Alright, I want to do a full-fledged role-play based on White Wolf's classic 90s RPG Vampire: The Masquerade. However, I am still in the early brainstorming stages of planning out the game and I want to gauge interest on a few ideas.

Before we begin, I want to lay some ground rules.

We will NOT be using the metaplot in any way, shape, or form. In my opinion, the Revised Edition metaplot is a railroady, poorly-written, ham-fisted mess of apocalyptic shenanigans that is counter-productive to the kind of story I intend to tell.

The idea I have in mind is a chronicle set in the 1990's with the intent of recreating the feel and atmosphere of the very first edition of Vampire: The Masquerade. In essence, I want to recapture the magic of the early years of White Wolf. The setting will most likely be either Chicago (the very first sourcebook city) or a heavily fictionalized version of Roanoke, Virginia. We'll start out with Vampire and then slowly introduce the other denizens of the Classic World of Darkness.

The system we will use for character creation is the Mind's Eye Theatre LARP system from back in the 1990s.

So, is anyone interested in a classic Vampire game that is a throwback to the early days of the setting?

I have doubts/questions regarding the choice of CC method, but yeah, interested.

Same as above I also find being slightly back in time leads to TONs of off topic.

wait were camera phones a thing that year?,can I make that reference? Computer and cyber differences.

Its so close that details blur and those details can be critical.

Mmm, blocky cellphones w/ built-in walkie-talkies~ So nostalgic~

I'm interested, though I have little experience with Vampire: The Masquerade. I mostly just want to learn the system, so I'd be fine with sitting out and watching if you end up with more players then you need.
