other students at his school had talked about this place being pretty kick-ass.

The large inside, a multitude of punching bags (including one that strangely had a hole stabbed in the bottom of it), weights, and fighting mats were all encouraging signs to him.

That it was currently empty besides something asleep on the desk, covered by a red cloak, with a book open in front of them seemed less so. Although it was pretty eye-catching so there was that. Still, he ignored it for waking up and pushing the desk bell to see if anyone was in and to make sure they hadn't just accidentally left the door unlocked.

In hindsight, he should have realized it'd both wake up and startle the thing on the desk.

"I DIDN'T STOP STUDYING!" Said thing shouted in fear as it shot up awake. It was a large dog-sized four-legged draconic lizard with white armored skin, gold eyes, two large triangular ears, a horn on the end of its muzzle, and black claws on all of its limbs. The red cloak even turned out to have goggles sewn into it.

The dragon creature quickly looked around before noticing Kirishima awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck as he gave them an equally awkward wave in greeting. Prompting it to calm down as it glanced back at the room behind the desk, with its ears twitching at some movement it could hear.

"Woah sorry, little... uh." The voice certainly sounded like a guy, one his age at that, at least from what he got from the screaming but given quirks and how they lacked any clear physical traits to signal either way.

"Oh right. Guy, pink girl asked the same thing." He quietly spoke and nodded as he answered Kirishima's question before making a strangely awkward attempt to stretch his legs, like he wasn't entirely used to his limbs, before moving into a sitting position on his hind legs, "So-sorry I thought you were... one of the girls. I think they're just finishing up some stuff but it might take a minute. I- uh. Sorry." He shook his head before mumbling some words under his breath that Kirishima wasn't able to make out himself. "Noir and Ciel are out, Aren't they? Think they are..." His muttering ended with a shake of his head. His voice increased in volume as he faced Kirishima again, "Uh right- uh. I'm watching the desk. Hi! Sorry for falling asleep and uh... Shit."

"Hey don't worry it's all fine man!"

"No, I just realized... how do I work the register?" The draconic boy tilted his head as he glanced down at his front legs, then the register, and finally back again, "Sorry... I think there might be a free first-time session thing? Like if you still want to try anything but you'll have to wait for one of the girls in the back... Fair warning they're... Uhm."

"Pretty?" Kirishima, in an attempt to reassure and calm the small dragon, asked in a bit of light-of-hearted sarcasm.

"...I guess. I was going to say, terrifying... Or intense?" His eyes wandered downward before shooting up at him in alarm again, "Don't tell them I said that though!"

"Don't tell them what?" A young feminine voice called out as a girl with silver hair and eyes entered through the door behind the desk, the latter seemingly having pupils in the shape of a cross. She wore a white almost nun-like dress with gold trimmings and on her head had a bright pink, rabbit-like piece of headwear that trailed all the way down past the skirt part of her dress. Said girl immediately became happy as she skipped up to the desk, beaming at Kirishima, "Hey there! Welcome to the Holy Dragoon! What kind of ass-kicking are you looking to learn?"

Kirishima blinked at the small girl before turning to the other person here still sitting on the desk, who simply nodded expecting the usual question of if she was serious. "Blanc is really good, so are the other two but... uh. Yes."

"Well if you're sure..." Kirishima tilted his head as another thought occurred to him before pointing at the draconic boy, who quirked up a curious brow in response, "So if she's one of the guys in charge..."

"I just live here... And with them... They're friends..." His got quiet enough that nobody but himself could hear them again as he shrugged his shoulders, at least that's what it looked like he was doing, "Well kind of."

"We're his chaperones, Chief saved our lives way back so looking after him is a way of paying him back." Sistermon Blanc added, not hearing the last words spoken by the other digimon, before cracking her knuckles with a bright smile, "Alrighty let's see what we got here."

Kirishima had to quietly admit, paying someone back for saving your life by looking after what sounds like their kid? That sounded pretty manly.

----

There's probably some explanation worth going through about the whole Hackmon thing I got going here. Well, I woke up that way, and the Sistermon were around along with Gankoomon. Apparently right after that whole reset thing after the eater incident... To the point that any explanation I tried to give in the initial panic didn't exactly work out so well. I think they took it into consideration before they made me just pick up where he took off. Unless it was an intentional part of it? Hard to say, couldn't even come up with much of an argument on it even with the others suggesting some kind of fused mind/soul situation from the reset so I gave up on arguing.

Quite some months ago all that.

Also, I didn't try that hard against his suggestions because Gankoomon is kind of terrifying and I'd rather not argue with him more than I have to. He's not dumb so I assume he knows what he's talking about, or more than he lets on.

And I may have let slip things like Marcus and his 'I'll fist fight anything including mega levels and god.' Those two get along well enough that I'm not even going to stay in the same valley as both of them when they're together if I can help it.

...I may have also offhandedly mentioned some stuff I used to watch a few times and the topic of places that did training came up, which got them curious enough to get Yggdrasil to check if they existed to check them out.

In my defense when I mentioned superhero school, I was actually talking about Sky High and had zero intention or knowledge they'd drag us out here. But we ended up here, at the Sistermon's insistence once they got a look. I think they just wanted to do a dojo thing here, to be frank, those ladies and Gankoomon have a funny idea for what counts as sane training.

Maybe that's why they wanted to come here, the land of 'hey children breaking their bones to become heroes is pretty alright.'

The Sistermon for the record are also terrifying, to varying degrees. Never let Ciel drive, that's all I'm saying about her in that area. Blanc is alright... but she's still punched me hard enough in the face that I didn't have very many teeth for the rest of the night. I'm not dumb enough to mention anything when it comes to Noir.

Still, we haven't actually derailed anything and I'm pretty sure Mina coming here, it's just been a few lessons... Not sure why she came here at all. But whatever, at least with her I could preemptively hide behind the desk. As for now...

----

I quietly watched the black haired-teenage boy excitedly talk to Sistermon Blanc, nice kid I guess. And I'm not mad at all for him scaring the crap out of me by ringing the bell next to me after I fell asleep studying on the desk just like Noir has taken to doing.

And Noir is kind of a jerk at times.

Look it's not my fault studying is even more boring when you can't even get notes down without major effort due to a lack of hands. And putting a pencil in my mouth just makes it thoroughly illegible. Thankfully the Sistermon weren't aware of which hero school here was the best so I can stay the hell away from the walking disaster zone that is UA by just lying about that.

They might be good enough with computers to forge identities and all of that without issue but they're taking me at my word way too easily. Digimon for the win I guess, and they're not likely to look it up so probably won't notice until it's too late.

...Well they shouldn't notice so long as Mina doesn't recommend this place to anyone else from or going there since I avoided her bringing it up with them around. But I don't think I'm in the clear, more than this guy who just got thrown to the floor, I think. My attention was more on my book at this point but peeking over it showed a new crack in the ground. Tough kid.

Well, I suppose at worst they might change the entrance exam scores but I doubt that really matters in any long-term way.

Whatever his name is... I think they wrote it down on the registry once I stopped paying attention, and I can see that if I peek behind at the desk behind me- Oh god fucking dammit.

"So what's this I hear about UA being the best hero school around? And not Shiketsu like you said?" Blanc suddenly asked looking over my book with a smile on her face and a glare in her eyes, the teenage boy that I now knew was Kirishima was slowly getting back up to his feet with a massive grin on his face. Great, he likes them and he's probably just got me in trouble, wonderful.

"Maybe he just got mixed up?" Kirishima suggested, letting out a groan as he dusted himself up before beaming at Blanc, "That was awesome by the way."

Probably, and I missed it but whatever.

I'd get angry at him but he couldn't have known what I was doing... and honestly, he's rather nice. So I stared at her back for a few seconds, before glancing at the television in the dojo's corner and carefully turned up the volume without saying a word by using one of my hind legs to turn up the news that we had going in the back... ground. Oh god dammit.

Hero Killer Stain, apprehended by concerned civilians! Interview on the scene!

How... how did that happen? I haven't even done- oh... I know that voice.

Said voice was a cheerful somewhat older teenage feminine voice, but not the most mature sounding one I knew so that narrowed it down. And even if it was blurred out could make out the black headwear that I'm pretty certain was one of the other Sistermon. The blur that was behind her with blue headwear also kind of made it clear. "...At which point I told him to back off or to try me bitch, and he did! Unluckily for him, he did decide to try me and I had my pieces!"

"...Your pieces?" The confused interviewer asked.

"Anthony! Both of them. I can pull these bad boys out at any time. So anyway, I started blasting!"

...So much for avoiding making an impact. And I haven't even DONE anything yet. Dammit Noir! And Ciel too you were with her how'd that happen!

Note: Okay to note something I've got a few MHA ideas, this is the one referenced within this fic itself. So might be worth a gag or to think about doing. The other two in it are as follows.
Medabots, with SI as a reactivated one from the past of MHA before quirks derailed tech but I got nothing for that in where to go.
Or as a silly one, I do a spin off to LGaD and have from the digital world arc Strabimon and company there making their own "mystery investigation club" at UA. Would reference YJ but nobody from there in it. Basically making them a walking noodle incident when they talk about stuff here up to something on their own to an outside perspective. And because, well imagine Tokoyami finding out what Ludgermon is despite how he acts, not his kind of darkness embracement that.
This one has fastest canon derail in the west.
Its less a break and more I'm slowing down a lot but I've been meaning to start doing next chapters words here and there but haven't gotten to it.

Spin off idea - UA’s mystery research club
Honestly this is one that once I started had trouble going anywhere and got stumped a lot. I'll probably get back to normal chapters after this and christmas. Also merry christmas ya animals.
----
The day had just finished wrapping up for those at the prestigious hero school of UA, mostly for the department of heroes which can be traced to multiple well-regarded hero careers, including that of this world's most well-renowned and admired hero All Might. Which is actually a pretty good thing to have on your school resume all things considered, even if it does mean having to deal with more eyes on the school than just about any other high school.

Largely from those either wanting to see the next big hero come out of it or wanting to descend on any possible controversy as quickly as possible like a rabid vulture.

Or someone just waiting for something cool to happen.

Regardless it was well past the point most of the non-hero courses should have left if they had nothing extra on their course so a good deal of the school should be gone home. Especially since it was early enough in the school year that it was unlikely the first years would still be around. Normally takes some time for them to adapt to UA.

Or that there'd be sounds of what almost sounded like a struggle coming from one of the computer rooms. That one was especially odd, even if some of the computers had been on the fritz lately there wasn't much reason anyone could have to be there. At least as far as the R-rated hero: Midnight knew, besides maybe enthusiastic students?

She could make out a pair of voices, young male ones from the sounds of it, as she got closer to investigate out of idle curiosity. Moving in a quieter manner than she usually does to try and listen in.

"...How different is this from your first time anyway? I wasn't around for that. Which sucks but it's also fun now, like a revisit of greatest hits!"

"Got a funny idea of what counts as greatest hits. Besides this is involved a different mon, actually never heard of this one before... The last one didn't shock me, although none of the computers blew up so yay? Oh and this also didn't end with them dy- hm." The second voice suddenly stopped as Midnight got close to the door, confusing her for a second as what sounded like sniffing came from the other side. But before she could process that the computer room door suddenly opened in front of her and revealed two first-year students, general education going from their uniforms.

The first voice turned out to belong to an anthropomorphic panther-like feline teenager who was staring at him with cheerful grey eyes, Midnight almost thought he was wearing yellow eyeliner until he realized that was just fur. Although their grey hair-like mane, in contrast to the closer-to-black fur of their face, which was of a medium length followed suit by having yellow tips. The only notable odd parts of to the uniform were the black fingerless gloves leaving his claws uncovered and the yellow toeless shoes. The boy strangely held his arms out like he was carrying some kind of ball rather tightly, except for the part where his arms were visibly empty.

Midnight wasn't sure their personal adjustments to the uniform worked all that well, although they oddly gave the impression that they were on the prettier end of mutants despite their feline appearance. The fur patterns also seemed rather natural and not anything dyed.

The second one was a bipedal wolf-like teen, shorter than the other and just on the shorter side of things in general, with white fur around his face and the chest which was visible due to how he clearly was unable to button it properly due to the notable amount of fluff there and had light-purple colored fur elsewhere. The black gloves with a belt around his wrists notably had fairly large claws sticking out of them. His amber-colored eyes contained diamond-shaped pupils that quickly shifted from a tired to an anxious expression, a notable indicator was that the ears on the top of his head lowered slightly, as he looked up at Midnight even as the other boy walked up close behind him.

Didn't take much to figure that even if they didn't hear her, it was very likely they had been able to smell him coming close going from the canine nose they had. Although the sudden shift from tired to anxious would indicate he didn't know what to expect exactly.

Notably, parts of his fur seemed a little burnt, and he an odd and sudden shift to an annoyed glare aimed directly at the arms of the feline who without a single word constricted his arms tighter around the apparent nothing in his arms. That appeared to satisfy them as he turned back to look up at Midnight.

"Hi uh. Miss. Teacher? Yeah... We were just..." The Wolf boy awkwardly trailed off, his pupils bouncing in thought as his body tensed up, "I... there's a good reason for being in this room at this time I swear. I just..."

"Is one that is actually the truth or are you just trying to cover up something naughty?" Midnight quickly decided on trying to disarm the tension, really it wasn't like they'd get in actual trouble from what she can tell it was just strange, with teasing, "I know how young boys can get."

"Computer rooms haunted!" The cat cheerfully answered, sounding oddly earnest and sincere for such a declaration. Something that caught the other off guard for a brief second as they glanced back at them before they shrugged. Likely a good thing too since her own comment only seemed to at best annoy them.

"Well, technically not that but... I mean... it was pretty haunted."

"About to be less so!"

And with that comment, one of the computer screens in the back of the room suddenly cracked whilst the computer itself suddenly had smoke coming out of it. That... was a bit more confusing than anything else for Midnight, the wolf boy just once again turned to look at the space between the feline's arms in some mixture between annoyance and anger.

"They're not meant to do that right?" At this point, the sincerity they were showing was actually getting concerning for Midnight.

----

This whole situation probably needs a little explanation. Or a summary, regardless the most important thing was this.

It wasn't my fault. Or my idea.

The main thing I had learned so far is that digimon should be really damn careful whenever they get an idea for faster transportation or messing with portals. And also that Flamemon SHOULD NOT kick things when inpatient if they involve science. Yeah, damn hothead. He's around but off on his own, cover more ground that way.

Plus he doesn't have the family excuse Ludgermon, Symbare, and I have for sticking close to each other.

The main thing is that we were still fairly focused on just training with Blitzmon, and had actual experience with navigating a human world that was unfamiliar. And, my having actually been one even if that was something over a year ago we were among the better options to go check on the newly opened portals other side after it was stabilized since predictably some digimon got to the other side and it's hard to tell from here if the locals knew how to deal with 'ghost' digimon.

They don't by the way, Thunderballmon the electrocuting asshole proved that quite handily. As for the high school uniform thing...

----

"The humans here look odd, for them I mean. Sometimes." Ludgermon observed from our spot on a rooftop overlooking what seemed to be a fairly modern city. Kind of normal for the most part, besides the giant H-shaped building with its windows reflecting the blue sky visible from a distance.

Not sure why you'd want it to look like an H, style points I guess? Kind of expect that stuff from digimon. Typically.

"Yep, I went down earlier and didn't get any comment on my looks! Besides the lack of a shirt but eh, it'd be their loss." Symbare chimed in as he sat on the edge of the roof, being pretty relaxed about that, "Did get some questions about a costume or some new pro-hero. Whatever that means, guess this world has superheroes as well. As a guess, does any of the stuff so far ring any bells Kid?"

"Nope. So can we get off of here and back to Flamemon please?" I nervously questioned, doing the opposite of him and standing as close to the center as possible. Look falling even from this height isn't even likely to hurt any of us, but it's not as if it's still not kind of terrifying. I did get a round of nods, prompting me to grab a hold of Symbare before closing my eyes, and feeling the wind as we descended. Kept them closed until Symbare gave the all-clear, long enough after it stopped for Flamemon to catch back up.

Wasn't much to say about the street we were on, it looked like any other higher-end part of a city in terms of how built up it was. Flamemon was waving at us with a gleeful smile, seemed like he took a note from Symbare and didn't even bother being dematerialized if it was not going to bother people here.

"That big place is a high school! And guess what's haunted as hell! Well kind of haunted, do we call them hauntings?" Flamemon's excitement was visible... and I could feel Symbare smiling like a madman behind me. Is he seriously going to suggest what I think he's going to do.

I realize we have a lot of time to kill but come on.

"...We'll sneak in and deal with it. I'm not getting in-"

----

I didn't win that argument. Because Ludgermon also wanted to try seeing what a human world high school would be like... Symbare was just 'the education though!' For some reason. My guess is either laziness, which I doubt, interest in another places education system or he just thought it'd be funny.

I don't buy him and Flamemon saying it'd be easier to keep an eye on it if we could deal with the people there without being out of place. I guess that we don't stand out due to how we look here all that much, which is a little weird. Less so after being to the digital world but still. Made getting the stuff to get in easier.

The fact that I've done it before and Ludgermon being an actual sibling due to light and darkness stuff had Symbare figure we'd be the better ones to register for that. As twins weirdly, not as if anyone could tell but digital world dates being different still meant he was actually older than I am by a notable bit.

At least none of them cared for that hero track, since that'd be too time-consuming to do that and handle any digimon that pop up. Plus, well combat training and all that has been handled and I've already done hero stuff, even if it was supposed to be covert. Suppose there'd be some novelty to it but I don't think there'd be a need for it to us.

The only one coming to mind anyway is Sky High, cause I saw that film a lot. And that doesn't exist here.

...Still hate exams. And uniforms, claw resistant surprisingly. Guess that's also a more common issue here.

----

That is... well it's an outfit I guess. More than what Kazemon wears.

The teacher at least backed off, in confusion from Ludgermons comment I would guess. I mean it's a fair question, I don't think someone would design the computers in mind with that but if people here can have lego for a head then fuck it I guess.

"...I mean we heard a rumor about them being weird and we got curious? It's uh, a hobby?" I added with a raised finger, for once the rumors actually lead somewhere besides some purple ball-haired kid being a creep. That happened about, seven times I think? I'm not sure if I should be some degree of impressed at the persistence, maybe he could aim that a little better though.

Although at least those times we just spooked someone, at this point I think I've just got bad luck with digimon that can electrocute others. And computer rooms.

"Should be careful with that curiosity, especially the kitten... Oh but I do enjoy the passion of youth." This teacher really needs to watch what she says, especially with that excitement and what she's wearing. "In fact... we haven't had the mystery research club open in some time, most want to go right to the hero course and they can't do clubs but I enjoy watching young detectives go about the place when they have time. And you two little ones are giving me plenty of ideas."

...I question if she and pink ball hair boy are related in some manner with the creepiness.
----
Note: Of the two ideas Hackmon probably works better, but I find amusement at having actually already experienced people about and their 'ghost' stuff. Especially since MHAs standards for crazy seem to be way lower. And also yeah Kazemon is kind of worse than Midnight.
Well, there's also a medabot one I got stumped with, and yes this was written in mind with being somewhat approachable if you hadn't read LGaD but, yeah.

Again still working through avoiding burnout of the fic itself (maybe thats why writing this was an issue?) but yeah. See if I can't get anything done by... I dunno new years? If I got commissions I probably woulda just gotten art for a Christmas thing really, probably a Symbareangoramon one about though.
