Welcome to History of Nations Quest. In this quest you will guide a political entity throughout history. The focus of how you rule will be the internal of your nation's vital statistics: The economy, military strength, international reputation, etc. In addition to handling these, you will have to place a close eye on the various classes, coalitions, and/or special interest groups known as Factions that make up your nation's populace. In order to maintain stability, you must either satisfy the powerful Factions, or reduce their political strength to the point where they do not have the power to cause unrest.

Welcome to History of Nations Quest. In this quest you will guide a political entity throughout the history. The main focus of how you rule will be the internal of your nation's vital statistics: The economy, military strength, international reputation, etc. I'm still making this system, so any feedback on how to make it balanced would be helpful.

But for now the most important thing is choosing which setting this game will take place in. From there, you will vote on which political entity you will represent.

[] A Nightmarish Reality: In the year 2030, a small archeological expedition off the coast of Africa uncovered...Something. Specifically, it was a small box that should have remained closed. When it was opened, strange creatures began to appear throughout the world. In addition to dealing with your nations problems, you must deal with these. Before they grow too powerful.

[] Before the Revolutions: The Year is 1757. Currently the world is going through the Seven years war, the first global conflict in history. The war would ultimately shape how the modern world would develop. How will you change it?

[] The Cold War: 1946. The Nazi menace has recently been defeated, but not without the destruction of many lives. After the dust settles, it becomes apparent that the age of the old colonial powers is well and truly over, and that the age of the Superpowers has begun. How will you navigate the clash between Capitalism and Communism that will hopefully not become a blazing inferno?

[] The High Middle Ages. 1066: With the battle over the English throne taking place between the powers of Normandy, Anglo-Saxon England and Norway, the High Middle Ages have begun. How will you manage?

[] The Birth of the Early Modern World. 1560: With the early stages of colonization taking place, and the Sengoku Jidai reaching its peak, this era is sure to be a fun one. If you want to change how the modern world develops this is for you.

[] Write-In: I'll accept many settings, including semi-original ones, and some fictional ones. Feel free to get creative!

Play as Japan, Korea, one of the many Indian kingdoms, a nation in Oceania, or a nation in Africa of some sort? I'm fine with any of these, to be honest, and going up against the rising western powers should be fun.

If we choose this one I'd like to play a nation in Africa though a hundred percent just to see if we can overcome the challenge of rapidly developing one of those nations.

[X] Post-apocalypse. 2122: It finally happened. The most feared event in the human history , deadliest and the most destructive war ever. The event that ended civilasation as we knew it and started something new. Nuclear war. Decades after , descendants of those who were lucky enough to hide in the deep bunkers are recolonising the surface. The cultures , previously unthinkable now starting to emerge everywhere. Will humanity rise up once again or slowly die off , never truly recovered?

Hmmm, can we invade Germany as a Prussian tribe? It would be interesting.

Voting closed: HIgh Middle Ages Period Wins!

Next is the nation you will choose to play as.

[] Holy Roman Empire (Modern day Germany): Guide the venerable inheritor of Charlemagne's legacy during the HIgh Middle Ages through the Investiture Controversy, dealing with the various princes, dukes, and free cities, and more.

[] KIngdom of Goryeo (Modern day Korea): The Kingdom of Goryeo is currently experiencing a golden age after repelling the Liao dynasty so many years ago. Can you keep the good times rolling?

[] Kingdom of France: Now that the era of the Karlings has finished, the Capets are the dynastic heads of the Kingdom of France. Can you guide it through the turbulent medieval era?

[] Empire of Japan: The Empire of Japan has only recently gained control of Honshu (Main Japanese Island), and its continued sovereignty over Northern Honshu in particular is not a certainty.

[] Kingdom of England: England is currently undergoing an invasion by two powerful and able men, William the Bastard of Normandy and Harald Hardrada of Norway. Will either succeed, or will the current king of England come out on top?

[] Write-in: The choice can be ahistorical to some degree but it must be plausible.

Finallly: How long should each in-game turn be?

Huh, interesting choices.

I don't think I've ever seen a medieval Korea quest done before. Let's do a Buddhist Korea run, stand strong against the Mongols.

[X] 10 Years
[X] 5 Years

Love this dysfunctional mess. Lets lead the habsburg to glory.
