What should have been a quiet life from then on gets rudely interrupted when monsters from the sea attack, and Ayaka Shirokaze discovers she is the USS Iowa reborn, called on to fight for the survival of humanity in a world suddenly stranger than even her wildest flights of fancy could have ever conceived of. Old power, however, also means old scars, some even less welcome than others.
