[X] "I am, due to an incredible amount of legal chicanery, technically 16th in line for the Norrell Lordship in the Kingdom Parliament."

[X] "I was banned from all Valish public transport for 6 months when I was 12."

Welcome back. It's always a pleasure to read this.

Now, I'm sure all of you know me from your History class, but just in case- my name is Professor Bartholomew Oobleck, and alongside being one of the history professors of Beacon, I am also the resident expert on Uncontrolled Semblances
Doctor. Unless this is a wilder AU than I remember.

[X] "I solved three of the 10 Gordium Problems, and I never received a penny for it."
Honestly, I'm really glad to hear you're doing away with the system. I know you worked really hard on it and everything but I don't think it was every a real staple of the story. Systems are only their so that people can visualize the progress of the character which I think you can do with just story elements or letting people continue to make new functions. Damn its good to see you back though. When you wrote about it being 5 years it made me think about how since I've started reading this 4 years ago I got a degree in computer science. I now know what the () after the function names are for.

[X] "I once accidentally joined, and then broke up, a group of criminals who were looking to hack into the Valish national bank."

Good to see this return! I started following this story several years after it started, so I never really got into the system elements in the first place, so switching to a narrative doesn't really change much from a reading perspective? Hopefully life calms down for you Prok!

"Hello, my name is Bartholomew Oobleck, my Semblance is Flying Rubber, and I once helped trick an old friend of mine into coming to class in a skirt. Fortunately, he had the legs for it."
That sounds like a Taiyang event

I want to know what brought this about...

So what you are saying is that if we want to gain more political power we should prepare some, "abdications".

Seems like the kind of casual use of his Semblance that he'd excel at.

It's great to see you again @Prok . I hope you're doing alright. Just to put my own two scents, I'm totally fine with a switch to the narrative.

Okay, what 'interesting fact' do you want to talk about?

Further note: all of these are true. You're just picking the one you want to talk about.

[] "I'm the second-best cook in my family."
[X] "I'm the second-best cook in my family."

So all of these options are interesting indeed. I chose the cook option because I wanted to give a conversation hook about Jaune's multitude of sisters, really. And how he is probably better at cooking than all of them.

As for the other options...

The 16th in line is intriguing, but seems entirely disassociated from mortal affairs.

Hacking shenanigans clearly plays to the strengths of Jaune's expertise, but I don't feel like having Jaune semi-incriminate himself about virtually hanging around the electronic equivalent of seedy neighborhoods enough to get accidentallied into a gang.

Gordium Problems seem even more like a specialized knowledge talk. And complaining.

And getting banned from public transportation is another good hook but is tinged negative a bit.

It's unfortunate to hear this story stressed you out so muck, Prok, but I am glad you didn't just abandon it.

Approval votes are ok here right?
