FAQs
FAQ (Fiend Answers Questions)
0) What things enrage wdango beyond those one might reasonably expect?
Do not capitalise his 'w'. He takes mortal offence to that.
Absolutely do not refer to him as watermelon, watermelon dango, or any permutations thereof. make no references to watermelons in any way, shape or form unless it is strictly and genuinely relevant to the content of the quest. Even in such a case, make no remarks linking wdango and watermelon.

0a) Are there any nicknames I can call wdango without earning his undying enmity?
He answers to w, dango, wizard of dango, and most variations on cigarette. (don't call him 'fag', though, for obvious reasons, even if it is a colloquialism for cigarette).

0b) Can I get away with calling him 'W'?
When you are just referring to him by his initial, either capitalisation is fine.

1) What is rule one?
Rule one: What the QM says goes. If you think there is an inconsistency point it out, but for the love of god, don't argue with him about what is real.

2) Can the QM be trusted?
Trust the Dangous one in exactly the same way you trust one of the fair folk, or a demon that cannot lie. Anything he actually directly and explicitly says, or that is 'seen' on a story post is true, but any implications, insinuations, -faces, innuendoes, "are your sure?"s or the like are wicked deceptions, and should be disregarded completely. doing the opposite of what he seems to be implying doesn't work either, because he sometimes (usually by accident) tries to warn you off bad things.
That said, if he explicitly tells you something along the lines of "this is a bad idea" or "this will have serious negative consequences of some sort", then he is probably being truthful.

3) Can we trust things to be as they are in canon unless otherwise mentioned or implied?
Kind of. If it is left thus far unspecified as to whether a canon state of affairs is the case, and it does not in any way conflict with what you know about the quest, and it is not esoteric enough that wdango might have forgotten/not come across it, then you can at least tentatively expect that it is the case. Do not assume that it is so, but it at least gives you a starting point for your expectations. If it becomes relevant, but has not been mentioned, and your character would know it, you can probably ask your friendly neighbourhood QM. Hell, if you do, he might even tell you!

3a) How much does this quest correspond to canon though?
Not very, according to the QM. Some basic things will likely be the same, others... not so much.

3b) More specifically, will there be giant robots?
Unfortunately not. This is not a mecha quest, as wdango has a severe giant robot allergy. There will be no mechs of any kind featuring in this quest. Even human-sized ones.

3c) Wait, are you being tricksy? The Evangelions weren't actually robots, you know.
 You will not be piloting or controlling any giant thing. Is that any clearer?
Whether or not you will have to face any enemy giant things, I can neither confirm nor deny...
3d) Will there be angels?
There will be no angels of any sort, whether they are the eldritch abomination kind or the "hiding as normal human beings" kind.
3e) Wait, is Gendo actually nice?
:drevil:, apparently.
3f) Wait, is Shinji actually a high-functioning member of society?
Again, I am led to believe that :drevil:.
4) Is this a crack/humour quest?
It is not, so do not expect humour in the updates.

5) Ooooh! Can we suggest crossovers with write-ins? that would be fun!
What? Why the hell would you even think that? Does anybody even do that except in quests set in a bajillion settings already?
Absolutely not! Get back in your box!

It has been twelve years since your mother had passed away in a work-related accident -- and twelve years since your father had left you in the care of your aunt and uncle. Now that you have graduated from junior high school and gained some semblance of independence, you are moving back to live with him... although with admittedly mixed feelings.

While it's true that a part of you is happy at the thought of reuniting with your birth father, the truth is that you don't have any memories of him at all.

Sitting on the train and staring out the window, your mind drifts to how you have lived your life until now. You like to think of yourself as mature for your age -- enough so that you find yourself unfazed by the need to move to an unfamiliar city.

In the end, though, you have always been unflappable no matter what curve balls life has thrown at you, and... truth be told, one thing has always separated you from your peers :

[14] your Imagination.
[07] your Perseverance.
[08] your Empathy.
[09] your Rhetoric.

[X] your perseverance.

If at first you don't succeedin laying waste to the hosts of heaven, try, try, try again, and all that jazz.

[x] your Imagination
I think this is the Quest I managed to ping the crossover for.
The ages match up, at least.
