I'm semi-new here so I'd like to know how that works, since I'm looking for a co-writer for a project. If one of the mods/staff could explain how collabbing works here, I'd be grateful.
Oh so it's only for staff? Not for regular users? It is a forum where others can not view thread you create unless you add them as a collaborator (Thread tools => Thread collaboration). Staff (aka mods) can still see the contents but this is so they can do their job.
For us, it scales better than conversations and you get all the alerts and thread related functionality where conversations are quite limited in that respect.
I'm broke so can't afford that.
Ah I see.You can also be added by someone else who starts a thread in there, if they are staff or a subscriber (or otherwise have subscriber benefits, eg a gifted subscription).

I know about the PMs, but coming from SB (where people can ask to be sort of added into a thread as a collaborator), it's weird hehe.@eliamartin65 in case you can't find anyone with a subscription and can't/won't use discord there are also the PMs. Click on the envelope icon next to the alerts button and you can open conversations. Just have someone's profile name to start one and then work on your collaboration in private and when one of you posts whoever is the OP can just mark the post with a threadmark.
It's a lot more clunkier than the collab station, but it is free to use.
