The Smelling Salts honestly seem like the best bet and now I'm curious if the Transistor can potentially replicate the ancient magic system. It can imitate semblances, and there's clearly something either in the soul or biology that enables or prevents that brand of magic, both of which the Transistor can explore.

How about we gently introduce it and not dump it in since we're pretty much going to have to be dealing with Devine and magic unless you want Jaune to not even deal with the maidens, Salem or anything else like that along with Ruby because of her silver eyes (which are pretty much magic and devine) since they are all pretty much what you just described what we shouldn't get involved with.

Why can't we have his Cell tell the entire Cell network that Jaune is in in extreme danger and they need to do whatever they can to protect him?

Anyways, regarding the Transistor's fatal flaw that @Prok mentioned, it seems obvious to me that it's curiosity. It's used to knowing everything about anything within its scanning range, and spotting any sort of anomaly is a novelty it can't resist poking, no matter the risks.

So yeah, we're going to need to have a serious chat with our sword about investigating weird shit without telling us. At the very least Jaune deserves to know if they're about to chuck a potentially fucking fatal scan at the most prominent Hunstman in Vale. God damn man, what if Oz had actually fucking died? Jaune would either be getting tossed in prison/executed or living with the knowledge that his lifelong companion just accidentally murdered a man because they couldn't keep the curiosity boner in their pants.

Seems to me there's good odds they already know thanks to Lumen's Cell. Even if they don't, Lumen should be able to keep Jaune safe from common Grimm until he wakes up.

Also, I'm pretty sure smelling salts wake you up because of the ammonia, not because of the scent. Ammonia smells bad, but it also inflicts slight damage on soft tissue: not enough to be dangerous, but the irritation to the lungs triggers the inhalation reflex.

In other words, it's like getting punched in the respiratory system.

I can respect that, but it also would be nice to explore having more relationships and entanglements going on between teams in general though I know Prok . Plus Jaune leading his band of Signal misfits into absurdity while everyone else can just watch is too perfect. Bonus points if Weiss has Leather as her partner.
