Of course, some of your theories wind up being a lot more on the nose than I expected, but in hindsight, hiding who the next interlude's perspective was going to be was almost certainly doomed from the start.
Well, if I might follow up my earlier comment: the only way to make things better than declaring him heir is to make him think you're competing with him for the attention of a woman. It makes me wonder whether his heart will be taken by Nero, who I could see Romulus or perhaps Nero's uncle seeming obsessed or something with her enough to trigger Lü Bü.
The alternative is that he falls for one of the Chaldea group, betrays the United empire / Lev for them, and then pledges himself to Chaldea, who are them faced with the dilemma of whether they want to allow into their ranks the man who is known for 2 things:
1. Being the best fighter. Period. Among men, Lü Bü.
2. Betraying his allies, master, father, etc, usually killing said persons, and then defecting to the other side.
I could easily see Action Mom or Taylor catching his eye, he betrays the United empire for them, pledges himself to them, only for them to turn things on him and kill him, possibly while saying some quip about the famous betrayer being betrayed.
Actually, if one or more of the servants they found on this current Island come with them, it would make perfect sense for him to betray his court for them, especially if it is the goddess of desire using her song. Then the moral dilemma of accepting the betrayer or killing him could be handled by them, and the twins do not have to deal with making a continuing ally who killed Lü Bü, who would probably scare them or disrupt their world view. In this case, Taylor would likely quietly or internally support the move, and may try to make some lesson out of it at some point.
