Personally, I am eagerly awaiting the day I can play the spine of the world ost to the scene of huge process worms (you know, the boss you fight when the ost usually plays) blasting a grimm dragon to pieces.

You forgot the part where Weiss is singing The Spine while riding a Spine to fight the dragon for maximum aesthetic.

I knew what I wanted to see from the first post of the crossover.

... I'm also having to come to terms with the fact that this vote casually dragged in over 80 people, which is, uh- 70 more than I'm mentally prepared for. My god.
You're a really good writer, the characters and world building are interesting, it's got great humor, Transistor is incredibly rare to see fan anything of let alone a quest where the MC can use the titular...device?(it's not just a weapon and tool is too limited), take your pick. Plus RWBY is pretty popular to see fanfiction/quests of.

Also helps that the vote was open for so long so people could trickle in over several days.

Basically, people like what you're writing and want to see more. Thanks for sticking with this story, even if it sounds like getting the systems/mechanics made is a pain in the ass. We appreciate it.

I heavily object to this idea for one reason and one reason only- you're suggesting that being so drunk she makes Qrow look on in awe isn't Meti's default state of being.
No, the clarification is that it is a level of drunk that puts him at border of awe (the normal state) and shame (which requires a specific headspace for Qrow).

The Dust, despite all the jokes about it, isn't seed money waiting to be used, it's a force multiplier to go from "mildly successful company" to "genuine threat to the SDC," once you start undercutting them massively- asking about it will get you on the path to getting
To getting what?

TO GETTING WHAT BRAVO?

so, is the process capable of building warships yet? imagine massive flying battleships with Laser cannon broadsides lead by a carrier launching flying Process forms.

I feel like I'm going to need to copy-paste this a lot lol.

Huh. I hadn't considered the possibility of the Escape Solution. With Processed Matter as building/construction material, there's really not that many obstacles to building a space station, lunar base, or extraplanetary colony.

There is the risk of The Brothers having wards in place that date back to the Creation Of The First Humanity, to let them know if their petri dish was leaking, and i doubt they would have bothered to disable such wards after their hissyfit when they left and shattered the moon.

BUT.

That is an easy fix:
1. Have the Process throughly examine Remant atmosphere and orbitals for petri dish wards.
2. Ask Ozpin to examine the moon and sky and stars and Process Data for petri dish wards.
3. Ask the Knawledge( here in my garage) Relic about petri dish wards, or if already confirmed, ask how to bypass.

There are a lot, actually.

1) No one on Remnant has any experience with going into space at all, let alone living there. They don't even have artificial satellites. I highly doubt they have any idea what orbital mechanics are like, and I highly doubt that they have any idea how to actually design or operate a space station.

2) Secrecy. Start launching shit into space with the Process, and Salem will notice very quickly. That is all kinds of bad. (This is also why launching unmanned Process satellites into orbit is a bad idea until we go all out against Salem; they can and will be seen, whether that means their launch or the satellites themselves in low orbit.)

3) Supplies. The Process cannot (yet) create food or even water; it can't mimic biological processes or even do chemical reactions with the body without causing some very messy, likely lethal harm. Sure, the Process could launch more spacecraft with resupply, but at that point, why bother?

4) Microgravity. Humans suffer from significant health problems when they stay in microgravity for prolonged periods. Specially designed exercise machines and routines help, but not enough to fully compensate.

5) Expertise. Namely, the total lack thereof. Sure, you can put people on the moon in a base constructed entirely by the Process, and the Process can do all the tasks and everything...at which point, what do the humans/faunus there even do?

@Prok Uh, you put the threadmark for Oz/Revelation() waaaay too early in the list.

Live somewhere Grimm can't get to them?

The things you've listed are problems to surmount, but the primary issue I was looking at was "Can Remnant Into Space?" Aka Make Space Ships That Don't Explode, which the Process would enable with some research.

If Grimm are made from Huntsmen, that actually might not save them. It depends how this fic chose to manifest their existence.

I was under the impression that Grimm emerged from Pools Of Dark Corruption and that Huntsman came about in response to Grimm.

There seems to be the potential for Special Grimm to be created by using a Huntsman as a base, but Grimm don't naturally come about because Huntsmen exist.

Salem made The Hound out of pure sadism rather then actually needing a huntsman to make grimm.
I'm not so sure about that. The Hound was much smarter, faster, stronger, and more durable than it should be for a Grimm its size and approximate age. If Salem could make a Grimm with those qualities WITHOUT a rare resource, you'd think she'd use much more than just one. Incorporating a human (or Faunus) into a Grimm seems to be an improvement in all areas. If it weren't for the fact that it seems that only people with S.E.s can be used, I'd expect that ALL Huntsmen would be captured instead of killed.

sure such Elites are useful but i get the impression such grimm are nice to haves rather then critical assets. Salem has waged a war of extermination on the Silver Eyes because they are a threat to her power and the Silver Grimm are but a side effect of that war and her sadism.

Speaking of, my personal pet theory is that the Silver Eyes are a threat because someone strong enough with them could pull a Medusa and turn her to stone. Even if it's not permanent, it could last long enough to basically imprison her, or at least give Ozma a huge advantage while she is disabled.

Thoughts? At all applicable to this quest? Maybe a Funtion based on Ruby's Silver Eyes? (Just thought of that, huh, that's actually a good idea lol.)
