Inazuma, The so-called land of eternity, A nation brought into this world by divine providence. Like how British crushed the Shun I will pierce its veil and open it by force."

Inazuma, (Inazuman Japanese: 稲妻, Dai Inazuma Bakufu) also known as the land of eternity. Is an unitary island country in East Asia. The Inazuman-Japanese Island Group comprises 10 main islands Narukami, Kanazuka, Yashiori, Seirai, Tsurumi, Watasumi, Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and The Special Administrative Region of Enkanomiya
Inazuma City is the nation's capital and largest city. While Kyoto is the Second largest city and Capital of Japan. Followed in order of population by Sangonomiya City, Ritou, and Edo.
The Inazuman archipelago first manifested on Earth in 1468. Because of its participation in the Onin war and the subsequent Sengoku Period, forces of the Oda Shogunate landed in Watatsumi island and started the Japanese-Inazuman war. After the Oda Shogunate's defeat at Kyoto. The Raiden Shogun would issue the Kyoto Decree, formally annexing the Japanese Islands into Inazuma
In the many years of our time on the planet earth. We have never managed to find out the cause of our dislocation. Many scientists, mages, and even our almighty shogun tried in vain to find the cause of our removal from our home in Teyvat. Some say it was the gods of Celestia punishing us for our pursuit of eternity, with many others saying that it was the plot of the Tsaritsa, Watatsumi, Liyue and any other ridiculous nonsense. One thing is for certain our existence on earth has changed this world forever.
Her Holiness Yae Miko Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine.
The Dislocation was an event in the year 1468 where the Inazuman Archipelago was transported to planet earth through unknown forces. Although records of the event are sparse due to it not having any outright visible effects (OCC: like no magic walls or anything out of the ordinary) although, very soon the people of Inazuma began to notice the changes happening around.
"The Dislocation did not affect Inazuma at first. The stars and constellations being wrong in the wrong places were the first to be spotted. but the Tri-Commission suppressed any murmurs of anything wrong. It was only after shipments of goods from abroad went unfulfilled and the Appearance of the Raiden Shogun herself did Inazuma realise that something had happened. And the fact they were not in Teyvat Anymore."
Although the Inazuma Tri-Commission and the Shogun presented a calm front, towards the current crisis, They were extremely concerned for the safety and prosperity of Inazuma (with even the shogun showing some rare emotion on the matter.) They knew that if they didn't get to the bottom of what happened, Inazuma's economy could see a dramatic turn for the worse.
Luckily for the Tri-Commission Japanese fishing boats who had ventured far off shore had reported unusual varieties of fish and something in the horizon across the shore. The local lords in the area decided to investigate what was across their lands.
What they found was breathtaking.
Watatsumi Island, Home to the Sangonomiya Clan. Known for its awe-inspiring beauty and tranquillity, the sight of it blew the minds of any who first laid eyes and as one explorer in the expedition put it.
"It was as if the ocean had been dredged up from the very sea itself had risen from the depths to meet us; it was nothing like any of us have ever seen. The grass was blue. Strange plants grew everywhere, and when we landed, we saw some strange creatures. The most curious were little black things with masks covering their faces. The rats tried to kill us with their primitive weaponry. Thankfully, our samurai escort killed them before they could reach the camp we had set up. To be completely honest, I would have ran back to Japan if it wasn't for the fact we saw people."
It was after said ambush that some ashigaru from the Sangonomiya clan had encountered the landing party. They were on high alert on patrol on the lookout for any would-be bandits who would take advantage of the current panic on Watatsumi Island.
"The men we saw were clearly some fishermen and a few samurai. But we knew it wasn't one of ours or the tri-commission's men, for one their clothes were ragged and old-fashioned. Secondly the samurai's mon was clearly from a clan that we didn't know about, what was even stranger was that they spoke not with the common tongue but with a language eerily similar to our own. As the Ashigarugashira (Ashigaru commander) I asked the usual questions, where they were from and what purpose they have in Inazuma. The foreigners looked at me like I was some sort of idol to observe and after an argument by some of them they stated they were from the land of Nihon and that they never heard of Teyvat or Inazuma. Seeing as I definitely wasn't paid enough to deal with such revelations. I asked them to Sangonomiya Shrine."
The first contact between the Inazumans and The Japanese couldn't have come in a worse time for Japan. Japan was embroiled a conflict called the Onin war A dispute between the clans of a high official, Hosokawa Katsumoto, and a regional lord, Yamana Sōzen, escalated into a nationwide civil war involving the Ashikaga shogunate and a number of daimyō in many regions of Japan.
While the Ashikaga Shogunate had been paralysed by the conflict, the daimyō took the rare opportunity to conduct diplomacy directly with Inazuma's ruling elite. With many of them establishing trade routes and military support from the many factions within Inazuma. With the Tri-Commision and the Sangonomiya clan supporting the Hosowaka and Yamana respectively in a proxy conflict.
Although the Hosokawa eventually won the war against the Yamana the war had left them extremely exhausted to where central authority had essentially vanished.
and with that And the age of warring states had just begun.
Okay, quick summary of Genshin world. People are people, and sometimes if someone has a big enough ambition, one of the seven Archons (Archons are the 7 Gods who rule the 7 nations of the world) gives them a Vision, which is basically a magical gem that gives them Fire/Water/Earth/Wind/Lightning/Ice/Plant powers and stores their ambition in it. There's also magic, but like, that's just alchemy, and the player doesn't really do much of that, because w/e.
The thing is that Inuzuma is literally ruled by the goddess of lightning actively.
Honestly depending on when this is going on Perry might have an incredibly easy time. I won't spoil the plot, but like, Genshin Impact has an actually good storyline for a free game.
Okay. The Player Character and their opposite gender sibling (Canonically called Aether (male) and Lumine (female) in the official media) are beaten up and the one you don't play as is kidnapped, while you are kicked to Teyvat. You then fish up some emergency rations a floating girl called Paimon, and she comes up with the idea of asking the gods which one of them kidnapped your brother/sister.
Things get complicated because of two things. Firstly, the Goddess of Ice - who rules not!Russia - has assembled a shonen anime villain team to take very important magical artefacts from the other 6 Archons. Secondly, there's a gaggle of evil mages called the Abyss Order trying to do evil things for some reason.
For how Anime Character would look like in Real Life, I feel that "Soul Land" + "Throne of Seal" + "The Magic Chef of Ice and Fire" (Donghua) did a good job making realistic looking people with different Anime Hair Color and Anime Eye Color (See Videos).

No, the criteria for getting a Vision are unclear. Sometimes, people get one after doing something incredible. Other times, they get one even though they don't want one.
People often credit the Archons for giving them out. However, Raiden has explicitly said she's not responsible for Electro Visions.
Fortunately no, since we're dealing Inazuma specifically I'll use a couple of lightning examples.
Librarian who was studying at Magic University and decided they need the superpower to keep studying magic.
Pirate Captain who beheaded a giant sea monster with a claymore.
Forest child who had an emotional breakdown about needing power to save his adopted wolf family in the middle of a thunderstorm.
