[x] Ally()
-[x] Creme

[x] Enemy()

@Prok, can we specifically scout out the guys who are going to go after Creme?

[X] Ally()- Go find someone to help you! Alliances are allowed, and as long as it's just two or three of you, you can make it into the top six without having to turn on each other. But who? (You can pick this twice.)
-[X] Creme- You... don't know much about her, but she's got a fuckoff huge hammer, axe, cannon thing, that she wields like an artisan when she focuses. Which, she doesn't do often. Besides, she's gonna get singled out by people for some reason, and that... it doesn't sit right with you.
[X] Enemy()- Scout out the competition. Gain insight into two other students that might be useable against them later.

This seems good, that said think we should avoid modifying in combat since that could cost us.

I chose Modify() since we have space to add Freeze() to our loadout.
In game, you're limited to 4 functions at a time. I'm not sure that holds up here though...

Speaking of -- @Prok, can we augment functions with other functions like in the game, or do we have to unlock that, or...?

If we're limited to four slots Bounce() may be better than Breach() and Load() would be awesome at field wiping; though I guess with Turn() it doesn't matter as much, we can definitely do work with the current load out.

[x] Ally()
-[x] Creme
[x] Enemy()

If that applies here, then it should have been stated as such. There's no post here that says that.
Not arguing that, just thought that it was something to mention. Some disambiguation either way would be quite nice.

That said, I'm not keen on tinkering with the thing that keeps our brain from turning into "Califlower Soup" without full facilities. It brings to mind unpleasant comparisons with the operating room analogy the OP used when explaining why we need the Transistor.

I do kind of wish we had gotten to select our own load out instead of starting with a pre-selected one, but I can see the arguments for simplicity, and it's the QM's perogative either way.

The North Star option, had it won, would have given Jaune a very mild understanding of Hokuto Shinken, from Fist Of The North Star.

Hokuto Shinken in a nutshell- You hit people in certain places. People explode. Usually messily.

A martial art meant for assassination, as it turns out, when it isn't curing the blind and mute and making people forget things, because Messiah figures amirite, doesn't really have an effective non-lethal option when it comes to actual, no element of surprise combat. Which, considering you're going to a combat school, where you're not supposed to kill your fellow students yet, doesn't bode well.

... At least it makes sparring interesting!

Wait, would aura stop the style? If not then that would likely be extremely pants shittingly terrifying to hunters.

@Prok Something else I am curious about, did the powers offered have the ability to develop later in the story? I recall you mentioning that Spiral only got really good later in the story and in the Jojo series pillar men had the ability to become ultimate lifeforms. Looking at North Star I am curious if Jaune's mild understanding of Hokuto Shinken could have been expended if it won. Another reason I am asking is that I am also curious if our chosen power could improve in other ways down the line.

We at least theoretically know a little bit about the opponents that are from our class. At the same time, if we can put together a larger group, the odds of at least one of us making it to top six increases. What we lose in being a target we make up for in in numbers.

-[X] Mini-Moss- Cool with his nickname, and cool with his weapon- a cavalry saber that becomes a proper sniper rifle, alongside a backup knife/pistol combo. Simple stuff, but brutal as shit if you underestimate him.

We've got a decent loadout for mid-range support between the other two as things stand -- able to intercept enemies with Jaunt+Crash, drag them off course with Spiral, and work at a distance with Breach if the other two can keep enemies off of us. That means we can combine our versatile functions with a heavy-hitter (who'll need some defending before she shines, as she seems likely to do better once things get going), and a more precision-oriented guy who's likely to be able to keep his cool if Creme loses hers.

Mini-Moss essentially uses the weapons loadout of a military officer (plus the sniper rifle).

Right so stat analyze for strategies against our test opponents.
Athletics- C+/B-. Turns out having a supercomputer about the same height as you, that you drag with you everywhere? Very conducive to cardio exercise, and your muscles ain't looking too bad either. You could probably do 5k at a decent clip without breaking much of a sweat if you actually let the Transistor go for a while. As it is, you can still run 5k, but you're gonna hurt at the end.
Should be a bit of a surprise to anyone expecting a great-sword user to be slow instead of average speed. Edit: Oh and Jaunt() says hi as well.
Functionmancy (Transistor-assisted)- S+. I mean. You're literally the only person on the planet who can use Functions, Transistor or not. Kind of a gold medal by default. But, yeah, you're good at this. Like. Super good. Like. 'Don't even bother rolling' good.
We're gonna be utilizing our semblance more often then not most likely.
Gunmanship- C+/A++. With the Transistor and Turn() to help, you pretty much cannot miss with ranged Functions. With a normal gun? Eh. Still not too shabby. You're not gonna be the next Simo Häyhä, but you're not terrible.
Good since some of our functions are ranged.
Problem-Solving- C+. You have... the sprout of a decent strategical mind lounging about in that empty skull of yours somewhere. You can perform a basic analysis of most strategies, and, well, you can spot some of the more glaring weaknesses of opponents on your own.
Least Jaune can a keep a somewhat decent head to plan out how to move in turn().
Swordsmanship- D. Turns out having a supercomputer about the same height as you? Not all that conducive to learning swordplay. You can swing one, but good luck hitting anyone with a part that actually hurts. I mean, I guess you could concuss someone with the flat of the blade- no, no, bad! You're bad at this! Improve on it!
We really got to bump this stat up a bit. Guess we can do that while at Beacon via training.
Barring a few surprises I feel like we should be able to do somewhat decent on the fight test.

How many times can we use functions? How many can we use at once? (The Teleport one is particularly useful)
I just looked the game up and Crash() looks epic.

As it is now, freeze() seems pretty useless. Turn() gives quite a bit of time to act, and in the original game crush () followed by backstab with breach() forked by modification using spark() devastates virtually everything except elite early-to-mid game. This combination is breadth and butter until late game in Transistor.
